Foliage Circle

I made this card with a couple wonderful dies from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release...one Simon and one CZ Design...

I had seen Barbara's take on this Foliage Circle die, HERE(the first picture under the product), where she dotted the flowers at their tips...thanks for the inspiration, Barbara!   I loved that idea, so I colored my flowers purple and the leaves green then dotted the flowers with my enamel accents,  I ran the "hugs" and the circle panel through my big shot, underneath a piece of burlap, thus the texture.  I colored the sentiment with the same purple marker as the flower. I also blended yellow ink onto the background panel of the card.  Here's a close up...
Christmas is in FIVE DAYS ...ready or not, here it comes!!  Hope you are finding some time for fun and relaxation during these busy days!   Thanks for taking time to visit  me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Fancy Love

I have made a black and white card with just a "pop" of color with one of the wonderful new CZ Design dies from Simon Says Stamp's newest Hugs Release!...
I LOVE this Fancy Love die...it's aptly named the font is fancy and so sweet...it's just so pretty!  I combined the die with a new background stamp from this new release, as well!  I stamped the background with black ink and my MISTI, stamped it twice and cut it down.  I die cut the sentiment and used the piece surrounding the "o" and the heart, as a stencil.  I adhered it with a tiny bit of adhesive runner, and then some removable tape around it, then a very small blending brush.  It looked like this....
I then layered the sentiment and adhered to a die cut and twice layered background sentiment.  I added a hand cut then popped up, piece of a sentiment strip(I've listed the set of strips below).  I popped the whole thing up on a card.  Here's a close up...
Simply done...but I love black/white cards with just a pop of color...this card makes me happy!  Hope you're not stressing, 6 days before Christmas...I have very little ready, but will do better next year...I hope, anyway!  Take care, stay safe!!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!  Hugs!  Lisa

Hugs Release!

The new Simon Says Stamp Hugs Release is out today!!  I have made a card using one of the fun new dies, by CZ Design, and an older Simon giraffe die!...
When I saw this sentiment die, I KNEW what I wanted to do with it! There is an adorable new CZ Design stamp/die set with animals, but giraffes are a family favorite "wild animal" made so by my mother's love for them, so I had to use a giraffe with this sentiment!  The giraffe I had in mind is long, so I knew his height would be great with this sentiment, as well!  I know my card is simple, but kind of like things that way!  I blended some yellow, orange, and brown Simon inks to make a kind of "sahara feeling"?!  I used the same process to put my giraffe together that I used for THIS card, back in 2018!  I added some tonic drops and filled in the heart with some pink cardstock!  Here's a close up...
Hope you will check out the Simon site to see this wonderful new collection...thanks so much for stopping by!!  Hugs to you!!  Lisa

Winsome Branch Two Ways

I have used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Winsome Branch die from the DieCember® release to make two cards...one die cut being the focal point of both...
I have said it before, I am in love with the blended cardstock pieces from this release!  I used the pink/purple shaded piece, and die cut one beautiful detailed branch die from the blended piece of cardstock.  I have used that one die cut branch to make two cards...
After die cutting the branch, I EMBOSSED the die on a silver piece of cardstock.  I used that embossed piece to adhere behind the die cut blended piece.  This way, you have beautiful detailed silver leaves showing through the aperture.  I used the pretty "birthday" sentiment die, die cut and layered, for the sentiment.  I added "wishes" stamped with versamark, silver embossed, and cut out.  Here's a close up...

The second one...the other 1/2 of the die cut...the actual die cut branch...
I love the shine on this branch, and the varying color on the leaves...LOVE!!  I layered the branch and then used the die, to again, EMBOSS the panel that I would be adhering the branch to.  I used the same sentiment for this card, this time die cut in silver, and layered.  I stamped the "wishes"in Taffy ink and clear embossed.  I cut it out.  Here's a close up...
I LOVE die cutting...what a wonderful release the DieCember® release is!!  Having so...much...fun!!  Hope you are not going too crazy with Christmas looming around the corner...make some fun!!

Cheers

I have made a card with two of the cool new CZ Design dies from Simon Says Stamp's DieCember® release!...
I thought both these dies were just "made for" each other!  I decided to go with black outlined wine glasses...using glossy cardstock.  I layered the glasses with white cardstock underneath, and used a black marker to color around each wine glass, in their entirety, so that no white would take away from the cool black.  I blended red ink on some glossy white cardstock and die cut the wine pieces from the blended paper, and layered.  I die cut the "cheers", layered, and gave the sentiment some sparkle by pressing the entire sentiment into my versamark pad, sprinkling with Unicorn embossing powder, and heating.  I adhered them all to a piece of the new Color Blend cardstock!  Here's a close up...
I thought of adding bling to the card, but loved it as is!!  This card could be for Christmas, New Years, or for a birthday, celebration...the possibilities are endless...but fun and very cool!!

Evergreen Trees

I have made a card with one of the pretty, cool new dies from Simon Says Stamp's DieCember® release...
I die cut several of the line of trees.  I kept the trees in their original card stock cut out, and brushed three shades of green on the trees.  I removed the trees from the cardstock, layered and adhered to a panel that I had used a stencil and embossing paste, to make snow. I made the top layer of the trees a die cut minus the trees(I cut them off with scissors).  To that piece, I stamped a Simon sentiment and silver embossed.  Here's a close up...
The simplicity of this card DOES bring me peace and love...Hope you are doing good...not going crazy with less than 3 weeks to Christmas...have fun...really!!!  Thank you for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

DieCember® Blog Hop!

I am so thrilled and thankful to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp's Blog Hop, celebrating the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release!  This is the 10th year that Simon has had a DieCember® release...a month long celebration of dies and die cutting.  I can remember creating cards when dies did not exist...what an amazing and, for me, much loved, part of card making that came to be, when dies came to be!  I have used one of the beautiful new dies as my constant on all four of my cards, showing you how it can be used in different ways on a card, for different occasions...
I have used the beautiful new Whirl Leaves for all four cards.  The first one, I simply die cut the leaves in white and in gold and adhered together.  I die cut and layered the new wonderful  Flourished Merrry Christmas, and  adhered both to one of the new Color Blend Cardstock pieces.  Can I just say...I LOVE these papers!!  They are beautiful!!  I love that the color blending is already done for you, no ink necessary(and are done more beautifully than I could probably do them!!), cardmaking made a little easier...I am really in love!!  I have already ordered a number of them😄😄!  Here's a close up...

The second one, I used the leaves die cut in white with some vellum behind them...
I used some Simon Vellum for the leaves behind the white leaves, and  another piece of the Blended paper for the background, this time, teal/blues.  I used the letters from the cool new Thanks Frame die for the sentiment.  I also used the Simon T Ruler to make certain that my letters were straight...love cool tools!  Here's a close up...

The next one, I added some flowers to the leaves...
I had die cut the Whirl Leaves in white cardstock, and colored with two green markers.  I then layered the leaves with an extra set of leaves.  I tried to figure out ways to allow the pretty green leaves to go solo on the card, but they just "needed" something!  When searching through my flower dies, I discovered that I already had some layered Etched Flower Buds die cuts in their envelope, and I loved how they had lines that just "went" with the lines on the leaves...so done!  I cut them apart and adhered both flowers and the green leaves onto the card.  I die cut the new Fancy Birthday die in white for the layers and silver for the top layer, and adhered that over the flowers and leaves.  Here's a close up...

The last one, by my sister's request, I made the beautiful leaves into a sympathy card...
I used the leaves, die cut in silver, and added some of the also beautiful new Winsome Branches die cut in white and vellum cardstocks.  I adhered them to a piece of textured olive cardstock.  I added a white embossed sentiment and popped up the panel on the card.  Here's a close up...

I had SO much fun making my cards...now it's your turn for some fun!

DieCember® Release!

Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember® Release is here!!  A month to celebrate dies!  I have used 4 of the wonderful brand new dies to makes some gift card holders for all occasions!…
I don’t know about you, but I give a lot of gift cards!  This cute gift card holder is perfect for a quick, simple and wonderful way to give a gift card…you can make it as simple or ornate as you want, but with this die, you will definitely dress up a gift card, and make it even more fun to give!  I used three different pieces of patterned papers, thought it was so nice that they were two-sided.  I added a sentiment to the front of the holder, and layered each.
I adhered each of the gift cards with a large glue dot, and inserted the die cut end into the die cut slot…
What fun!!!  So simple and I love how nice they make a simple gift card look!  And again, you can use this simple die for any occasion, for any gift card!  I hope you will join me and a whole host of  uber talented artists for day 1 of  2 days of blog hops over on the Simon Blog, tomorrow!  This is going to be a fun month!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
