Plush Daisy AND Plush Sunflower!

I have been having SO MUCH FUN with the new Simon Says Stamp Plush dies!!  They are kind of like the new adult coloring books...stitching these die cuts is so much fun, but so relaxing and fulfilling, too!!  I used the Plush Daisy die, and made a stitched daisy AND a sunflower!  I put them on cards, although they both have a little something special to give them more purpose than to simply be on their cards...
The daisy simply die cut and stitched...using a yellow felt middle and sentiments from the Simon Happy and Smile stamp set.  Both cards are 5" squares.

The sunflower took twice as much felt, floss, and twice as much time to sew, but I think it's so cute, and so worth all the extras:)!!...
The cool thing about making this one a possibility is the die itself.  The die for the daisy's center only has one row of stitch holes.  BUT, if you notice the actual daisy die, the daisy has a whole bunch of rows of holes throughout the middle.  SO...I used a piece of brown felt, die cut it in the center of the daisy die, then hand cut it to a circle, following the largest row of stitch holes, as my guide.
Thought it SO cool, that doing this gives the sunflower the actual look that a sunflower would have with all the seeds in the center.

THEN...for the surprise!  I hot glued a 1" magnet to the back of each flower, to make then into pretty magnets for, in this instance, a refrigerator(this was photographed at night)!  I am sending the sunflower to my daughter, Hannah...sunflowers were the flowers at her wedding 5+ years ago...and when I told her my idea to magnetize the flower, she LOVED that idea (kind of keeps a piece of me with her always, as she is 600 miles away:(!).  I also attached a hanging string to the back of the sunflower(before I thought of the magnets), so you could hang it, too:)!!
OK...SO MUCH FUN...going to have a couple more to show you, soon...having such a ball!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop!

Reverse Confetti is celebrating Spring, today, with a Spring Fling Blog Hop...
I start seeing butterflies in Spring...so I used butterflies in my Spring Fling Project:)!

I made a card with the pretty Reverse Confetti Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts dies.  I die cut the five butterflies from the white cardstock, and adhered colored paper underneath those die cuts, popping up the white panel over those colors and a striped strip on the side of the panel.  I used my scoreboard to score a line down the middles of each butterfly.  I then used pop up squares on those center lines, to pop up the butterflies over the colored sections...only exposing a small piece of each color.  I also used the Happy and the Hello from the Whole Lotta Happy stamp set.  Here's a close up...
Here's a list of the products I used on my cards...

Here's a list of all the Hop participants...the hop starts at the Reverse Confetti blog, and you can go there if you should encounter any broken links!  There will be a prize for one lucky commenter...you can find all the details on the Reverse Confetti blog, below, as well!  Hope you'll join in the fun of hopping along and be Spring inspired!!

Extending the Hearts

OK...one more die cut thanks...I just can't stop, I'm having so much fun!!  Today, I used a new Reverse Confetti die...
I used the new Reverse Confetti Double Panel Hearts Confetti Cuts die along with a sentiment fromt  the Reverse Confetti Fancy Words Confetti Cuts dies.  I made another card with this die that I made die cutting it as it was designed.  This card, I extended the die by cutting it part way from one side, then turning the paper, pulling the die down a little bit on the paper, and cutting from the OTHER side...HERE'S a video by Kristina Werner showing you what I mean:):).  I put strips of colored paper together then die cut.  Here's a close up...
As an after thought, but cool for you to see to get perspective, here's a pic with a panel like the one on the card (I made 3), with the back panel of one simply die cut as is...I think it's a sweet thing when you can get a totally different length and look from the same die!!...
Here's a list of the Reverse Confetti cut dies I used on my card
Oh, dies are SO MUCH FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Another Die Cut Flower Thanks

Yes, another die cut card...no stamps were used in the making of this card...ahhh...amazing to me what can be created simply with paper and dies:)!...
I used the My Favorite Things Stitched Cover Up Companion Vertical Die-namics die...layered three times.  Used the  My Favorite Things Upsy Daisy Die-manics dies and the Reverse Confetti Fancy Words Confetti Cuts thanks die.  The paper is Heidi Swapp that I purchased from AC Moore.    Here's a close up...

I die cut and layered the daisy twice and the thanks 3 times.  I also used an edge die from My Favorite Things for the unique cut in the gingham paper.  Here's a close up of the card..

Plush Bunnies

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Plush Springtime Bunny (this bunny is SO stinkin cute!) to make a couple adorable felt bunnies...
I die cut the bunny, flowers and leaves, then sewed the bunny together.  I stitched the flowers with floss, an adhered the flowers, leaves and middle ear with a hot glue gun.  I stuffed with some batting.    Here's a close up...
I also made a white bunny with purple flowers...
And before you question this cutie's tail...I know it's a swirly flower, but I chose to use it as a tail when I couldn't find a pom pom ball in the craft store that I liked, so...despite the swirl, I thought it looked just fine as a tail:)!!
I wanted to give you a size reference...this is an A2 card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")

Oh...SO MUCH FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Reverse Confetti March Release Blog Hop

Reverse Confetti is celebrating their March release, today, with a Blog Hop!!  The four new sets of stamps, six new Confetti Cuts dies and the new Quick Card Panels, are now available at the Reverse Confetti Store...
I used the new Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts dies for my daisy, frame, and background.  The sentiment is from the new Rose Garden stamp set.  I used a piece of yellow gingham patterned paper for my main panel and combined it with a kraft die cut circle background, green stem and leaves for my pretty layered daisy.  This frame is so cool with the zig zag pattern and love the pierced circle that these dies make...sweet!!  Here's a close up...

The second card uses the sweet new Double Panel Hearts Confetti Cuts dies, and sentiment stamps from the  Whole Lotta Happy stamp set.  I die cut the Heart panels and layered a couple times.  I used different colored paint chips behind the die cut hearts and adhered the whole thing onto a cut card panel with a stamped sentiment...
Here's a close up of the hearts...
Here's a list of all the new stamps and dies I used on today's cards...

Here's a list of everyone in the hop, today...it starts at the Reverse Confetti Blog...hope you'll join in the fun and hop along with us...inspiration galore!!...
