Cow Cuties

I have made a birthday card with an adorable set of cows, with a Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set, from their Every Happiness release!...
These cow are truly so stinkin' cute!  After die cutting a BUNCH of these guys(and girls), I chose to use four of them to line my mini slimline card for a money carrying birthday gift.  Mini slimlines are the perfect length for dollar bills.  I added a die cut grass, but had to extend the die cutting for the length of the card, by putting the cut grass twice through my die cutting machine by placing the die at the very end of the first die cut, and running it through the second time...thus extending the length of the grass.  Hope that makes sense.  Below is a picture with the money...
and a close up...
Hope your weekend has been a nice one...only days away from Simon's STAMPtember®...HUGE celebration of all things stamping throughout the month of September, in case you're new to stamping.  This is Simon Says Stamp's SEVENTEENTH YEAR...hope you will join me and a whole bunch of artists and companies, throughout the month for lots of fun and inspiration!!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Paper Cut Messages

I have made a thank you card with a stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's Every Happiness release...
This set of sentiments is so cool...I love the font and the size, choosing to stamp three of the "thank you" sentiments on striped paper, and then die cutting and layering.  I adhered them to a panel, then gave it a border...popping up and adhering to one side of the card, also having the same paper as one of the sentiments.  Here's a close up...
Oh how much fun!  I just had my son's ceiling lift fixed and this card will go to the company that fixed it...they were so helpful and did such a great job.  I have gone without his ceiling lift for a couple years, now, due to being unable to find someone to replace the lift machine, and then an extremely unaffordable quote.  I do have a floor lift for him, but the ceiling lift makes life SO much easier for him, me, us...and don't misunderstand, it was alot of money, but so much less expensive than what others had quoted me. And, they drove over 150 miles to our house to do it.  I am So thankful!!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Botanical Buddies!

I have made a card with a very cute stamp/die set, from Simon Says Stamp's Shine On  release!...
I asked my daughter what she thought these little cuties were.  I originally thought they were little fruit, but, by their very name, Botanical Buds, I took their little faces to be the bulbs of the flowers...right or not...that's what they are to me.  So...I made them all different shades of what a bulb might look like, and with that, they also happen to look like different shades of people, too...sweet!!  I am in love!!  I colored all their flowers to kind of go with the sentiment , then layered each one.  I stamped the sentiment, then adhered the little guys/girls to the card...kind of making them dance across the card.  Here's a close up..
Such...simple...FUN!!!  I hope you have had a great weekend...please take care!

Cottage Flower Birthday

I have made a birthday card for a flower loving friend, with a cute little flowerfilled stamp set from Simon Says Stamp's Shine on release, and square dies from their Every Happiness release...
I stamped and die cut the flowers, colored, then adhered them to die cut squares that I had layered...the top layer a glossy black square.  I adhered them to a card with a stamped sentiment, and another of the die cut squares...loved the lines in the corners...also layered, then adhered the squared flowers.  Sometimes when I look at this card, it looks like I'm looking in windows...hmmm.  Here's a close up...
Okay..such fun!!  These flowers are so cute and it was so much fun to find a way to use them just as the cute flowers they are!!  Hope you have had a great weekend...please take care!!

Deco Flowers

I have made a card with a beautiful small Simon Says Stamp stamp and die set, from their
The dies "make" this set, as they cut the flowers very closely, and, with some layering, give them a very cool, dimensional look!  I stamped several of the stamped images, then die cut the flowers from two of the stamped images.  I adhered the colored and layered(different levels of layering) flowers to the third stamped image, then layered it a couple times. I added a sentiment, popped up the flowers on the card, and put a layered frame around it!  Here's a close up...
...and a real close up close up...
A little stamp set with a lot of wow!  I had so much fun creating with it!!  Hope your weekend is starting out great...please take care!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Wild and Free Flowers...Die Cut

I had made a card with the Simon Says Stamp Wild and Free Flowers stamp set, but have since purchased the dies to that set(which I thought looked amazing, and they are)....so I've made a couple more cards with this stamp set...and now the dies!...
I love these dies, because they intricately die cut the image...and I LOVE that in a die!!  So...I used both flowers and sentiments,  and stamped, die cut, and colored the flowers...with their STENCIL...oh yeah, they have stencils, too!  I then layered them, and put them on cards.  Here's a close up of the first one...

Then the second card...
The background was made with a very old Papertrey Ink impression plate(those plates were the bomb!).  It is called Guide Line Grid Impression plate.  Here's a close up...

This was my card from a few months ago...
SO...MUCH...FUN!!!  So cool that a single beautiful flower could make a card!!  Simplicity at it's finest!!

Tissue Petal Stems

I have made a thank you card with a set of beautiful flower dies and sentiment die, from Simon Says Stamp's new release, Every Happiness!...
I die cut the flowers from white cardstock and brushed ink onto the petals, and leaves.  I layered the bottom layer of each flower, and then adhered them behind a beautiful die cut and layered sentiment.  The size of the "thanks" was more fitting of a horizontal A2 card, but with the flowers, I made the thanks fit a vertical card, but adjusted the size of the card a bit.  The card is 5x6...could have been a 5x5, but liked it with a little space on the top and bottom of the flowers and sentiment.  The fit has a bit more space on the top and bottom, but kept it with equal space on sides, equal space on top and bottom.  Here's a close up...
This card made me happy...just loved the flowers with the silver thanks...happiness.  Hope you are having a great start to your August!  Please take care! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
