Rainbow Rose Bouquet

I've made a card with the pretty new Simon Says Stamp XL Rose Bouquet stencil, from the Born to Sparkle release!...
I used a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks to stencil in the roses on this pretty stencil.  I used the CZ Design  Hugs die, for my sentiment, and dotted the panel with Morning Dew Tonic Drops.  I  framed in silver card stock and popped up on a slimline card.  Here's a close up...
For those of you in the states, hope your Memorial Day was good...we are a nation filled with so many incredible heroes ...

Window Box Blooms

I've made a couple cards with the sweet and pretty Simon Says Stamp Window Box Blooms stamp/die set, from the Born to Sparkle release...
I was in a "red" mood when I made these cards...red tulips, red roses, red backgrounds, too😊! I love the flowers in this set...so sweet and pretty!  The first one, I colored the flowers and paper pieced the box...
Super simple in design, and I thought of adding bling, but I liked it just as it is...simple!  I stamped, and hand cut the box and adhered it over the stamped die cut and colored flowers.  I used the cool new Open Grid Background stamp, popping the white panel on the red background.  Here's a close up...

The second one, much like the first in it's simplicity, different flowers, different background (and bling)...
For this one, I used the pretty Spring Blooms Background stamp, with the same Simon Schoolhouse Red ink.  I added some red sequins.  Here's a close up...
Thank you so much for stopping by today, hope you're having a great weekend!! Hugs!! Lisa

Daisy Birthday

I recently got the Honey Bee Busy Bees stamp/die set, and made a birthday card with the daisy stamps/dies from the set...
I LOVE daisies!  I just purchased two huge daisy plants at a local nursery, and given our 90+ degree days, here in Virginia, I'm simply trying to keep them alive right now!  I stamped, die cut and then cut some of the petals of each flower to give each daisy some dimension.  I added some stamped and die cut stems and popped up the leaves. The sentiments are from Lawn Fawn, stamped, embossed, and layered.    I added some white tonic drops for bling, fitting them all onto a mini slimline card.  Here's a close up...
Daisies make me so happy, and I love this daisy stamp/die set, happiness!!  Hope you will have a happy weekend!!

Painted Flowers

I've made a card with the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Painted Flowers stamp set, from their newest Born to Sparkle release!...
I have fun making all my cards, but this one took me back to my beginning days...simply stamping to make a card!  I had every stamp off of the acetate onto acrylic blocks!  I used seven different colors of ink on the flowers and leaves. Despite the chaos, it was so...much...fun!!  I basically made a background by stamping a flower or leaf, one at a time, until the whole panel and beyond, was filled.  I then cut the panel down to fit a slimline card, and added a stamped, embossed and layered sentiment. I used versamark to stamp and black embossing powder for the sentiment.  Here's a close up...
I've added some slimline envelopes below, just for some ideas for a colored or white envelope for the card.  Hope you are having a wonderful day, thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Graduation!

I've made a graduation card using a couple of new Simon Says Stamp dies, and a CZ Design stamp/die set from Simon's newest Born to Sparkle release...
This is a simple card in design.  I used the Cap and Gown die set in combination with the gown die from the Class Act die set, to serve as a background for the Gown die from the first one.  I used a dark gray cardstock for the gown background as well as for the inside (bottom  piece) of the cap.  I layered the cap and gown as well as the background.  I used some rolled up adhesive dots underneath the ends of the sleeves of the gown to give them a little "life".  I stamped, die cut and layered the CZ Design sentiment, and then adhered all three die cuts to a gold embossed background, made with the Simon Halftone Background stamp.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are doing great out there....wherever you are...back in my craft room after a couple challenging weeks...back to having fun!

You !

I have made a couple cards using the new Simon Says Stamp You Shine die, from their new Born to Sparkle release...
It's funny how sometimes the smallest stamp in a set is the one I choose to use to make a card with.  I loved the little butterfly from the Simon Beautiful Mothers stamp/die set, so I chose to make a rainbow of them!  I used a die from the Simon Layered Hills die set to give the butterflies some movement.   I used the "You" from the  You Shine die for this card, and added a Simon sentiment  strip!  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used the total You Shine die...
I combined the new die with an older die, the Simon Burst die...looks like a sunshine for this card!  I used my Wink of Stella glitter brush to give the "shine" some shiny.  I also embossed the background with the Simon I Like Small Dots stencil!  Here's a close up...
Having time in my craft room makes me happy...hope you find some happy today!

Organic Fruits and Leaves

I've made a couple cards with the fun new Simon Says Stamp Organic Fruits stamp/die set, from their newest Born to Sparkle release!...
I think this set is so cool...the stamps that are designed for the inside of each fruit are so artistic/artsy looking!  I stamped the pear outline stamps on the white panel, then the stems and then a leaf on each of the three pears.  I then filled the pears with ink and then the leaves.  I used the remaining two stamps of leaves, and using the same color paper for the background as the ink for the pears, along with the same ink, I stamped the leaves all around the outside of the green cardstock.  I popped up the pears on the green paneled white card.  Here's a closeup...
I love the set of three leaves on a stem so much, I decided to make a card filled with them...
I used a whole bunch of Simon Inks and after stamping the three leaves outlines with black ink, I placed the three inside leaf stamps on top of one of the stamped outlines for placement and then put my acrylic block over them to adhere them to the block, so every color of leaf would be easier to stamp...once instead of three separate times stamping, and then the placement would be the same each time, as well...
I know my misti has become an important stamping tool for me, but nice and so much fun to be able to use my acrylic blocks, again!!  I added the wonderful new Simon Wishing You Joy sentiment die, die cut and layered, then popped up over the leaves  I added Tonic Jewel drops for some bling.  Here's a close up...
Such great fun...simply done and so much fun!!

Flower Cluster

I've made a card with the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Flower Cluster Wood Stamp, from their new Born to Sparkle release!...
I have to tell you, this card was so much fun to make!  I remember the days that I would make cards like this when I first started making cards with wooden stamps, when dies didn't exist.  Back then, I found it so satisfying and enjoyable to stamp, and cut out pieces of the stamped images to make a 3D card.  Yes, dies have made things fun, too, but these new wooden stamps are full of possibilities beyond simply stamping!  I stamped and clear embossed the flowers a few times, to make sure that I had enough images to be able to cut out each of the flowers so all the petals and leaves had borders.  The sentiment is from the new Spring Bouquets stamp set.  I adhered the petal and leaf  pieces to the stamped and colored image with glue dots, and added some tonic drops for some bling.  I popped up the white panel on a stamped red background, using the new Simon Open Grid Background stamp!   Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a great start to your May!  We've had some beautiful days here in Virginia, but I feel the heat coming on...enjoying each and every day!
Thanks for stopping by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sunshine and Rainbows

I LOVE rainbows!  When I saw the Erin Lee Creative Shine Bright Kit with wonderful rainbows and sentiments, I had to have it!  I have made a wonderfully simple and easy card with the rainbow die, one of the stencils, and sentiments....
I sponged on the sun, then positioned and stamped the sentiment with my MISTI.  I popped up and adhered the die cut rainbow with clouds over the sun.  I DID emboss and hand cut one of the rainbow dies, then put adhesive over the embossed rainbow, to attach all the cloud and rainbow pieces.  Here's a pic of the embossed rainbow as I was getting ready to cut it out...
And here's a close up of the finished rainbow and sun...
Such great fun...more to come!
