Sundae Afternoons and a Rainbow

I started the month with rainbows, and wanted to end it that way, as well!  I have made a birthday card using the fun new Simon Says Stamp Sundae Afternoons stamp/die set,  from the new Rainbows release, and some distress oxide inks...
I brushed my inks onto cardstock in five colors, let them dry, brushed them with my static bag, stamped the ink blotches with the stamps from the set with versamark, and white embossed. I'm not much of a colorer, and thought it would be cool to use these fun sweet treats with a single color ink...super fun and SUPER simple!   I die cut, layered, placed on the card panel that had one of the fun sentiment stamps from the set, and added some Tonic Jewel drops for bling. I popped the panel off the slimline card.   Here's a close up...
Rainbows make me so very happy...hoping some real happy for you, today!!

Missing You in Vines

I've made a card with one of the new Simon Says Stamp embossing folders, from their newest Rainbows release...
I used a couple of distress oxide inks and a Simon blender brush on the inside of the embossing folder, placed a piece of cardstock in it and closed it, and then ran it through my Big Shot.  I cut it into three pieces and popped up on a black piece of cardstock and then on a mini slimline card.  I threaded a piece of twine through the back and around the panels twice and attached a stamped and cut out sentiment which I had pierced a hole in either side.  I really loved how this card turned out!  Here's a close up...
Such great fun...hoping you are having a great start to your week!

Rainbow Sending Smiles

I've made a slimline card using one of the fun new Simon Says Stamp wood stamps from their new Rainbows release!...
I know I've said this before, but stamping with wood stamps takes me back to my beginnings of stamping!  Stamping with rubber on wood is so much fun, and this Sending Smiles stamp is especially wonderful, because it can be combined with the Sending Smiles die cut! This card was simply done by lining up the stamp in the middle(side to side) of my cardstock, and stamping at the same interval for the top three and then for the bottom three.  If you stamp down and then up the cardstock, like I did, I think practicing stamping down the line and then up the line with the distance between the sentiments would be helpful.  I had to try a couple times to get it right,  only because I stamped the top three from the top, and the bottom three from the bottom, and the position between the stamped sentiments is different with the wood stamp, when looking to position from the  top and then from the bottom, so I didn't get it right the first time.  I hope that all makes sense.   I adhered a die cut and layered "sending smiles" sentiment in the middle of the rainbow, and then added glossy accents over each of the colored and the black hearts.  I adhered the whole white panel to a slightly larger black panel and then to the card.  The black kind of ties in the black sentiment, having that same depth of line.
Here's a close up...
Rainbows. smiles, and love, make me happy...hope your week is great!!

3D Card for a Friend

I've made a 3D card with a cool new Simon Says Stamp die from their new Rainbows release!...
There are several videos of how to assemble this fun 3D card (it's super simple), so you can check them out HERE...underneath this product on Simon's store website!  Once I assembled the base, it was simply decorating the stand up piece.  I chose to use the Window Box Blooms stamp/die set for my pop up piece.  I embossed the window on the white piece of cardstock, and hand cut the window out of the embossed piece, making sure i left the outside rim of the window intact to adhere my stamped and die cut  window to.  I added a stamped, die cut and colored window box of flowers to the cut out window, and added a die cut sentiment from the 3D die.  The "sweet friend" sentiment is from the Sweet Garden Blooms stamp set.
Here's a close up...
I made a short video showing how it opens and closes...
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend...June is flying by, find happy today!
Thanks for stopping by here, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rainbow Panels

I have made five, five paneled cards using one of the very pretty new Simon Says Stamp Embossing folders from their new Rainbows release, and some wonderful CZ Design sentiments...
I simply embossed five different colored papers in the Wildflower Field embossing folder.  I then cut all five of them at the very same measurements.  I used them in their rainbow order on all five cards, with slight variations in the backgrounds as well as the sentiments.
The first one, I used all black in the background with a white sentiment.

The second one, is all white with a black die cut "hello".

The third one, I used a white card, black background around the panels and a black sentiment .

The fourth one, I used an all white backgr0und and white sentiment.  I  layered this one, so I was able to wrap the floss around the whole colored panel, and not having to figure out how to wrap it around each panel individually.

For the fifth and last one, I made it with a white background between the panels, with black on the far left and right, with a white die cut sentiment.  There are SO many variant possibilities when making cards like these.  Instead of rainbow, you could use so many color combos...my daughter said ombre would be cool...and the background has endless possibilities!
I love when you can get FIVE cards from ONE thought!  These were alot of fun!!
Thanks so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rainbow Congratulations

I've made a card today, with new Simon Says Stamp die and stencil from their newest release, Rainbows, in, what else, a rainbow of colors!...
I die cut and layered the new beautiful Slimline Congratulations die.  I used the new Slimline Waves stencil with a rainbow of distress oxide inks for the background of this pretty sentiment.  I dotted the "waves" with clear tonic drops, for some bling.  Here's a close up...
More rainbows to come...such fun!!  Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rainbows Blog Hop!

I am thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop, celebrating their newest release, Rainbows!  Rainbows hold a special place in my heart, so celebrating this release will go on long after this hop.  For me, this is the start of a month long party of rainbows!  I am starting the party by using the wonderful new Repeating Rainbows Cling stamp having made a couple cards with lots of rainbows...
The first card uses the whole stamp, the second card, a happy accident, using the leftover strip from what was cut off from the first card!
This card was simply made, using twenty different color markers...and some careful coloring.  I put a 8 1/2"x5 1/2" piece of cardstock in my MISTI and stamped with gray ink.  I then colored all the rainbows...making sure I stayed in the lines as best I could, so my rainbows were as crisp as possible.  I took my heat gun over the rainbows after I finished coloring, and then put the piece back in my MISTI.  I used my magic embossing bag to prevent static, and stamped the rainbows again, this time with versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder.  I cut it down, added my favorite sentiment right now, from  CZ Design's You are Loved stamp/die set, stamped, die cut and layered.  Here's a close up...
The second one, simply the  leftovers from the first...
I added a silver strip behind the rainbows for a "little fancy" and a sentiment from the Simon XL Greetings  2.  Here's a close up...
I love getting two cards from one project!  These were such fun, and the rainbows truly just make me so happy!!  The fun is just beginning for you!

Love is Love

There is a new release over at Simon Says Stamp...Rainbows!  I have made three cards, in rainbows of all different kinds, all celebrating love!...
I have used the very cool and fun new CZ Design You are Loved stamp/die set for all three cards. This first one I very simply made.  I stamped die cut, colored and layered all the hands.  I did the same with the sentiment(which, by the way, I LOVE), and adhered over the hands/arms. I used glossy accents over all the hearts for some bling.  I embossed the card panel with a Simon Heart stencil, and popped up on a 5x5 card.  Here's a close up...

The second one, I made for a family member, from me and my family...
I used the same hands, sentiment, and heart stencil, as the first, but this time, I used a window to display our family when you open it...
I'm going to have my family all sign it before sending it to the family member:)!  Such fun!!

The last one, I used the rainbow from this stamp/die set...
I stamped die cut, colored and layered the rainbow.  I used a sentiment strip from the CZ Design Pride reverse strips.  Here's a close up...
I had such fun making these cards this morning!  There's lots of fun over at the Rainbows release, and two blog hops on the Simon Blog, tomorrow and Saturday...lots of inspiration for sure, hope you will join in the fun!!

Rainbow Birthday

I love rainbows!  Tomorrow, Simon Says Stamp will be coming out with a new release, Rainbows!  I decided to pull out a Simon Rainbow die and an older sentiment to make a birthday card, in anticipation of the new release out tomorrow!...
Such a simple card, but you know that's how I really love them!  I die cut all the colored bands of the rainbow, and embossed one of the total rainbow with the rainbow die, and hand cut the extra bands off the embossed.  I popped the rainbow up on a panel that I had stamped and embossed the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Critter Crowd stamp set.  I tried to color in the letters, but liked them plain, better.  My daughter thought that they would be cool with glitter, so I took out my gel glitter pen(I've linked one below that I THINK might be like it) and colored all the letters.  I popped up the whole panel on a white card...here's a close up...
Hope you will check out the new release tomorrow, over at Simon....and I'll have a new card to share with you...can't wait!!
