Candy Hearts

I called the post Candy Hearts because one of the papers I used was a beautiful dark pink colored bazzill paper called...you guessed it...Candy Hearts!  How cool I happen to be creating with hearts:)!!  I chose a set of Simon Says Stamp dies from last year that I thought were underused last year, so here are a couple new cards with some older dies...
With this first one, I used the doily die, die cutting the middle out of the doilies (adhering a thin die cut heart over the perfectly placed spot on the doily and THEN die cutting the heart out of the doily)  and layering twice each.  I cut a spot on the lighter pink one, and interlocked the hearts, adhering to card and adding glue dots behind the raised areas.  The  sentiment is from a new Simon Says Stamp set that I thought went perfectly with intertwined hearts.

The second one used the smaller die from the set which has an outline.  I die cut in the same colors as the first, but the borders twice, the heart in middle only one layer.  I used a T ruler to position the hearts straight on the card, popping up the darker pink ones.  The sentiment is from an older Simon Says Stamp set...one of my go-to Valentine's stamp sets...
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
