Sending Hugs

I have been in the middle of tearing apart my craft room!! Now, mind you, my craft room is 1/2 my daughters old bedroom.  The room is still a bedroom and serves as guest room when we have visitors.  I have supplies in the closet and some various storage containers throughout the room, but the bottom line is... I have way too much stuff, and it is very disorganized!!  One of my words for 2018 is lean...and I don't just mean me.  My sister's words to me in the middle of cleaning any part of my house is to "thin the herd", and I remember one crafter saying some years ago, that too much stuff and a cluttered room stiffled her creativity.  That being said, my space for creativity is a bit chaotic right now.  I have held onto things for YEARS, and am realizing that getting my space cleaned out and up is going to be amazing, but it is also going to take some real time.
I made today's card a little bit ago...thought today would be a perfect day to show it to you!...
I die cut the Papertrey Ink "HUGS" from washi tape.  Yes, I love washi tape!!  Of late, I especially love wide, and cool colored washi tape!  The tape I used for this card, I purchased at ACMoore, and it looks like this...
It was the perfect width to totally fit this sentiment die with one piece of tape.  I layered a couple times, and added it to a card that I had embossed Papertrey Ink diagonal stripes and a PTI coordinated sentiment to.  Here's a close up...
Such fun!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Merry Christmas Elephants and Snowflakes

More leftovers...this time some die cut, colored elephants from W Plus 9 Designs stamps and dies.  I decided to use them to make a couple Christmas cards...Hey...kind of different, elephants on Christmas cards, I know, Elephants would be FAR away from snow and snowflakes...but they are cute... anywhere, anytime:)!!...
Snipped around his trunk and added a snowflake hung on a silver thread and added a bow...
The second one, snowflakes all around, another WPlus9 design die for the sentiment...
...a close up...
...and the "Merry Christmas" on the inside...
Having SO MUCH FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Having Fun With Leftovers...Joy!

I made a card with leftover die cuts...
I save my leftover die cuts.  Some projects work, others, not so much, but...call me a hoarder or maybe as I'd like to say, a hopeful hoarder, I save the die cuts I don't use for another day...another project.  THIS is what my craft desk looked like when I opened my 4+ bags of leftover die cuts to sort and decide what to keep or use...AGHHHHH!!!!!....what a mess, but what POTENTIAL!!!...
I chose to use the snowflakes from the discontinued Memory Box die, Snowflake Love Pendant die (on the bottom left in the above picture), cut them off the die cut, layered and used the Pretty Pink Posh Film Strip dies that I had leftover(in the middle), layering them as well.  I combined them with a piece of watercolored paper, that I had THROWN IN THE GARBAGE, my craft garbage can...but remembered it, and thought it would be perfect for THIS project...TOO FUNNY!!!!  I adhered them to a card that I had used the Papertrey Ink Impression Plate and then die cut the Reverse Confetti Joy to finish the card(layered too)!  Here's a close up...
I have ideas for A LOT more of my leftovers...stay tuned!!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Memory Box Squares #2

I used the Memory Box Square dies, along with some punched flowers to make a thinking of you card...
Sunflowers bloom in Summer and Fall, but their colors definitely speak Fall to me, and I thought a thinking of you card that matches the season was just what I needed to make:)!  I punched the flowers and added a punched circle for their middles, using some die cut leaves for a touch of extra color!  I textured the card for a little interest, here's a close up of the flowers and card...
The daisy punch can be found at Michael's, the flower is 1" wide (it's smaller than any daisy dies I have), the circle is 3/8" wide...just in case you were interested.  FUN!!

Memory Box Stitched Squares #1

I recently purchased the Memory Box Stitched Squares and Stitched Circle dies...ok, just have to say...these dies are SO...MUCH...FUN!!  There are literally endless combinations and variations of things you can do with them!  The title of this post is part of my way of listing the many different ways I can use this die, so...here we go with #1...
The dies on the packaging, show the dies kind of how I have them on this card, but the VERY cool thing is...the dies are ALL INDIVIDUAL..they ARE NOT CONNECTED!!  The packaging is a bit misleading, but how cool for us!!  I had thought of a bunch of ways I could have used them being connected, thus why I purchased the die, but even better that they aren't!!
I die cut and layered the outside squares, filled with a single layer of an embossed pattern(using texture plates) using one of  the cut out from each of the colored squares, added a sentiment to the card, then layered the squares on top of each other.  I DID hand cut a full piece of each color for the back of each square, cutting around each square frame as a pattern,  to adhere the layered sqares and the patterned piece onto the same solid piece for adhering onto the card more easily.  Here's a close up...

Happy Birthday Flowers

I made a birthday card with the My Favorite Things Stitched Flowers dies set and a Papertrey Ink sentiment...I know I've said it before, but worth repeating...I LOVE THESE DIES!!...
I layered the flowers, their centers, and leaves, added a Papertrey Ink sentiment, and some enamel dots, on a stitched rectangle!  Here's a close up...
I love making cards with flowers!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sending Hugs Trail of Flowers

I hope you are all having an amazing August!!  The card I made today, is one that uses a couple older Memory Box dies.  These dies are TIMELESS, and so is the sentiment that is with them...
Somehow, this Memory Box Botanical Stem escaped me when it first came out, I JUST got it...notice the name...Memory Box...I KNEW it was old when I got it!  You can still purchase it at Simon(the link below)...I think it's beautiful...I love trailing leaves...and these ones have definition, too!  I paired them with the older Memory Box Fancy Blooms (also still available), added a Papertrey Ink sentiment (I used my MISTI...stamping on textured cardstock is sketchy, but with a MISTI, being able to double stamp...perfection!!) and some enamel dots onto Simon Says Stamp woodgrain cardstock...ahhhh...here's a close up...
This card would be great for ALL occasions, just sayin'...thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
