Blessings x 5

I used the cool new Simon Says Stamp's Blessing die, from the DieCember® release, to make five very different but very similiar cards for friends/family...
I was not the best at getting Christmas cards in the mail this year.  I decided, with the encouragement from one of my sisters, that a New Years card would be a great second to a Christmas card.  I chose the "Blessings" die, along with an older piece of Reverse Confetti rainbow patterned paper, to make my favorite rainbow flavored cards.  SUPER fun and pretty easy, I used the pieces of rainbow, black, and whtie die cuts with one another, mixing the pieces to make some colorful combos!!  The background was made with a discontinued embossing plate, but you could substitute that with other stripes/striped paper.  Blessing means God's favor and protection...how perfect, with the new year, to tell others that you want for them God's favor and protection!  Here's the first one...
and a close up...
The below pic shows the sentiment that is inside of each of the cards...made with sentiment stamps from two different Simon sentiment stamp sets:)!...I thought the words...PERFECT!!
The second card...
This one, I used glossy accents on the frame...loved the "shiny"!!...
This next one, the only color underneath the letters...

The fourth one...
...and a close up...
and last but not least, the fifth card...
...and a close up...
This was SOOOOO MUCCCCHHHH FUUUUNNN!!!

Life is Ruff

I made a card of encouragement from Simon Say Stamp's newest release, Love You More...
I used one of the cute puppies from the adorable Pawsome Love stamp/die set!  I stamped, die cut, colored, and layered the little guy.  Then, I put him in a window, with the encouragement being on the inside, when you open the card....
I used an oval die from a discontinued set of dies, and another sentiment stamp from the Pawsome Love set to let the recipient know that no matter how "ruff" life can be, to remember they are loved!!  I glossed up the heart with Glossy Accents.  Here's a close up...
This set is filled with adorable little cats and dogs....LOVE!!

Flower Swag Thanks

I used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Flower Swag die from their DieCember® release to make a thank you card...
I die cut the swag several times, leaving the pieces in one of the die cuts.  I colored this die cut with markers and let this be the bottom layer.  I adhered two layers over the colored flowers, minus the pieces.  I then adhered the layered die cut on a white panel, die cut with the border die piece of the set.  I added a die cut and layered Simon "thanks" die, and stamped a sentiment from the Tiny Words stamp set.  I dotted the berries of the swag with Tonic drops, and the centers of the flowers with Glossy Accents.  Here's a close up...
I am having such fun creating with the new Simon dies...hoping there has been some fun in your day:):)!!

Lots of Love

I have made a couple cards using the super sweet new CZ Design/Simon Says Stamp I Still Do stamp/die set, from Simon's newest release, Love You More...

I stamped, then die cut and colored the hearts with my sharpie and mark it markers.  I layered the sweet wreath(I LOVE these hearts and this wreath, especially!), then dotted each heart with glossy accents.  I used one of the new rectangular dies from Simon's DieCember® release, A7 Thin Frames die(the card is 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" to fit the wreath and rectangular die cut), and a sentiment stamp from the new Love and Valentines Words stamp set!  Here's a close up...
I made a second card with the same heart wreath from the set...
I made this card similar to the first, but making it a square card.  I embossed a white square with a polka dotted embossing folder.  I then popped the wreath and white panel on a piece of striped patterned paper(the pink stripes nicely matching the pink and shading on the wreath hearts). I used a wonderful sentiment stamp/die from the set.  Here's a close up...
Having so much fun with the new releases over at Simon!  Hope you'll check out the DieCember® and Love You More releases!!

I Like You A Lot Rainbow

I have made a card using a new die and a sentiment strip, from Simon Says Stamp's latest Love You More release!...
I LOVE this Rainbow Heart die!!  A rainbow in a heart...what's not to love??!!  I die cut and layered the heart.  I DID emboss and hand cut the bottom layers, as totally die cutting the heart leaves you with lots of unconnected pieces.  Embossing the heart gives you one piece, you just have to cut it out.  I then used an old Simon die, Circle Border, die cut twice, side-by-side, for a background.  I used Sunny Studio polka dotted paper for the rainbow and dotted with Tonic Jewel Drops.  I added a cool new CZ Desgin Sentiment Strips Reverse Love over the heart....the large font with the black background and white print makes a cool bold statement:)!!  Here's a close up...
I know this time of year is really busy so I want to say thank you so much for taking the time to visit  me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Leaves and Flowers Thank You

I've made a thank you card using the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Detailed Leaf die and CZ Design Thank You die from Simon's DieCember® release...
I die cut and layered the leaves (you could make TWO cards with the two colors of green die cut pieces), then cut the leaves with my scissors,  using the two end pieces, separating them with the die cut and layered sentiment.  I added some Simon Mini flowers, dotted with Tonic drops(love the Bubblegum Blush color!).    Here's a close up...
As always, such fun....hope you're not running too ragged with Christmas being less than two weeks away...Stay the course...take care!!

Simon Says Stamp DieCember® Release Blog Hop!

Happy DieCember®!!  December is the month that Simon Says Stamp's release is simply made up of dies, and Simon, being the amazing company it is, has actually registered the name of this release, DieCember®!!  Today, I am so thrilled to join a number of creative and talented artists, to showcase and celebrate this new release, via this Blog Hop!!  I have chosen a couple word dies with "you" being the main intent of both these amazing dies...oh, and yes, made with rainbows:)!!...
This first one, I chose the very cool Lined You die, and made the strips in each letter a simple colorful rainbow.  I used the die cut letters without the strips taken out as the base.  I then put tombow adhesive all over them, and next put another die cut over the adhesived one, this one with the strips REMOVED.  I then die cut four different colors of each letter and took strips from each colored die cut letter , placing them into each letter, to make a rainbow.  I popped up a panel with the shadow of the "YOU" die cut from it.  I used a black panel at the base of the letters and used a sentiment below the "YOU".  Here's a close up...
The second one, I used the very cool new The World Needs die to make a rainbow filled card of encouragement...
I used 1/2" strips of striped patterned papers, adhering them to a thin cardstock.  I die cut the World Needs die from the strips, then layered and adhered them to an also layered set of shadow die cuts cut in black.  I used the You Matter background stamp to give some "backup", words of encouragement sentiments to this very cool sentiment die!  Here's a close up...
OK...my fun is above, your fun is below!
Simon Says Stamp will be generously giving a $25 coupon to one commenter from each and every blog on the hop, simply leave a comment for a chance to win!!  The winners will be chosen and be posted on the Simon Says Stamp Blog on Wednesday, December 11th, so

It's DieCember®!!

It's DieCember® over at Simon Says Stamp!!  As you probably know, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, dies!!  This is the month and release that Simon Says Stamp has no stamps, only dies in their release!!  I have used three of the BEAUTIFUL new dies from what I'm calling the Shimmer Collection, to make some cards to share with you , and celebrate this new release!...
This first card is made using the Shimmer Snowflake...gorgeous die, right?!!  I made all my cards today the same way, so one explanation.  I die cut but did not remove the pieces from one of the die cuts.  I used my Sharpie and Mark It markers to color.  I then adhered a die cut layer over the colored die cut, removing all the die cut pieces.  I added a layer or two behind the two layers of die cuts, depending on how raised I wanted the image.  Here's a close up of the colored snowflake...
I decided to make this beautiful flake into a Christmas ornament, so in mailing, I would add some string, twine, or ribbon, and tell the receipient that they could use the string, poking it through one of the green circles, and the snowflake can be used as an ornament!  I have had people want to use die cuts I send them at Christmas as ornaments, so I am starting to make that option available, before sending.  I love it on a tree...
Then, I used the beautiful Shimmer Wreath to make a Christmas wreath...
 Here's a close up...
Then, with the beautiful flowers in these shimmer dies, I wanted to show you a way that this beautiful flower filled wreath can be used beyond Christmas, and throughout the year...
I again used my Sharpie and Mark It markers in 12 different colors!
What I love about doing it this way is that you can color outside the lines and when the white die cut is adhered over the colored one, it doesn't look it!!
I die cut the Birthday sentiment from black cardstock, then used my wink of stella glitter brush, to give the birthday a little sparkle...
And lastly, I used the Shimmer Butterfly to make a birthday card...
I used two shades of sharpie markers, black and gray...loving the combo of colors!!  Here's a close up...
OK...this was SERIOUS FUN!!!!  I hope you'll join me, Simon, and a bunch of wonderfully gifted artists as we celebrate this new release with a Blog Hop tomorrow!!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
