Hello Gorgeous Blog Hop!

Today is the first day of two Blog Hops over at the the Simon Says Stamp Blog, celebrating the wonderful new Simon Says Stamp Hello Gorgeous release!!  I am thrilled and honored to be a part of this release, celebrating Springtime, Mother's Day, and simply, everyday! I have used one of the wonderful new dies from this release, Stained Glass Sun die for both cards, to make a couple cards to share with you today...
I know this is a sun die, but when I first saw it, I saw a sunflower!  In light of the what is happening in Ukraine, I chose to make this a sunflower for Ukraine.  I chose a blue background, which is meant to be a blue sky, the blue of the sky and yellow of the sunflower are the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine. I chose the sentiment from a pretty new set of Simon sentiment stamps, XL Spring Greetings.  I thought this sentiment fit the blooming sunflowers of Ukraine and the hope of peace for this country.  I stamped the sentiment in Simon Mocha ink.  Here's a close up...

The second card I chose to make as a sun...
I used three different shades of paint chips for my shaded sun.  Just as with the first, I layered the sun die cut from underneath the top layer.  I used an older Simon sentiment die and a sentiment from You Matter.  I die cut the sentiment from a paint chip, like the sun.  Here's a close up...
What a wonderful die, and the new XL greetings are lovely!  I had such fun making my cards...my fun is shown above, your fun begins below!

Hello Gorgeous Release Day!

Today is release day, over at Simon Says Stamp!  Their latest release, Hello Gorgeous, is out, and has some beautiful stamps, dies and accessories for Spring, Mother's Day, and everyday!  I have made a card with the beautiful new Daisies and Leaves die and a new sentiment from the equally pretty Garden Boots stamp set...
I love daisies and love this die...it is so pretty and intricate in it's design!  I die cut, and layered the daisy, coloring the underneath layer pieces of the leaves and the dotted pieces around the center.  I colored the top layer of the center when I had adhered the flower together.  I stamped the "Happy Birthday" on a strip of white cardstock and popped it up on a polka dotted piece of paper.  I LOVE polka dots with daisies😊!  Here's a close up...
Simply done, but oh what fun!!  I hope you will check out the new release, I have a link to it below, and will join me on the Simon Blog for the first day of a two day hop tomorrow!  There will be LOTS of inspiration tomorrow and Thursday with the new release products, so hope you don't miss it!  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  This will be my quickest post ever!  I have been busy making corned beef and cabbage, but I quickly made a card to celebrate this day!
I used the new Simon Says Stamp Gnome Lucky stamp and die set from their Good Luck Charm release, to make a St. Patrick's Day  card!  I stamped, clear embossed, die cut, simple colored and layered the Gnome Lucky image! I DID have indents in my paper from the die where it made the cutouts in the letters, but think it's because I used a metal plate underneath my acrylic plate...so don't do that!  I didn't have enough time after I thought what I did had caused it, to have it done by today at all, so it will go up as is...love the cut outs...just don't do as I did!   I used a 3x6 card and one of the sentiments from the set.  Love the orange and green for St. Patty's Day!  Hope you had a wonderful day today...the corned beef and cabbage were delicious!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Thank You in a Stencil

I have made a card with a new Thank You die I just fell in love with...
I found this A Pocket Full of Happiness die while going on one of my frequent searches through the Simon Says Stamp store one night!  I loved the lines on this thank you!  I paired it with the Simon Radiating Squares stencil...loving the lines on the stencil to "go" with the sentiment.  I used a rainbow of papers and inks to die cut and blend color.  I hand cut the middle 8 squares  out of the stenciled cardstock, and popped it up on the 4"x6" card.  The sentiment is layered.  I used two hearts from the Stacked Hearts die...loving the outline of the hearts to go with the outline of the "thank you" sentiment!  Here's a close up...
This was lots of fun!!

Dreamy Daisy Birthday

I have made a birthday card using a couple of the new Simon Says Stamp dies and stencil, and a new CZ Design stamp, all from the new Simon Good Luck Charm release...
I thought these new Dome Arch dies were cool, and I thought using them as the actual card design would be a great way to showcase their shape.  I die cut a card from one of the dies, die cutting with the die just slightly above the top edge of the card, so as to leave the card pieces attached after die cutting. I then die cut anothe dome of the same size, and adhered over the card, so the dome was not missing like the card.  SEE BELOW.   I then blended three shades of yellow ink on some cardstock using the new Layered Confetti stencils.  I die cut  that yellow dotted piece of cardstock with another of the same dome dies, this time a smaller one than the card size, stamped and embossed a sentiment, and popped it over the card.   I added my die cut daisy.  I die cut the top and bottom pieces of the flower, slightly bending the topped, lined petals.  I blended the center pieces with one of the yellow inks, and adhered all the pieces together and onto the card.  I added three die cut flower petals, die cut from greem cardstock, and even though flower petals, they look enough like leaves to get away with it. I added some black floss, and done.  Here's a look at all the pieces before I put them together...
And a close up...
Had such fun making this card...it measures 4"x5", with the flower sticking over the edge, so it's still perfect for an A2 envelope...very cool! Hope you're having a great weekend!

A Supportive Sunflower

My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine.  I have made a card with one of Simon Says Stamp's Sunflower dies, the sunflower being the national flower of Ukraine and the colors of the Ukrainian flag being blue and yellow...
I used two shades of yellow cardstock and two shades of green(although they are so close in color you really can't tell, and another Simon sunflower die to texture the flower's center.  I used a sentiment strip for the sentiment.  Here's a close up...
The people of Ukraine are truly on my heart!   Stay strong and stay safe, Ukraine...the world is with you!

Printmaking Plants

I have made a couple cards with the cool new Simon Says Stamp Printmaking Plants stamp set, from Simon's newest Good Luck Charm release!...
This stamp set is so cool and so much fun!  I used Simon's Intense Black ink and stamped all the image outlines.  Then, I used the various stamps in the set, with my MISTI, for perfect positioning, to color in each of the potted plants!  There are four different stamps, so there are four different colors...Marine, Cadette, Field and Pearfection.  I loved to see how all the plants and their pots came to life with each color stamped with each stamp!  I used a square stitched square die to frame them, and added a sentiment from the set.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I chose to do a bit differently...a birthday card for a plant lover!...
I stamped the image outlines with Simon black ink and clear embossed.  I then colored the leaves and pots with my markers, and cut them out with scissors.  I popped them up over a die cut and layered Basic Box Card Happy Birthday die.  I added some Tonic jewel drops on a stitched rectangle cream colored base.  Here's a close up...
Such fun...both ways!!  Such a pretty set, and love the look of these plants!

Chinese Lantern Stem

I used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Chinese Lantern Stem die from their new Good Luck Charm release, to make a mini slimline card...
I researched Chinese Lanterns to find that they are orange.  I decided to color the stems and leaves green and the borders of the flowers orange.  I layered the flowers and inserted orange die cut pieces that had been cut from textured cardstock.  I used a sentiment from the CZ Design Well Wishes stamp set, stamping it at the base of the stem.  I popped up the flowers on the card base, and added some Tonic Jewel drops.  Here's a close up...
I then paired my card with one of the Simon envelopes made especially for mini slimline cards...and it's orange, just like the lanterns...
This card makes me happy...hoping that whoever I send it to will feel the same!

Linking Lucky Clovers

I have used the cool new CZ Design Linking Lucky Clovers, from the new Simon Says Stamp
Good Luck Charm release,  to make a St. Patrick's Day card...
I used my blender brush and the new Simon Lucky Pawsitively Saturated ink to color the card base and the cardstock I used to die cut the clovers from.  I then used the Simon Bubble Wrap stencil and went over the card base with the Lucky ink once more to make polka dots.  I die cut the clovers, then, for some dimension, ran them through the Simon Geometric Lattice embossing folder.  I made sure to line them up so that the lines of the lattice lined up with the lines in the centers of the clovers.  I added a sentiment from the Gnome Lucky stamp set.  Here's a close up...
Being half Irish, I love St. Patrick's Day!  Had a blast making this card!!

Good Luck Charm Blog Hop 1!

I am so thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop, celebrating Simon Says Stamp's newest Good Luck Charm release!  There are so many wonderful stamps, dies, stencils, inks, and more, in this release! I have chosen to showcase tow of the new Simon stencil sets and one of the new sentiment dies from CZ Design, to make some "feelings" cards!...
These 4-part stencils are so much fun, and make it so easy to make a background for a card, so that all that is needed is a sentiment to make a wonderful card!  For this first one, I sued the Interlocking Circles stencil set with four different inksm one of them, the prettfrom Simons'y Guava(pink), is a new color!  I chose the colors to hopefully  cheer up the recipient!  I layered the CZ Design Feel Better Soon die cut sentiment , and used a piece of vellum for the background to help the sentiment stand apart from the background, but still see some of the background for continuity.  I used a small heart die from Simon's Hearts and Stars Shapes (one of my favorite and most used dies!)and die cut and layered the heart from c yardstick with the same  lended Guava as the card.  Here's a close up...

For the second one, I went with a "bluer" theme...miss you...
I used the cool new Radiating Squares stencil set and the Simon Miss You die for this card.  Like the first card, I used the four colors of ink for this card, three blues, and a brown!  I layered and popped up the colored sentiment, and popped up the square colored background.  Here's a close up...
I had so much fun making these cards!!  My fun is above, your fun is below...
Simon will generously be giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop, from the comments section.  Please leave a comment, if you want to be in the running for the $25.  Simon will announce the winners on their BLOG on Wednesday, February 23rd, so make sure you check the Simon Blog on the 23rd to see if you are a winner!  All the stops on the hop are listed belowm so you will know where to go next!...
TWO important things before I end my rambling...
Don't forget about the off in the banner at the top of mt post!
While supplies last, you will receive a free Simon Birthday Cupcake stamp set with any purchase!  This offer is only good for not obly as long as supplies last, but only until the end of the day on February 20th, so don't wait!

Good Luck Charm Release!

There's a new release over at Simon Says Stamp...Good Luck Charm!  I have made a birthday card with two of the wonderful new dies from this release...
I die cut and layered both the balloon background as well as the "happy birthday" sentiment.  I used Sunny Studio paper for the balloons, and some tonic drops for some added interest!  I also used some vellum behind the sentiment to keep attention to the sentiment on the sentiment, but not to overpower the background.  Here's a close up...
I hope you will check out the Simon website, I also have it linked below, to see all the new products available with this wonderful new release!  There will be blog hops tomorrow and Saturday, so make sure to check out the Simon Blog for two days of amazing inspiration using stamps, dies, and beyond, from this release...fun!!

Love on Your Birthday

Just having come off of Valentine's Day, a "loving" reminder that hearts are for Every Day...and today, for Birthdays!  I used the Simon Says Stamp So Much Love stamp/die set from their To the Moon release, and the new Tossed Hearts background stamp from their And Back Again release, all to make a rainbow of hearts birthday card...
I used my static bag, to make sure my piece of cardstock had no static, as I stamped it with the background stamp and versamark.  I embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then brushed the inks across the paper diagonally.  I added the die cut sentiment and stamped and cut sentiment to the hearts and popped up on card.  Here's a close up...
Oh how I love hearts!  Combined with a rainbow, sheer happiness!!  Hope you are having a good day!!

Happy Love Day!

I have made a couple cards to share with you today, on this, the day of Love!  I have used the CZ Design Love Garden Greetings from the Simon Says Stamp To the Moon release!...
I stamped, and then cut the heart garden, adhered a piece of polka dotted paper behind the garden, and attached them both to a card.  I then stamped embossed, and die cut the sentiment and adhered to the card.  I added Tonic drops to each heart for som bling!  Here's a close up...
The second one was actually the first one I had made, for a birthday, a rainbow of hearts, and 1/4" less in the height...
I used a scrap piece of polka dotted paper...I love a true black paper with smaller white  dots...paper like this is very hard to find.  Here's a close up of the gloss on the hearts and the gloss from the black embossed sentiment...
Hearts are great for Love Day, but hearts and love are for everyday...Happy Valentine's Day!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Hugs!! Lisa
