Strawberry Thank Yous and Update

I have been so blessed since my broken knee, to have had friends bring meals to my house every other night for the entire month of June!!  I also had friends who brought me FRUIT...in arrangements, in bowls...wonderful fruit!  I just got the Fruitilicious stamp and die set by Clearly Besotted and made 3 similar but different thank you  cards for some of my friends:)!!...

I die cut the white paper, then stamped on them and layered the strawberries for the first two cards.  I also used the Impression Obsession Cover-a-card Gingham, stamped with versamark for all three cards.    This first one, I dotted an enamel dot on either side of the sentiment.
The second and third cards, I used a Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Rectangles dies for the white panels. I stamped the red cards with the Gingham stamp, but it IS kind of hard to see on these two cards in the pics.  I layered the strawberries on the second card, but inlaid the strawberries on my third card...
Here's a close up...
Had so much fun with these berries...can't wait to use the rest of the fruits:)!!

Update:  Just wanted to let you all know, my knee is doing well!  I saw my doctor about 3 1/2 weeks after my surgery, July 1st...he took my hinged brace off my leg and said I didn't need it any more(he had originally said I would need to keep it on for 6 weeks!)...did not need "therapy", but that I would need to be on a stationary bike(I just bought a portable one on Amazon...had incredible reviews)!  I walked out of that appt wobbly and really uncertain that the doctor had made the right call with me...my brace had become my "security blanket"!  I have lost a lot of my quad muscles, and  am at times, still a bit wobbly, but can tell, I am getting stronger every day!  I will be getting my bike Tuesday and can't wait to get my knee bending, and get rid of all the fluid that continues to collect in that leg!!  I thank you all for your well wishes and emails to me...I am so thankful for how recovery is going, and although it appears that this will be a long process...I am confident my knee will continue to get better:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  2. Lisa! I completely missed the news of the broken knee cap. I went back and saw the x-ray. OUCH!! I'm glad to hear that you are recovering and that you've received lots of help from good friends. I hope your recovery continues and that you are soon back to normal. Oh, the cards, which I drew me here in the first place, are fabulous!!

  3. Love these adorable cards! Fantastic news about your knee! Maybe a cane could be used in the interim to give you a little support until you build up your muscles. Don't want you falling and re-injuring that knee.
