Happy Hello

My love for tulips had me stamping the tulip stamps from the pretty Simon Says Stamp Happy Hello stamp/die set from the Just for You release...

Kind of simply done, by stamping, die cutting, layering and adhering to a panel with on e of the sentiments from the set!  I popped up the whole panel on a card...and done....ahhh...happiness!  Here's a close up...

Tomorrow is APRIL!!  What??  Time is flying...hope you are finding making some time for you...whatever that looks like...but some cardmaking would be fun!!  Take care!!

Garden Before N' Afters

I purchased the Lawn Fawn Garden Before N' Afters stamp/die set over a year ago, and am just now taking it out the plastic ( I have a number of these kind of sets, but am trying to carve out time to create with them!).  !  I have made three cards, using different stamps and sentiments from the stamp and die sets for each of the cards...

The first card, I stamped, die cut, colored and layered the container of flowers.  I used a very old Simon Says Stamp die from the Lunch Box Notes die set to frame the flowers and sentiment.  I layered the frame, and popped it up on a piece of Sunny Studio patterned paper.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used a single flower, three times...

Super simply done, stamped, die cut, colored and layered three sunflowers.  I added a sentiment from the set, and popped up panel on card.  Here's a close up...

The third one, I used the blooming pots from the set...

Just like with the other two, I stamped, die cut, colored and layered each of the pots.  I loved these four little pots, showing a flower blooming, and with the sentiment...it all just spoke to me!!  Here's a close up...

Hoppy Spring!

I have made a card with the sweet Simon Says Stamp Bunny Egg die from their Just for You release!...

Simple, wonderful, fun!  I die cut the bunny egg, with all the pieces in it.  I put adhesive over the whole die cut, the put a die cut over the adhesive without all the pieces.  I filled in the piece areas with paint chips.  I then put three more die cut eggs together, just the outlines, and adhered the three over the paint chip layer, to give the egg a really thick look.  I used one of the die cut panels from cutting out the eggs, stamped it with a sentiment from one of the new Simon stamp sets, and popped it up on the card.  I adhered the egg inside the window, and done!  Although the card was not necessarily easy to make, I love the look of how clean and simple it turned out!!  Here's a close up...

Some Bunny Loves You

I have made a couple cards with the adorable Simon Says Stamp Some Bunny, from the Just for You release...

I die cut the sentiment three times, then used one of the panels from die cutting, to make a window panel.  I die cut some strips with my much loved Simon Strips die, in a rainbow of "softer" colors, and adhered them to the panel diagonally.  I popped up the white panel on the striped panel, added the sentiment, and adhered the whole thing onto a card.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used the same sentiment die, but brushed on my stripes with ink...

I die cut the die, then before removing the cardstock around the die cut, I masked sections as I brushed ink onto each section.  I then removed the sentiment from the cardstock, and layered the sentiment and adhered to a panel.  I added a sentiment from another of the new stamp sets below the panel, and popped up the panel on the card,  I added some Tonic Jewel drops, here's a close up...`

Happy Easter Flowers

 I have made a couple cards with the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Fancy Happy Easter die, from their Just for You release!... 

I used an older Simon background stamp as the backdrop for the sentiment.  I used my MISTI to stamp the tulips, stamping in smoke ink, then colored the flowers and leaves.  I put it back in my MISTI after colored and dried, brushing it with my Static powder, then stamped with versamark and gold embossed.  I cut it downm added the die cut and layered sentiment, and adhered to the card.  Here's a close up...

The second card, I used the same sentiment with a different set of flowers...

I used the pretty new Posy die from the new release, to make some flowers for my sentiment.  I die cut the flowers, keeping the pieces in the die for the bottom layer.  I colored the flowers and leaves with markers.  Then, I adhered two layers of just the outlines on top of the colored flowers, as well as another layer of all the pieces on the bottom. I adhered both the flowers and layered sentiment on a piece of light blue cardstock that I brushed white ink onto with a Simon polka dotted stencil.  Here's a close up...

Easter Blessings

I've made an Easter card today, with one of the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp hot foil plates and sentiment dies, from their latest Just for You release!...

I used my Glimmer machine, to transfer the gold foiled daffodil image onto my cardstock.  I colored with markers, and added the layered sentiment.  I added some Tonic drops.  Popped up the foiled panel on the card.  Here's a close up...

I have been challenged getting back into my craftroom...but I have made a number of cards in the last number of days that I will share with you, in the next number of days😄!  Hope you have had a nice week...looking forward to the weekend!

Folksy Heart Stencil

I've used a pretty new stencil set from Simon Says Stamp's newest Just for You release, to make a birthday card...

I was "going for" a Pennsylvania Dutch kind of feel with this Folksy Heart stencil set, so I chose a red, blue, yellow and green inks, to brush color onto the stencils.  I used the smallest of the Simon blending brushes, making it easy to use different colors within each stencil.  The only time I had to mask, was when I brushed on ink to the tulip.  I am stubborn, but my tulip had to be red, and if I had gone with the stencil, it probably would have been green, or the leaves under the tulip would have been red...so I masked around the tulip and made it red!  I had so much fun, and am happy with the way it turned out.  I would have loved to have a border around the design, within the heart, but free handing a border was not in my confidence level, and didn't want to destoy all the stenciling with a hand drawn mistake!  I die cut the design with the heart die from the Happy Hello die set, and then layered.  I adhered it to a piece of patterned Sunny Studio paper, with a die cut, layered CZ Design sentiment.  Here's a close up...

Just for You Blog Hop!

I am so thrilled to be a part of today's blog hop over at the Simon Blog, celebrating Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Just for You!  There are so many wonderful stamps, dies, and stencils in this springtime release...there is definitely something "just for you"!  I have made a couple cards using one of the wonderful new stamp/die sets, Herb Labels!  This set is beautiful, cute, funny, and lots of fun!...

The first card, I stamped the sentiment on one of the stamped frames from the set.  I stamped the tomatoes, die cut, colored and layered.  I added a tiny red layered heart, and adhered the frame, sentiment, and tomatoes onto a stamped background, using the tomato stamp, stamping in red ink.  The word tomatoes needs to be said "to-ma-toes"...like a New Yorker??!😄.  Here's a close up...

The second card, I went with another image and sentiment stamp from the set...

I chose a very CAS design for this rosemary stamp, and chose to use textured cardstock, to give it a more classic look?!  I stamped, colored and layered the rosemary.  I used one of the A2 Thin Frames, die cut and layered, to frame the rosemary.  I added some enamel accent drops.  Ahhh...love the simplicity!  Here's a close up...

Just for You Release!

So sorry, I have been MIA for the last few weeks. My daughter and granddaughter were visiting for two weeks, and my local daughter was here with her two everyday...there was wonderful chaos, and I enjoyed every minute!  I am back with a card made with a hot foil plate and sentiment stamp from the brand new Simon Says Stamp Just for You release, just out today!...

I used the new Spring Florals Hot Foil Plate and sentiment(perfect for the first day of this release😊) from the Easter Critters stamp set for this card.  I hot foiled the plate with black foil, then colored and hand cut the image.  I popped it up on the card, and added it to the card that I had stamped the sentiment on.   I added some sequins, here's a close up...

This release is FULL of very cool stamps, dies and stencils(I've added a link to the release below)...I have been having LOTS of fun to share with you for the rest of the month!  Hope you will check out the Simon Blog tomorrow and Saturday, for two blog hops celebrating this new release...I KNOW you will be inspired...hope you'll check it out!  Have a wonderful day!!

Big Hugs Made Simple!

I had the really pretty cool Simon Says Stamp Scripty Big Hugs die on my desk, and couldn't resist making a card... 

Super simple...the sentiment die cut layered, and then I used an old piece of patterned paper for the background, with gold strips, to go with the gold sentiment.  You could also use three colored pieces of cardstock with gold strips in between each.  I love this die not only because it's pretty, but it's also LARGE and fills a card, so nothing else really needed.  Here's a close up...

Love You So Much!

Did you ever have a card that you just ran out of time to put on your blog before it wasn't really relevant anymore??  Well, I have two!  I made these cards last year, but was too late for Valentine's Day, then St. Patrick's Day came and went, so they stayed in a "draft" until today...

I used Simon Says Stamp stencils and die for both cards.  For this first card, I used the Clover Wreath Stencil, brushing on two shades of green and a brown for the stems.  I dotted the berries with clear tonic drops, and added a colored, die cut, layered sentiment!  Here's a close up...

                                           

The other one, although perfect for Valentine's Day, is all about love, and love is everyday!...

I used the same sentiment die, and a couple Simon stencils...a heart mask, and layered confetti.  I first went over the heart with the three colors, then back over it with the stencil.  

My daughter and grandbaby have been in town for the last couple weeks, so it has been a bit crazy at my house of late...wonderful crazy!  My time with them is ending in a couple days, so I will be back soon!
