Blooming Wave...the Long and Short of It!

I used the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Blooming Wave die to make a few cards!  This border die is soooo pretty...it needs nothing besides a sentiment!!  On the first one, I used the die as is, and made a card with the full border...
Below, I show you how I made the card with a part of the border die...I did the same for this first card.  I layered each of rhe flowers 3 times, the leaves twice.  I added some white Tonic Crystal drops in various sizes throughout the border.  I stamped a sentiment from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set with versamark and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
I then took and shortened the border, using only the middle section...
This is how I did it.  I die cut the border, then cut it into a strip, lightly adhered it to the card and used it as a template to place and adhere the flowers and leaves...
I layered these as well and used a smaller sentiment, from Bouquet of Thanks stamp set.  Here's a close up...
The third one, I did the same as the second one, this time on black, with a rainbow of flowers( you know me and rainbows!!)...
I used some green Tonic Crystal drops for this border, and I used the new My Favorite Things striped paper for the bottom of this last card( you ALSO KNOW I LOVE striped strips!!!!)...this was so much fun!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rejoice

I made a card with the new Simon Says Stamp Easter Greetings stamp set...
I stamped the cross with woodgrain paper, and cut out.  I stamped and colored the flowers and dotted with white Tonic Crystal drops.  I stamped the same flowers all around the background card panel with a light ink and layered the panel that the cross and sentiment are on.  Here's a close up...
Here's a close up of the stamped flowers...very faint, but gives some dimension and texture to the panel...
Easter IS a time to rejoice:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Thankful Heart

I am having fun with some new sentiment dies that I got by Penny Black!  The Thankful Heart die is the one I chose to use today:)!...
What is SO cool about this die,  is that it's shape and cute font, really "seem" designed to perfectly fit into a heart!!  I used some older patterned paper by Reverse Confetti with hearts on it, to make a rainbow of color for this sentiment!  I layered it, and adhered it to a very contrasting piece of black cardstock.  I added some enamel dots, and adhered it all to a card panel that I layered a couple times from below.  Here's a close up...
Such fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Doodle Egg Background

I had some WONDERFUL fun coloring the eggs on the new Simon Says Stamp Doodle Egg Background stamp!!  I made two cards, one colored, one left uncolored...
I used my Prismacolor markers and cut the stamped images into a little less than 1/2 the whole stamped image, and colored the stamped and embossed eggs.  I popped them up on a card stamped with a new sentiment from the Easter Greetings set.  Here's a close up...
The second one is kind of like one I made with another Simon background, HERE.   The card today is made with the new Doodle Egg Background stamp and Simon Big Thanks die.  I cut strips of pastel colored cardstock a little more than 1/2", adhered them to thin cardstock and die cut then layered the sentiment...
I added some Tonic Jewel drops and adhered the panel to a card with a tiny bit of overlap in the card...thought it looked cool.  Here's a close up of the sentiment...
We're supposed to get SNOW tomorrow...I'd like to say Spring has sprung, but Winter seems to be hanging on...there's Spring AND fun in the craft room, though!!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Penny Black Flower Flourishes

Penny Black has come out with a pretty flower die and some really cool sentiment dies(and I LOVE sentiment dies!!).  I used both the small and the large flower dies from the Penny Black die set Flower Flourish die set to make a Birthday AND a Thank You card...
The daisies are layered and the centers are from the Poppy Stamps Floral Cluster die.  I cut the stems with my paper cutter and used the Simon Says Stamp Grid Background stamp for the background.  Here's a close up...
The second one, much like the first, but used the whole flower flourish and a different Penny Black sentiment die...
here's a close up...
Ok...I had so very much fun...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Card Full of Bunks

The new Easter Greetings stamps set by Simon Says Stamp has so many adorable little animals!!  I chose to use the bunny from the set and made a thank you card...thus the title of the post...a mash up..
bunny thanks...bunny + thanks = bunks...
This set is a stand alone stamp set, it has no dies, so I stamped and then hand cut the bunnies and colored them with markers. I LOVE dies, but using scissors is kind of therapeutic, fun, and keeps me really thankful for dies:)!!   I used the Simon Tri Squares die to let the bunnies peek out, and a sentiment from the new Simon Says Stamp set, Big Thanks Words at the bottom window of bunnies. The bunnies' background was made by stamping the new Reverse Polka Background stamp....LOVE!!   The background of the main panel was made with my favorite go to background texture maker,  a piece of burlap with some embossing pads.   Here's a close up...
Every day is fun when you get to make a card!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simply Sweet!

I used the new Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate and Simply Sentiments sets to make some simply done, simply sweet cards...I LOVE these sets!!!!!  The cards are all done the same way...colored with markers and layered, but how cool that the layouts are all different, with different backgrounds and an added touch on a couple...
This first one is for my mom...her favorite flowers are sunflowers, daisies and tulips...DONE!!!💛

The second one, my daughter had the idea to dot the centers of the "sunflowers" and I used the corner with no textured background.

The third one, I used the flowers as a border with a lengthwise card, textured the background, and dotted the centers of the flowers with glossy accents.

The last one I used the row of candles and made a birthday card!  I used a rainbow of colors and my wink of stella pen to give some glitter to the flames...
Ok...seriously...SO...MUCH...FUN!!!!  Stamp, cut, color, card...sweet!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

I chose to create a couple cards with the adorable Oh Bunny stamp/die set!!  This set is so stinkin' cute...
I stamped, die cut, colored and layered the bunnies, adhered them to a piece of cardstock that I had stamped with the new Reverse Polka Dots background stamp.  I die cut and layered the heart from beneath, stamping the cute sentiment on the card panel.  Here's a close up...

The second one, my family of bunnies is sitting in a die cut, layered rectangle...
I used the Reverse Polka Dot stamp again, but this time, I stamped the whole front panel.  I cut the window that the bunnies sat in right through to the inside of the card...
I stamped another of the cute sentiments inside the card, underneath the bunnies...oh...I can't get over how cute these bunnies are!!!  Here's a close up of the inside...

Big Thanks with Flowers

I used the beautiful new Big Thanks from Simon Says Stamp's new release Best Days, to make a thank you card..
(In case you saw a different pic...I retook my picture and changed my background...I'm a bit OCD)
The font on this Thanks die is so beautiful...I love it...it looks so pretty!!!  I die cut it in white, layered it, then adhered it to a layered background.  I used flowers and leaves from the new Blooming Circle die to add some flowers to my thanks...the flowers are pretty...and I love the definition on the leaves!   The flowers are layered...the wreath allows you to layer easily as there are so many flowers!  I cut the stems with my paper cutter.  The sentiment is from the new Big Thanks Words stamp set.  Here's a close up...
Ok...wow...there is simply not enough time in the day to have nearly as much fun as I'd like, but I am having lots of fun when I'm able:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Welcome, Little One

Oh...my...goodness...I'm so in love!!  The new release over at Simon Says Stamp, Best Days, is out TODAY...and it is...AMAZING!!!!  I chose to create with a couple of the new dies along with a background stamp to make a baby card...
I used the new Sweet Elephants and Welcome Little One dies, along with the Reverse Polka Dot background stamp.  I layered the sentiment and background sentiment twice each, as well as the elephants,  and used the Simon Stitched Rectangle die around the outside of the panel.  Here's a close up...
Ok...this was so much fun, and the sentiment and elephants...so super sweet and make for a wonderful baby card!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

The Other Half...

I have been spending time with my amazing family that flew into town, for the last week...I am so blessed!!  I got back into my craft room after my daughter and granddaughter flew home yesterday.  I have a card to share, though, that I had totally forgotten about,  until my daughter decided to take it home with her...
This card is the negative space of this card...
I had made it for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge a couple weeks ago.  I simply layered some black underneath, adhered it to the same embossed background and two cards for the price of one die cut:)!  Here's a close up...
Ok...time to catch up on having fun in my haven!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
