I have made a birthday card with a beautiful new set of dies from Simon Says Stamp's new Beautiful Moments release!...
This card originally started out as an Easter card...
I went back and forth about keeping it an Easter card, because I wasn't sure about my flower colors. I thought that if this was really a basket full of Easter flowers, they should be more "pastelly"...so I pulled off the Happy Easter successfully(it was glued), and replaced it with a "happy birthday" from the same stamp/die set! I so love the flexibilty of cardmaking!! My daughter later told me that the flowers were fine, but by that time, the deed had already been done, so birthday card it is! I die cut the basket from wood cardstock and layered both the basket and the handle, to give them a bit more heft, depth, and sturdiness. I filled it with the die cut flowers after adhering it to the textured cardstock card(thought it needed some texture, but not too much). I added the stamped, die cut, and layered sentiment. Here's a close up...
I can hardly wait until my garden starts to pop up flowers...the warm weather is here, in Virginia...open window time, for me!! Hope you are having a good week...please take care!
Thanks for visiting me today!!
Hugs!! Lisa
