Hugs and Love

I made a card today, with the new Simon Says Stamp Luck and Hugs stamp/die set from their newest release, Sunny Days Ahead!...
I LOVE the stamps in this set!!  I thought the flower from the set that I chose to use for my flower wreath was especially cute in it's design, I HAD to make a card showcasing this little cutie!!  I stamped and die cut the flower a dozen times, colored with markers, layered, and adhered them to a base that I had made from two circle dies...
I layered each flower with one more layer to give them some depth, and added a drop of clear Tonic drops to the center of each flower.  I used the CZ Design Archie Jr Solid Alphabet die set for the "hugs" and part of a sentiment stamp from the Tiny Words stamp set  for the stamped portion of the sentiment,  Here's a close up...
Hugs, love and rainbows...happiness!!

More Hugs

I made another card with hugs, today, using two Poppy Stamps dies and a Poppy Stamps sentiment stamp set...
I die cut the Scribble Daisy Heart Frame.  I used my tombow adhesive runner and adhered all parts of the frame and flowers.  I then die cut a second frame and placed it on top of the adhsesive filled die cut.  I then die cut the frame again, in purple, and placed all the pieces of the flowers into the waiting adhesive filled die cut.  I then added one more die cut frame over the two, using glossy accents. I added the die cut and layered the Hugs Heart die, and added some tonic drops to the flowers' centers.  I used one of the perfect sentiments from the Greeting Basics sentiment stamps set.  Here's a close up...
Such fun...Hugs to you all!

Hugs

I think hugs are something we could all use a little more of, these days!!  I have made a card to "give" some hugs, made with some cool stamps and a die from the newest Simon Says Stamp release, Sunny Days Ahead...
There are so many cool stamps in the Luck and Hugs stamp set!  I used the "hugs" sentiment stamp, stamped die cut, colored, layered and added some Jewel Tonic Drops to the letters.  I stamped the square border stamp at a diagonal, using my MISTI for straight stamping!   I then stamped one of the smaller sentiment stamps below the die cut sentiment.  Here's a close up...
Hugs to you all, today, thanks for stopping by...stay safe!!

Congrats!

I have made a card with two new dies from the cool new Simon Says Stamp release, Sunny Days Ahead, for a much deserving graduate...
I die cut and layered the very cool new CZ Design Extra Large Congrats and Grad Hat dies!  The "congrats" was die cut with black and gold cardstock, the hat in black and white, with a gold tassel.  The paper is shiny black, a scrap from a book of papers used in graphic design from a friend. The paper for the hat was also from  those papers, as well, except a smooth finished black paper.   I used one of the new Reverse Grad sentiment strips below the die cut sentiment.  The background was made with the Simon's Grid Play background stamp.  Here's a close up...
Celebrating Grads everywhere...YOU DID IT!!  Congrats!!

Sunny Days Ahead Blog Hop!

I am thrilled to be joining a number of talented artists and card makers today on the Simon Says Stamp Blog, to celebrate Simon Says Stamp's newest release Sunny Days Ahead!  It is a release reminding us that there are Sunny days ahead, and celebrating those we love in our lives in the days to come, is sunshine!!  The cards that I have made for today celebrate Mothers...
I have used the beautiful new Stylized Tulips die for both my cards today.  This die is so lovely...intricate in it's design, looks like a painting!  For the first card, I die cut and layered the die.  I used watercolor paper, and embossed it with the die, to give an imprint on the watercolor paper. I then used my watercolor paints, and painted the paper.  I adhered the layered die over the embossed and painted paper, and added Tonic Jewel drops and one of the new Reverse Mom Days sentiment strips, adhered across the tulip's base.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used my much loved paint chips, as I wanted to give the tulip and leaves a "painted" look with paper, and the variety of colors in one paint chip allow for that...
I used three shades of purple for the flower, and two shades of green for the leaves.  I adhered the paint chips to a bottom layer,  and added another die cut layer over the chips. I die cut the frame from the Simon A2 Thin Frames dies.   I used one of the pretty new sentiments from the Mom Word Mix 2 set of stamps, added tonic jewel drops, and popped the tulips  and leaves off the card just a bit for added dimension.  Here's a close up...
OK...my fun is above, your fun is below!

Happy Mama's Day!

Despite what is going on in our world, right now, life is still going on, as well!  Simon Says Stamp has come out with a wonderful brand new release today, Sunny Days Ahead (and YES, they are coming!), a release filled with reminders that we need to celebrate the life that is still going on, Mother's Day...
I used the  new Outline Mama and some patterned paper to make two cards, exactly the same in design.  I simply used the leftover letters from each, for the other, as well as using two different colors for the backgrounds.  I die cut and layered the "MAMA" die cut.  I used a sentiment strip from the new Reverse Mom Days strips. I added two flowers(one the mama, one the child 💕) using the Simon Mini Flowers and Leaves dies, here's a close up...
Here's the second one...just like the first...
...and here's a close up...
Hope you will check out the new release over at Simon....celebrate the life we are living!!  Stay safe!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Big Bear Hugs

I used the adorable Simon Says Stamp Big Picture Book Bear and Big Picture Book Hugs(the body),  and made a card to give someone a Big Bear Hug, even though I can't do it myself, right now...
I die cut, layered and adhered the head, arms and body,  to a card with a patterned piece of paper.  I stamped the sentiment( from a much loved Simon set, Circle Friends, that is SEVEN years old...and is STILL available...yay!!) onto a striped piece of paper from Sunny Studio, as was the background  paper (used both so the colors "match"), and used a Simon heart die to cut it out.  I layered it a little and adhered it in the bear's arms.  Here's a close up...
Hang in there, everyone...sending hugs to you all!

Sending Happy...

Daisies make me happy!  I used some Simon Says Stamp dies and a sentiment stamp to make a card that I'm hoping will make someone as happy to get some daisies as will have been for me to make and give them! ...
I die cut the A2 Thin Frame Rectangles, then added a variety of black patterned background papers, layered daisies, cut from the Bixby Arch die set, and leaves die cut from the  Simon Mini Flowers and Leaves.  The sentiment is from Simon's Tiny Words.  After the card was put together, I dotted each flower with Tonic Drops.  Here's a close up:
Hoping you find happiness today...be kind to yourself if you don't, and know you are not alone... but know, too, that happiness will come back...please stay safe!!

United We Craft Blog Party!

I am joining a whole bunch of artists, today, over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog, to celebrate the craft we all love...cardmaking!!  In light of our world and country situation, there has never been a better time to send a card!  Having all the supplies and ability to bring happiness and hugs through a piece of paper is a real blessing!  I hope you be inspired, in a time where many of us feel helpless to do much, that we can bring hope through the cards that we make and give to others!
I have made three pretty simple cards to share with you today, all using the Simon Says Stamp dies and a simple "thinking of you" stamp...
This first one, I used the Simon Leafy Square and Blooming wave dies in combo to add flowers to the leaf die. On all my cards, I used paint chips for the colored die cut pieces.   I used the You Matter background stamp.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I used the Simon Sweet Tulip and Woodgrain Block dies...
I used two of the woodgrain blocks, put together, and then cut out around the outside edges to make the wood look like a tree.  This die is SO COOL for that!  Here's a close up...
The third one, I simply used the Simon Cupid's Heart Border with my paint chips and that wonderful sentiment that I have used on all three cards, from Simon's Healing Hugs stamp set...
Here's a close up...
Before I go...here's something that was sent to me...from my daughter who lives 10 minutes away, but who I have only seen from a distance or on FaceTime for the last number of weeks...
I love sloths...so my daughter, Emma made a sloth from my grandbaby Gabriel's  handprint.  She  added the painted branches, leaves and face, put it in a card, and sent it to me. She gave credit to  pinterest...but how cool and wonderful is this??!!  I was crying when I got this... it made my heart soooooo happy!!  My creative and artistic daughter!!  I miss my babies...
HANG IN THERE.. hoping today's party will perhaps inspire you to make a card or two to bring happiness to someone's day, letting them know you are thinking of them during these times!
Stay safe...we are going to get through this!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
