Iconic Christmas

I used a Simon Says Stamp Christmas stamp and die set, from their Sending Cheer release, to make a "sweet" Christmas card...
My visiting daughter wanted an opportunity to color with markers, so I gave her the candy images, and she made the beautiful carndy you see on this card!!  I simply die cut and layered them, and colored the Santa.  I adhered them all to a card and panel that I had embossed with diagonal stripes from an old impression plate, and stamped one of the sentiments from the set and gold embossed.  Here's a close up...
The images from this set truly are iconic...what fun to stamp...and color them...any and all of them make for a sweet Christmas card!  Please take care...thanks for visiting my blog today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Berry Vines Christmas Cards

I have made a couple Christmas cards, using a pretty new Simon Says Stamp embossing folder, along with holly stamps and dies, from Simon's Sending Cheer release!  I also used a couple wonderful Simon sentiment dies, as well!
I stamped and die cut the holly leaves and berries, then colored and layered.  I decided to use a sentiment die from an earlier release, and die cut from gold cardstock, and layered.  I adhered both to the embossed panel, and then popped up on a gold paneled card.  Here's a close up...
The second one, is much like the first...
I used holly and berries from another stamp/die set, and another beautiful sentiment die...done much the same way as the first.  This one is simply framed with gold cardstock, and popped up on a red paneled card.  Here's a close up...
Christmas is now, October 26th, officially less than two months away!  Hope your week is starting off wonderfully!!  Please take care!!  Thank you for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Cozy and Bright

I made a couple Christmas cards with a sweet Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set from their
I stamped, die cut, colored and layered the tree.  I adhered it to a panel with a gold embossed sentiment from the set, and framed it with gold matte cardstock.  I popped it up on a paneled card that I had embossed with an old PTI impression plate.  The star at the top, I brushed on glitter.  I added gold enamel dots where the ornaments were shown in the stamped image.  Here's a close up...

The second one was done much like the first...
The only difference is that I framed the panel with red instead of gold, and used the other side of the PTI impression plate for the background.  Here's a close up...
Simply done fun!!   Hope you are having a super Sunday!  The weather has turned sharply cold and is very windy here...rained most of yesterday...the kind of day to get under the covers and take a nap!  Will make it a fun one, no matter what the weather holds!  Please take care!

Fall Tree Thank You

I have made a Fall themed thank you card with a sweet Simon Says Stamp stamp and die set from their Sending Cheer release!...
I just loved this sweet tree from this stamp set! The name of the set is Winter Woodlands, but when I saw this tree I thought Fall?!   The set has sweet animals, as well, but I chose to simply use the tree and the stamp of a pile of leaves for my card.  I stamped, die cut, colored and layered the tree.   I stamped, the pile of leaves on the card panel and colored.  I adhered the tree onto the panel, and then popped up the panel on the card.  Here's a close up...
Happy Saturday...hope your weekend is going great!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Leafy Arch Wreath

I have made a card for Fall with a new Simon Says Stamp embossing folder and stencil set, from their new  Sending Cheer release!...
I embossed the wreath, then colored the leaves with the four stencils...brushing on four different colored inks.  I then ran the wreath through my Big Shot one more time to redefine the details of each leaf.  I added a die cut and layered sentiment, brushing on the same dark red ink of the leaves for the background of the sentiment.  I added some enamel dots, then popped the panel up on a card with a dark red panel.  Here's a close up...
Love the colors of Fall, and this wreath just made it easy to put them on a card!!  Hope you are having a fantastic Friday!  Please take care...and thanks for stopping by my blog!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sending Cheer Blog Hop~Day 2!

I am so happy to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop~Day 2 at the Simon Blog, celebrating their newest release,  Sending Cheer! I have used one of the beautiful new die and stencil sets, to make two cards to send cheer for a birthday and the Fall season!...
I took the picture above after I had just made my card...Here's an updated, more "formal" picture...
I loved this wreath the minute I saw it!  I did use it a little differently than perhaps it was designed for,  but that's what's so wonderful about it!!  I first used the stencil, and brushed on the color for the wreath. Then I used the die that cuts out the whole wreath, and die cut the wreath.  I then took the wreath, and adhered it to the detailed wreath, as I wanted the detail in the leaves, that only the detailed wreath could give.  Only thing was, I didn't want to cut each individual leaf...so, I embossed the wreath.  I ran it through my Big Shot with my embossing pads.  Now, with the leaves embossed and having detail, I used the detailed frame, to make two frames to adhere over the top of my wreath.  I used the general die, once more, to make another die cut wreath to layer on the bottom of the wreath.  Now, I die cut the flowers, colored, and adhered to the wreath.  I framed it, and colored the outside piece the same as the flowers.  I adhered it to a panel with a stamped and silver embossed sentiment.  I added some colored enamel dots, and here's a close up...

The second one was done like the first, with differernt colored leaves, different flowers, and a different occasion....
I chose the sunflowers for this card, with darker leaves for the wreath.  I also used a  label slide stamp and die for the sentiment .  Here's a close up...
Okay...as I always like to say, I had SO much fun making my cards...love this wreath stencil and it's dies... they are SO wonderful!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!

Sending Cheer Release!

There's a brand new release out, over at Simon Says Stamp, today...Sending Cheer!!  I have chosen to begin the celebration of this new release, by showcasing a beautiful set of leaf dies...
Feeling in the Fall mood, here in Virginia...the temperatures have been MUCH cooler(thank goodness as my AC failed and my daughter and granddaughter are visiting.  We did "adventure sleep" in the downstairs den to keep from having to go upstairs where it was very warm, for three nights.  It is fixed, now, and so thankful as it will be in the mid 80's today!).  BUT for a tree owner, of two VERY large trees, Fall also comes with falling leaves...
Most of these were raked by my loving daughters this last week...so thankful for them, both!!  I don't have trees that give you beautiful leaves in the Fall, but made the leaves of my card colored leaves that I WISH were the colors of my trees leaves!  These leaf dies are so pretty!  I die cut in white and brushed on color to each leaf.  I adhered them to a panel that I had stamped and gold embossed a sentiment from a recently released Simon set, from STAMPtember®.  I rounded the corners of the panel with punch, and added some enamel dots that I colored with markers, to kind of match the leaves.  Here's a close up...
There will be blog hops tomorrow and Saturday, celebrating this wonderful new release...I so hope you will check them out, over at the Simon Blog...you will be inspired...and I don't know about you, but I can always use some inspiration, AND there's free giveaways...it will be "hopping"!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Today and Everyday

I have made a couple cards with a beautiful Simon Says Stamp stamp and die set, from their STAMPtember® release!
I stamped, die cut and colored the flowers with markers.  What a beautiful wreath!  I layered and adhered it to a panel with stamped and die cut sentiment.  I used some white enamel dots, and colored them with the marker that I used to color the flowers, so that they would match.  I then colored the cardstock I used as the framing and panel for the background of the card, with the same markers that I used for the flowers.  This way, all the colors went together.  Here's a close up...

The second card, I used another of the images for the card...leaves and berries...
I stamped and die cut two of the leaf images, die cut, colored and layered.  I added some glossy accents to the berries, to give them some detail.  I added a sentiment from the same set that I had used for the first card.  I also colored the side pieces of the card with the same marker as the leaves, and popped up the leafed panel on the card.  Here's a close up...
Happy October!!  Fall is definitely here, the leaves are falling like rain off of my trees...and the raking has begun.  Thankful my daughter is visiting...she wanted to rake so badly, so she has taken up the mantle of raking, while she is here!  Fall leaves, fall!!😄  Hope you're having a great weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa
