Blooming Wave...the Long and Short of It!

I used the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Blooming Wave die to make a few cards!  This border die is soooo pretty...it needs nothing besides a sentiment!!  On the first one, I used the die as is, and made a card with the full border...
Below, I show you how I made the card with a part of the border die...I did the same for this first card.  I layered each of rhe flowers 3 times, the leaves twice.  I added some white Tonic Crystal drops in various sizes throughout the border.  I stamped a sentiment from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set with versamark and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
I then took and shortened the border, using only the middle section...
This is how I did it.  I die cut the border, then cut it into a strip, lightly adhered it to the card and used it as a template to place and adhere the flowers and leaves...
I layered these as well and used a smaller sentiment, from Bouquet of Thanks stamp set.  Here's a close up...
The third one, I did the same as the second one, this time on black, with a rainbow of flowers( you know me and rainbows!!)...
I used some green Tonic Crystal drops for this border, and I used the new My Favorite Things striped paper for the bottom of this last card( you ALSO KNOW I LOVE striped strips!!!!)...this was so much fun!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  5. Very effective cards....and the die is so cute! BUT, what a lot of work stacking all those little tiny pieces and then adhering them correctly! One looks at the cards and sees "simple" ....it's anything BUT simple!

  9. Lovely cards, Lisa. I think I'm partial to the white flowers on kraft. I love the strip of black and white striped paper at the bottom of the rainbow version. I knew you would like the My Favorite Things black and white striped paper pad! As always, love your CAS designs.
