Corner Blooms

I've made a card with beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Spring Blooms Corner die from their new Hello Beautiful release!...
This card is pretty simple to put together, and I always like that!  I embossed the image of the die on to a piece of cardstock.  I then colored the image with markers (love this because going outside the lines isn't held against you, they are simply covered up!). I then covered it with two layers of more cardstock, the second and top layer, I stamped a sentiment from the Stronger Together stamp set.  I adhered all this to a card with a pink background that was stamped with the beautiful new Botanical Split Background stamp (really love this stamp!)!  Here's a close up...
I DO dream of when I will be with my friends and family again... a day when this virus will be behind us and only a memory...please take care and stay safe!

Hello Beautiful Blog Hop!

So happy to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop, joining some amazing artists, to celebrate Simon's newest release, Hello Beautiful!  I have made a couple cards, using two of the beautiful flower filled stamp/die sets from this wonderful new release...
This first card, I used the lovely Lavender stamp/ die set.  I colored the flowers and the watering can, die cut, and popped them up on a white panel that I had die cut with the new Chunky A2 Scalloped Rectangle dies (I LOVE these dies, I have used them on almost every card I have made with the new release!!), and stamped a sentiment from the set under the watering can.  I stamped the beautiful new Botanical Split Background stamp with white ink on gray cardstock.
Here's a close up...

The second one, I was going for a different look than the first...
For this card, I used the pretty new Sketch Iris stamp/die set!  When I first looked at the iris stamp, I saw the lines in these irises as a kind of stained glass, so I colored the spaces with single solid colors, using different shades of purple markers.  I popped the die cut flowers on a white panel using the same die cuts as the first, and a sentiment from the set that I stamped and cut out.  I also used the same background stamp as the first card, stamping with purple ink.  Here's a close up...
I had so much fun making both these cards, there's fun for you below!

Baby Buggy for a Baby Boy!

I made a baby card with the adorable new Simon Says Stamp Interactive Baby Stroller die from their new release, Hello Beautiful!...
I might be dating myself, but in my day, this would be called a buggy...but stroller, buggy, whatever you want to call this, I think it's absolutely adorable!  I die cut, layered and adhered the pieces all together, popped up over a textured card panel cut from the new Chunky A2 Scalloped Rectangle dies (LOVE these dies, you will be seeing them A LOT!!).  I stamped the sentiment from the new Baby Gender Reveal set, I love that the sentiments have dies!  Adhered all of this to a card that I had embossed some hearts on with the Simon Layering Hearts stencil.  They were hard to photograph, they are kind of subtle, but here's a close up...

And here's a close up of the stroller (buggy)...
Such a cute die, and love the looks of this buggy...I mean stroller😄! AND the very cool thing, in case you no longer have tiny white brads (0h yes, I still have some!), this die comes with 50 tiny white brads!!   Hope you will check out the Blog Hops tomorrow and Saturday over at the Simon Blog, for lots of inspiration, celebrating this amazing new release!  Hope, too, you are having a great day,

Hello Beautiful Release!

Simon Says Stamp has a wonderful new release just out today, Hello Beautiful!  I have made a couple cards with the "beautiful" new Capital B Beautiful die and Slimline Beautiful You stamp set...
I love the font of this sentiment die!  I opted to used a rainbow of colors to show it off!  I die cut the sentiment from the strips that you see on the card, covering the empty space left from the die cut with the white panel.  I added a stamped sentiment from the Slimline Beautiful You stamp set and added some Tonic Jewel drops.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I opted to keep the die cut sentiment white with the background having the rainbow...
I layered the sentiment and popped the whole thing over a gray panel stamped with the Simon Crackle Background stamp.  I added some Tonic Crystal drops.  Here's a close up...
Hope your day has been a good one, and hope, too, that you'll check out the new release over at Simon!  There will be two blog hops showcasing the new products on Friday and Saturday, which you can join at the Simon Blog!
Thanks so much, for stopping by today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Birthday Cupcake!

I know I'm late to the My Favorite Things Cupcake party, but I finally got the sweet Frosted Cupcake die set, and the Sugar-Coated Sentiments stamp set and made a birthday card for a friend...
I made a chocolate frosted cupcake!  I die cut and layered the pieces twice each and popped them up on a die cut circle with a stenciled polka dotted background.  Simply done, but so much fun!!  Here's a close up of the glittered candle(done with my Wink of Stella brush marker) and cupcake....
Such great fun...may have to make more!!  Hope you are doing well....freezing here in VA, but thankful for heat and water....praying for those in our country without it...please stay warm and safe!!

Happy Birthday Flowers

I've made a quick birthday card to share with you today, made with the Simon Says Stamp You Have My Heart stamp/die set, from the Love You release, and a CZ Design sentiment...
I know I've said it before, but I am not a colorer.  I so admire the artists who ARE colorers, though!!   I don't own a Copic marker, and although I'd like to, not sure when that will happen.  I am going  to "try" to color with shading when I can, though, and do the best I can with what I have!   I DO  LOVE it when you have a stamp that I think, looks great colored plain, though, like the one used on today's card.  I simply colored with shades of yellow for the roses, and gave the rounded leaves an extra go over with the green marker to make them a bit darker.  I popped up the white panel as well as the flowers.  I dotted the purple berries with Tonic drops for some bling..see the close up below...
This card came together in record time....SO LOVE, too, when THAT happens!!  Hope you are having a great start to your week!
Thanks for coming to my blog today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Heart Filled Box

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  I truly think love is for every day, so although this day is the one designated for love, I have made a card for not just today, but for every day!
I made this card using a bunch of Simon Says Stamp products from the last couple releases, Love You, and Love You, Too!  I had wanted to make a box card for awhile, when the idea came to me a couple nights ago to make one with lots of pretty hearts.  I took all my supplies out to my den, last night, and had some super fun putting this box card together!  There are a couple great videos on the Simon website that show you how to put the box card together...you can find Nina Marie's HERE!  I embossed the Mini Hearts Party die onto the front of the box card.  I die cut the hearts from the Chunky Hearts Panel, and used strips of acetate, adhering a heart to each strip with glossy accents.   I then adhered the acetate with a little adhesive from my tombow runner to the box card.  I added a layered sentiment die from the Heart Animal die set.   Here's a close up...
And here's a short video showing the box card...love how the hearts can move...
Ok...this was a super fun card to make, and it makes me happy....hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day...

Love You Watts and Watts

I made a card with the sweet and adorable CZ Design Light Me Up stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's  Love You release...
When I saw this set, I fell in love with all the lightbulbs and sentiments, and especially the looped string which would hold lightbulbs!  I tried to make it into the shape of a heart...nah.  So I thought I would simply swerve the string a bit down the card and add some die cut lightbulbs.  I hand cut the string border. I popped up the white border over the black and added my pink colored lightbulbs.  I used my prismacolor silver marker for the tips of the bulbs, and used my white gel pen to highlight the bulbs. I also clipped the ends of the bulbs to make them look a bit more connected to the string.
 Here's a close up...
Simply done,  I think this set is adorable!!

Leprechauns

I'm almost 1/2 Irish, so celebrating St. Patrick's Day is a must...corn beef and cabbage every year on St. Patrick's Day!  But...even if you're not Irish, you can still celebrate with those of us who are...it's for everyone!!  I have used the adorable new Simon Says Stamp Leprechaun die from their Love You, Too release, to make a couple cards for the the upcoming Irish holiday...
The first thing I did was to die cut one of the leprechaun background die and one with the image.  I put adhesive on the background die cut, then carefully placed it to the back of the die cut with all the pieces....
This way, I had a "picture" of the leprechaun and where each piece would go.  Having just the background, leaves too much room for guessing and being "off" a bit.  After I had the two adhered together, I then put adhesive all over the die cut on top, the one with the image.  This made it possible to put each die cut piece into perfect position, without having to adhere each individual piece(and some of the pieces are small, so this was helpful and kind of necessary).  I adhered this little guy to a panel stenciled with clovers from the new Simon stencil of the same name, and a new CZ Design sentiment strip, both from the Love You, Too release.  Here's a close up...
I had intended to put my second leprechaun in front of a rainbow, but just didn't work for me, so I went in a different direction...
I used the same stencil as the first card, but this time using it to emboss the panel instead of stencil.  I also used the "luck" from the CZ Design Good Luck die, along with the same sentiment strip as the first, minus the "luck".  Here's a close up...
Hope this post finds you well...hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks so much, for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
