Countdown to Confetti...Day Two!

Today is Reverse Confetti's day two of three in the countdown to the March release at the Reverse Confetti blog!

Today's sneak peek includes a set of stamps, Folded Tag Sentiments, and their coordinating dies, Folded Tag Confetti Cuts.  I LOVED making my tent treats yesterday so much, I stayed in that theme and made two more (with Easter coming, candy is a much loved thing in my family!!), this time using the new fun Folded Tag stamps and dies to complete my treats...

 I wanted to use double-sided patterned paper with these Confetti Cuts, how cool the flower patterns matched the flower stamp and die cut from the new set, The Tweet Life, sneaked yesterday!   The double sided pattern paper is great for this tag die, for when the tag is closed, you see a contrasting pattern, and when open...

 you have a patterned paper on the inside, too:)!!  Here's a side pic of the treats inside...

 The second one ALSO had a five petaled flower pattern...just like the five petaled flower from Tweet life...again...

so I pretty much duplicated the first treat tent, using another of the wonderful tag sentiments for the inside...

I am having so much fun!!  Love seeing how these treat tents are wonderfully completed with the delightful new stamps and dies!!

Countdown to Confetti Day One

I was a guest designer with Reverse Confetti last year, and am honored, thrilled, and so excited to have been asked by Jen del Muro to be a Reverse Confetti, "Fetti Friend" again,  for the months of March and April!!  Thank you so much for the opportunity to showcase your wonderful stamps and dies, Jen!!

March means new release!!  There are 5 new stamp sets, 7 new Confetti Cuts and a set of Spring panel papers that are so sweet, in this new release!!  I will be sneaking stamps, dies and those papers from Reverse Confetti's March release for the next 3 days, before it's official release  on March 8th... and let me tell you, this March release is AMAZING!!!  Let's just say, Spring and Sunshine are in the air...I am in love...know you will be, too:)!!  The two new sets being sneak peeked today are The Tweet Life and More than Jellybeans!   I have used a stamp from each set to make my first card:)!...

 The bunny stamps in this stamp set have adorable sentiments on them...I stamped the bunny in the traditional brown and die cut with it's coordinating die... coupled with a flower stamp from the Tweet Life stamp set, which were stamped on a die cut Sweet Treat Tent also by Reverse Confetti.  The heart cut from the tent's center is also by Reverse Confetti from the Love Note die set.  I filled a cellophane bag with my favorite jellybeans, Cappuccino...so perfect that they were brown with specks of white and went perfectly with the bunny and the flowers!!

The second one is like the first, using the other bunny stamp from the More than Jellybeans set...

I DID die cut the Sweet Treat Tent a bit longer than the actual die, and scored the fold lines a bit wider  on the bottom to make the tent fit a cute chocolate bunny my daughter bought me for this project...had to give this big guy a bigger home:)...

In LOVE...what cute little treats for friends!!...and these bunny stamps are PERFECT for cute treats!!!

A "Manly" Thank You

I had my final appointment with my knee surgeon yesterday!! Today is exactly 9 months since I fell and broke my knee cap...seems like yesterday!  I am pretty much back to normal...lots of stationary biking, and now my elliptical, too, my quad muscle has come back, which is a huge thing in recovery of knee surgery.  My doctor was such an encouragement to me, what a blessing it was to have been given him as my assigned doctor in the emergency room that day in June, I made a card to thank him for all he did and said to give me and my knee our healing!!!  A hard card to photograph, it's silver paper with a stenciled, black embossing pasted border...

 The paper is from Michael's, the black paint is  Craft Smart acrylic, mixed with translucent paste.  Here's a close up...

Pinwheel Giveaways!

I started my blog on the last day in March of 2011, as a way to share my love of card making with others...and it has been and continues to be SO MUCH FUN!!  On this first day of March, 2015,   I have a few things to give away as my way of saying thank you to you all for being a big part of what makes having my blog so much fun!  I have made a couple cards with one of my giveaways...
