Happy STAMPtember®!

Happy STAMPtember®!!  There is a month long celebration over at Simon Says Stamp and their Blog, celebrating all things stamping (they have even registered the name!)!  I have made a couple cards to start off the celebration, using one of the cool new stencils, and a sentiment die!...
I used a couple of the new Tim Holtz Halloween products to make both the cards...a mica stain spray and a texture paste.  I sprayed the stain onto wet cardstock, and then let dry.  After it was dry, I adhered the stencil to the stained cardstock with Pixie spray, and spread the texture paste over the paper and stencil, then let dry.  The shiny/glittery silvery web shines through the paste...I think that's very cool!!  I used the same spray for the sentiment, layered it, then adhered it to the card.  Here's a close up...

The second one, much like the first...
For this one, I used a new spider die, and an older sentiment die, and another colored stain spray.  Here's a close up...

What fun!!!  I hope you will check out Simon's Blog, to find out all the goings on for the month of September, and the store website which I've linked below, to see the whole release!
There's a huge blog hop tomorrow to start things off, hope you will check it out!
STAMPtember® is going to be a blast!!
Thanks for stopping by, today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Stenciled Happy Birthday

I've made a birthday card using a cool CZ Design stencil set, from the the Simon Says Stamp Out of this World release!
This is a four part stencil, so I used four colors of ink to fill in all the letters.  I then used some sparkly enamel dots to give the stenciled panel some bling!  I did use some stencil spray for the "A" in DAY, to keep it adhered to the cardstock...just an FYI...makes for much better and easier stenciling with the pieces of the stencil that move easily to be pasted down.  Here's a close up of the finished panel...
I just realized as I was linking my supplies for this card, that my card is the exact same colors as the sample on the website...well..what can I say...great minds think alike??!  I think if you have four colors to work with for a birthday, pink, orange, green and blue are pretty "go to" colors....l love the colors, what can I say??!
This was my last quick card before tomorrow's Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® release...🎵see you
in STAMPtember®ðŸŽµðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜Š!!

Teacher Thank You

I have used the fun Simon Says Stamp Layering Apples Stencil set, from their Just a Note release, to make a thank you card for a hard working teacher!...
There are four stencils in this set, and I used four inks for the four different stencils.  I added the teacher sentiment die cut, layered, and a sentiment strip below it.  I also added some Wink of Stella glitter to one side of the cut out and popped up apple sitting on the sentiment, for some bling.  Here's a close up...
Looking forward to the weekend...STAMPtember® is happening in TWO DAYS!!
Thank you so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rainbow Sunshines

I have made a couple cards, almost identical (will explain later), with the very cold Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Background cling stamp!...
Okay...I have to tell you upfront, I LOVED playing with this stamp!!  I love puzzles, so this was alot like making a puzzle.  Each of the pieces of the "sunshine" disconnect from each other, which makes it like a puzzle to create with.  I took the pieces around the one I was coloring, to make it easier to only get one piece inked at a time.  I colored my sunshine in a rainbow of colors, and used a sunshine sentiment that fit perfectly in the sunshine's center!  Here's a close up...
The sunshine in the second one is exactly like the first, the sentiment being the difference...
This second card was actually done before the first card, but the yellow ink somehow messed up just a tiny bit on the end, so, being a slight perfectionist, I knew it wouldn't do.  I had already decided on the sentiment for the first card, so I made a second rainbow(the card above)...and had to decide what to do with the imperfect one.  Oh...cover up the ink imperfection with a sentiment!!  So, I used another sentiment from the same sentiment set, die cut and popped it up and the card, saving my rainbow sunshine!!  Here's a close up (LOVE the black embossing...sooo shiny!!)...
Hope you are having a great weekend!  STAMPtember® is less than a week away...can't wait!!!

Bunch of Balloons Birthday

I have made a balloon filled birthday card, with some really cool Simon Says Stamp stamps, dies, along with a hot foil sentiment plate!...
I die cut and layered the balloon bunch, and filled with die cut balloons, cut from Simon glitter cardstock.  I hot foiled the "birthday" sentiment, die cut and layered it.  I used two of the sentiments from the stamp set of the hot foil and die set, stamping in versamark and silver embossing.  Here's a close up(sorry about the darkness...seems it happens whenever there is metallic involved!)...
I had started this card so differently, and tried a number of different ways to fill the balloons, but like the purple glitter papers!  Had lots of fun...hope you are doing something...one thing that is fun, today!

Retro Flower Birthday

I have made a birthday card with three stamps and a die from the pretty, cool and fun Simon Says Stamp Retro Wishes stamp/die set, from their Just a Note release!...
This was made, by stamping the purple flowers and green leaves, then die cutting the flower bunches and layering.  I adhered them to a panel with the sentiment from the set stamped on it with versamark and black embossed....LOVE the shine!!  I turned one of the bunches opposite of the outside two, and popped it up over the other two. I dotted all the flower with white Enamel Accents.  Here's a close up...
Okay...such great fun!!  Hoping you are having a wonderful week!  Every day getting closer to Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember® on September 1st...can't wait!!

I die cut the flowers and colored the center with yellow marker.  I die cut the leaves from the Layered Perky Flower die set.  I die cut them with white cardstock and colored them with a green marker.  I adhered them to a textured piece of scrap paper that I had.  I added a die cut and layered Simon Happy Birthday, an some enamel accent dots.  Here's a close up...

Tim Holtz Halloween Distress Mica Stains

I have used three of the cool new Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Mica Stains, from the new Halloween Bundle, to make a "spooky" Halloween card...
I sprayed the stain onto water sprayed pieces of cardstock.  I then dried each piece and die cut the sentiment from each of the three colors.  I layered with a piece of Simon foam and adhered two google eyes to the backs of each of the "o's" in each spooky sentiment.  I stamped the Creepy Crawlers cling stamp and cut down.  I positioned each of the spooky sentiments to allow the spiders' eyes to show...well 12 of them...unlucky #13 didn't make it...he's behind the "oo's" on the middle spooky!  I just thought they were so cute peeking out behind the letters, I had to give as many as possible the chance to look out!  Here's a close up...

I LOVE the shine of these stains...such wonderful fun!!  It's never too early to get ready for Halloween!!

Layered Sunflower Hugs

I have used the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Layered Sunflowers stencil set, to make a card for a friend.  This stencil set is from the new Simon Just a Note release!
I LOVE stencil sets!!  This one makes for some pretty flowers!!  I used two different color Simon yellows, a green and brown inks to brush on ink to the cardstock.  I cut the panel , and adhered a die cut and layered sentiment with a sentiment stamp from one of the new Simon stamp sets, also from the new release.  Here's a close up...
I hope this weekend is a happy one for you!  Keep on crafting!

Fresh Cut Floral Stem

I have used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Fresh Cut Floral Stem die from their new
Just a Note release, to make a missing you card!...
I wanted to make the color of this flower something "different"!  Missing you, to me is kind of a "blue feeling", so I went with three shades of blue for my flower.  I die cut the flower from white cardstock, and brushed the three shades on, with blending brushes.  I colored the leaves and stem with a marker.  I adhered all the pieces of the flower together, and then to the stem.  I adhered the flower to a panel with the sentiment stamped on it.  I popped up the panel on the card, and added some enamel dots for some bling (and the two colors went PERFECTLY with the colors of the flower).  Here's a close up...
Hoping that you are having a great start to this week, and the last day of July!  I am thankful for a bit of relief from the scorching heat that has hit Virginia the last week...today a "cool" 87º, and the next couple days, expected to be even a few degrees less...yay!!!  Try to stay cool, hydrated, and happy!
Thanks so much, for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Just a Note Blog Hop Day 2!

I am so excited and thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop over at the Simon Blog!  I am, with a wonderful group of artists, helping celebrate the new Just a Note release!  I have used the beautiful new Super Sunflower Plate and the Retro Wishes stamp/die set sentiments, to make three cards using the plate die and sentiments in some different ways...

I love sunflowers!  This die has beautiful sunflowers and is so versatile!  The sentiments are such a cool font and come with dies, so they are a perfect fit for me and for these cards!...
This first card, I simply die cut the plate, colored with markers, and adhered to a piece of light gray cardstock!  I chose to layer the frame with two more layers, of  simply the frame.  To do this, I hand cut the flowers and leaves off of the frame, adhered the frames together, and adhered them to the full, colored plate, keeping all the flowers and leaves to create more cards with!   I added the sentiment, that I had stamped with two shades of brown ink...the darker first, then a bunch of stamping with the lighter shade(all done in my MISTI).  I layered it, and adhered. I also gently bent the petals of the flowers to give them some dimension...love that about the design of these flowers and leaves!   Here's a close up....

Then, I took the "leftovers" of the first card, plus one more die cut plate, and made two more cards..
For this first one, I used two of the flowers from the plate for each sunflower.  I used the leaves from the right side of the plate die, one set of leaves for each flower.  I colored, layered, bent the petals, and then adhered to a split panel of white with a sentiment from the same set as the first, and a scrap piece of cardstock with embossed lines.  Here's a close up...

The other "leftover" is my kind of clean and simple...
I used one of the flowers from the plate die, with a stem and a leaf, and used a second one to layer on top of it.  I die cut a circle on a panel, and stamped yet another of the pretty sentiments from the Retro Wishes stamp set.  I poppe up the panel on the card and adhered the flower into the circle!  Here's a close up...
Okay...I had SO much fun!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Flower Happy

I love the fun flowers and sentiments in the new Simon Says Stamp Flower Happy stamp/die set!  I have used a few of the flowers and a couple sentiments, to make a couple cards!...
I will give credit to the Case This Sketch sketches for my layouts!  CAS(E) this Sketch was a weekly card challenge that ended a couple years ago, I LOVED this challenge, and was able to be a part of some of the challenges...was even asked to be a guest designer!    The sketches are still available via Pinterest, HERE!   They are wonderful for inspiration!  I used my scoring board to score lines above and below the stamped sentiment, scoring on the front, then from the back, then on the front, and then from the back again.  I stamped, die cut and adhered the flowers to the card, and used enamel dots for the centers.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I made a mini slimline card with three flowers and a sentiment...
I stamped, die cut, layered, and adhered the flowers and sentiment to a panel, along with some more of the enamel dots. for centers,  I popped up the panel in the center of the card.  Here's a close up...
Hoping you are having a great week...any time I get to craft and make cards, it's a great week!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
