On this first day of March, 2015, I have a few things to give away as my way of saying thank you to you all for being a big part of what makes having my blog so much fun! I have made a couple cards with one of my giveaways...
I have LOVED using the Pinwheel die from Penny Black...couple it with some new, cool papers from Papertrey Ink and made a couple really simple, fun cards!

I would say that I have the most fun with dies, but I don't have nearly enough of them! So, I'll have to say I have the most fun with embossing folders, because I have an overabundance of them, and I love nearly every one. Thanks for the great giveaway. Your blog is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards. I love dies too but also love stencils.
ReplyDeleteI, like you, love making cards with dies. They are my most favorite tool to convey what I want my cards to "say."
ReplyDeleteWhen I make cards, my first go to item is dies. My second is paper. I can design a card and change up the paper and it looks like a totally different card.
ReplyDeleteRecently I've started playing with mixed media so I'd have to say paints and stencils.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa ! I just checked back and saw that my first post was the 3rd of March 2011! So we almost started blogging the same time! I can remember the card of yours that made me started following your blog... It was one you made for Mojo Monday! Can you believe! Well... 742 followers later, and your blog is still one of my favorite stops! Thanks for ALWAYS inspiring me. Hugs to you and happy birthday to I'm in haven!
ReplyDeleteps... I am also a die cut girl ;)
You make such great ideas for cards! I like using paper punches, but am using more and more dies as my budget allows.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, and happy blogging birthday!! :) I love inks and dies. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a cool die.
ReplyDeleteYes, dies are my favourite, but embossing comes a close second, I love popping in to your blog to get inspirations, thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa
ReplyDeleteYour blog is always inspiring and is one of my first visits each day. Your ideas are original and so 'my style'. I started my journey with stamping but now my first love is die cutting.
Thank you
Pat x
Both of these cards are just perfect. Love love the newcardstock/paper from papertrey. The silver dots yum and those flowers. Love flowers, love playing with dies so its a perfect die. My favourite on cards is colouring and by the amount of dies I have and now a silhouette I think they would have to be at the top of the list.
ReplyDeleteBesides dies it is inspiration from blogs such as yours! You are so creative and generous in sharing your ideas!
ReplyDeleteI am also addicted to dies! And some bling always on my cards. Wanted to let you know that I make 4 cards a month and send them to 4 friends or family. Rotating them through the year. I love knowing that they put a smile on their faces! And thanks to you I have gotten A LOT of inspiration for most of my cards. Thank you so very much for sharing with us! Traci E.
ReplyDeleteSuper cards. I am new to card making and I love your blog and clever ideas. I love using dies, i get such a buzz from rolling them through and seeing the cutouts after. It's a great senses of achievement to make a card that pleases someone.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say thank you to you Lisa for always inspiring me with your creations. I especially love your rainbows.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 4 years, Lisa!! I have been following your blog since last year and enjoy your cards very much!!! Always a pleasure visiting here!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, flower dies are my absolute favourite card making tool. If you visit my blog you will see that almost all my cards have a die-cut flower on it!!!! I love my flower dies!!! So you would be able to guess that I would consider giving my two front teeth to have one of your lovely pinwheel dies!!! LOL!!! (at this stage I'm very much bored with the very limited amount of dies I have!!!) And those yummy papers - show me the card maker who would not love to have those!!! Thank you so much for having this give away - such a lovely idea to celebrate your 4 years in Blogland!!!! And may the next 4 years be even better than the past ones and may your blog keep growing and bring you even more pleasure!!!
Oh, and I have to say your two pinwheel cards are fabulous (as all your cards are!!!)
Have a lovely day!!!
In the past I would have definitely said stamps...but now it's dies all the way. I am amassing a good collection of them and love the way they make a card look so professional so easily (which is not always achieved with stamps).
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being a successful blogger for 4 years! My favorite is dies. I like the versatility I have with them. I also love paper and color. Your cards are lovely, as always! Thanks for the chance to win and I wish you many more happy blogging years!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thank you for starting the blog - I find your cards so inspiring. I would have to say that dies and stencils are my faves thee days. However I love my tools too and am looking to expanding this area of my craftroom too.
ReplyDeleteYay, congratulation!!! I love your cards!!! They are always so elegant, and I love the different ways you get your inspirations from :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm crafting since 2013 - time flies! What I like most...mmmhhh difficult to answer... I love to try the different techniques you can use and combine. But mostly I would say I love the coloring at the moment - it is so relaxing!
Wow they are really sweet cards and that die makes an awesome flower - love it. Congrats on your fab blog - I do love to visit and see what you're up to Lisa. Like you my favourite crafting item would be dies. I am so into them atm along with watercolouring I would say. Cheers!

I agree wholeheartedly! My favorite thing to use is dies also! They can bring an instant wow to any card. I especially love the word dies. Thanks so much for your continued inspiration. I love visiting you via my feedly every day.
ReplyDeleteDies always ensure a perfect cut every time. No need to take out big cutting machines... Just straight up fun! Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Lisa......dies! Love, love, love dies. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love my papers and coming up with new ways to show them off when I make my cards. Dies are my second favorite as I hate to fussy-cut anything.
ReplyDeleteStamps. I just LOVE your work. I save about 99% as examples when I am making cards.
ReplyDeleteLisa you are so talented ...I am in awe of your cards, your clean and simple style is so gorgeous! Whenever I am stuck on what to do on a card I come to your blog for inspiration. Thanks for sharing! I would say I am addicted to dies, distress inks and the watercolor look. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute cards!
ReplyDeleteWhile I love using dies - and rarely make a card without them any more, I love to color. It's calming to me. So markers would be my most loved item.
I love my dies, especially the stitched ones! Seems I use them all the time. Thanks so much for all the inspiration you bring us. Love your work!
ReplyDeleteJust love my dies...sold my cricut cuz these were what I wanted....so much easier and so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been into watercoloring lately. Many of the Penney Black stamps are wonderful for this medium.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!! I must use stamps and either distress ink or spectrum noir markers. I cannot make a card without them!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary! Love these card, they are two beatiful CAS. Love the die you used, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
My preferred item in craft are the dies, love dies!!! But they needs cardstock or patterned... I always need patterned papers, I have a little of this, so pheraps it's more correctly I say that my preferred item is paper :)
I just love dies! A lot of time is spent searching the web for them! Your blog is an inspiration for me. Your cards are clean and simple, and so pretty! I have been following blogs for years, and its funny how my favourites have changed over the years. I have to admit, yours is a go to!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Dies are my favorite things. I love combining die cuts with watercolor backgrounds. I love reading your blog, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have a die addiction! Love to use any of my supplies as I have so much!
ReplyDeleteDies have become my favorite things. Now I need to find a way to organize them!
ReplyDeleteI love to color with markers or watercolor pencils and also fussy cut. Guess I am a bit "old school!" (Or maybe just a bit old?!!)
ReplyDeleteLove love love your card. Yes, dies show up on almost every single one of my cards and I make tons of cards. Thanks for a chance to win this one. It looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteI love patterned paper. Not really a tool, I guess, but I rarely make a card without using a lot of it. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like patterned paper and dies--esp. flowers...no messy ink!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are amazing, I love them! My favourite things to work with are dies too. I seem to be obsessed with them. There hasn't been a die yet that I can't see potential in! LOL Thanks for the chance to win one of these paper & die packs. They are gorgeous and I would LOVE to give one of them a good home and some love!
ReplyDelete4 years and so much inspiration! I enjoy your blog every day and I love your cards! These are gorgeous, that little flower is so pretty and that paper sets it off nicely.
ReplyDeleteI use dies for a lot of the classes I teach. I don't know what I'd do without my Cuttlebug!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win a paper and die pack! I am with you in your love for dies. Lately most of my craft money has been spent on dies as I know I will use them and keep them forever.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are fabulous, as always - I so adore your clean style! As for what I love most when making cards....that is tricky. I do love dies, but I do love my stamps as well. What I most enjoy is not so much what I am making the cards with, but when I have an idea about a card and it actually works and results in a card I love! Thanks for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your creations so much! I love heat embossing. Just such fun to watch it emerge. Thanks for the give away and congratulations on your blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your cards, they are always so perfect and inspiring!!! I love my dies too! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI've had to start using dies more often now due to carpal tunnel syndrome and surgery for it that didn't work too well. It's very difficult for me to hold onto stamps so I'm learning how to make great looking cards using dies, thanks to all your wonderful ideas.
ReplyDeleteHelen
Me thinks it's dies and pretty paper. What's not to love ? :-) Congrats on ur blog anniversary, Lisa. Here's to many more years of happy crafting!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
~Varada
I think I'm enjoying most the BigShot a penpal friend passed on to me when she replaced it. I love popping the die-cuts out of their die, and hearing the cracking sound as the sandwich goes thru the die-cutters!
ReplyDeleteLove working with dies and get so much inspiration from your awesome creativity! Thank you so much for sharing your gift with all of us!
ReplyDeleteDies win, hands down!!! Also love patterned paper and bought the PTI you used on your lovely card - I tend to hoard pp tho.

Thank you for always sharing your beautiful creations with us.
Iove working with my computer where I learn //share from and with others. Colleen cdmoore@shaw.ca
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteI love dies and inks. ;-)
Choosing one favorite is very hard so I will give you my top 3; dies, liquid embossing, and working with distress inks to make backgrounds to die cut into flowers and butterflies. Of course, learning new techniques ranks up there pretty high too. Ah, I like it all.
ReplyDeleteI love inks - the colors are unending!
ReplyDeleteI've decided that I'm a dieaholic!!! I want them all and just love to work magic with them. I have purchased dies to excess because I find each one as unique as the next one. I especially like the word dies as they add so much dimension to my cards. Your two cards today are awesome. That Papertrey paper is sooooo pretty. Gotta have some. Thanks for your continued inspiration.
ReplyDeleteMost definitely dies...one can color them, glitter them....do so much with them. I love using them to simlly emboss on paper too.
ReplyDeletewow, tough question! I am primarily a stamper so I probably have to say that stamping is #1 but it seems that I usually use something that I cut with my dies but dies would have to be my second fav......but ALWAYS stamping! Love your blog and the inspiration it brings to my creating; thanks for this opportunity to win such cool goodies.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone have too many dies? I think NOT. Without a doubt dies are the most fun to work with. Many are so versatile and I love being able to use them in different ways. Dies, whether simple or intricate, add so much interest and definitely make a card pop.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations with your blog! I'm with you, Lisa... Punches were my first love and now dies are passing them, there's so many creative ways to use them!
ReplyDeleteThe first has to be playing with papers--solids & patterned--to see what goes best together for the occasion, what pops, what is peaceful. The paper says the most of a card.
ReplyDeleteMY FAVORITE IS WHATEVER I'M PLAYING WITH AT THE TIME! I SO ENJOY YOUR BLOG. YOUR CARDS ARE ALWAYS THE BEST!
