Sunblush Flowers

I have made a shaped birthday card, using a new frame die along with a beautiful new flower die set, both from Simon Says Stamp's latest Always There release...
I am in a frame mode, lately, so I used the hexagon die to actually make a frame for my flowers.  I made the card the same hexagonal shape, by die cutting it a bit above the fold of the card, thus leaving the fold for the card.  The only thing that needed to be done for this shaped card, was that I needed to cut a small piece off the bottom of the back of the card, so it would stand. Here's a pic of the back, so you can see the top and the bottom...
I layered the bottom layer of petals twice, as well as the leaves and centers.  I love to layer and love how it looks...what can I say?  Here's a close up...
So much fun...I don't try orange for flowers, too often, but loved the softer orange of the Melon...kind of Sunblush(the name of the flowers...hehe)?!
Please take care!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Luna Flower

I made a card using a beautiful new Simon Says Stamp flower die, from their new Always There release!...
This is called a Luna flower, and I'm thinking a Luna flower is not a dark pink, but I purposefully did not look, rather, looked at all my wonderful inks, and chose a dark pink color, something different from my usual, but I kind of fell in love!  I layered the petals as well as the stem, then adhered the flower inside a layered die cut frame, made from two rectangle dies taped together to make a frame.  The sentiment is from an older set, stamped, die cut, and layered.  Here's a close up...
I love Simon flower dies, and this one is no exception!  Hope all is well where you are...please take care!

Drawn Hearts and Timless Love

This is a card I made from a couple fun and pretty dies from Simon Says Stamp's Always There releases!...
I had originally made this as a thank you card, then literally took it apart and redid! This is what it originally looked like...
It was just too busy.  I took the dark brown strip out from behind the heart die cuts, and replaced it with a tan strip.  Yes, there are colored cardstock strips behind each row of hearts.  This die also comes with a stencil and would be so cool for making inked color behind the die cuts, rather than cardstock strips...but either way...so cool and also so versatile!!   I also used the Timeless Love sentiment die...in the same line as the thanks sentiment, except with a white background this time.  I added a die cut heart from the background die, layered, and adhered it into the "o".  I used a sentiment from a sentiment stamp set, also from the new release, for underneath the die cut sentiment.  I added some enamel dots, and popped up the panel on the 5x5 card.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a great start to your week...and hope, too, you get to be creative today!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Blooming Beauties

I have made a couple cards witrh a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder/stencil set, combined with new rectangle and sentiment dies, from their newest Always There release!...
This set is so pretty!  It has dies for the flowers, as well, but I chose to simply emboss, then brush color onto the embossed flowers.   The stencils also have some of the leaves, which I also think is so pretty!  I then brushed the darker purple ink onto a piece of cardstock, and then die cut the sentiment from it, so it matched the color of the card.  I stamped a smaller sentiment with the same ink, then cut it out. Here's a close up...

The second card was one that I simply used the stencils, to make a much simpler look!...
I used the same colors as the first one, then added some colored enamel dots(I color them with a marker with the same color as the flowers).  I framed the flowers with a new rounded rectangle die from the new release, which I used two of the dies, taped together and then when die cut, I layered them.
Here's a close up...
This release is so much fun!!  And this set is beautiful...with so many possibilities!!  Hope you are having a great midweek day!!  Please take care!!  Thanks for taking a look, today!!  Hugs!!  Lisa
