Three Layered Snowflakes

I LOVE Reverse Confetti's  Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts dies!!  The versatility of this set is wonderful...you can make layered snowflakes as simple, or as intricate as you choose.  These dies make for some really pretty snowflakes...I have opted to make my snowflakes into ornaments that I will give as gifts!  I have made three...all with the same colors, so you can see how different they can look...I have had so much fun...the possibilities are only limited by your imagination (the diagrams on the Reverse Confetti site are SO helpful, too:)!!)!  Here they are...

         

I layered the kraft base on all three, as well as the hearts and green and white center pieces.  I did paper pierce all the flakes...

I did hand write this on the back of the ornaments, too...

One More Heart of Roses...For My Dad!

I told you that the trio of cards using the Simon Says Stamp Heart of Roses die, the other day, would not be the last. Well, I had some more white die cut hearts on my desk, when I thought of my dad!  My dad LOVES the color yellow AND roses,  I give him yellow roses on Father's day. AND...although this heart is wonderfully feminine and romantic,  I thought...hey...why can't we make a "guy" card with this die??  Answer: WE CAN!!  I added some gray and white striped paper to the background with my favorite little Rubber Soul "dad" stamp, and...

Along with the die cut hearts, I also had some watercolor paper on my desk, so I die cut the heart from the watercolor paper, removed the pieces that were not flowers or leaves, and used my Peerless watercolor paints to color them:)!!  I adhered them under two white die cut hearts.  Here's a close up...

I know this card is very much like those of a couple days ago, but I have now used paper with markers, acetate with markers, and watercolor paper with paints for the the flowers and leaves...same layout, different mediums, colors, and overall look:)!!

Heart of Roses...Three Ways!

The new Simon Says Stamp Heart of Roses die is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!  It is a heart filled with pretty roses, I LOVE IT...and I made three cards to show you today!!  This first one I die cut from white cardstock and removed all the pieces that were not flowers or leaves.  I colored the flowers with two shades of pink and leaves with green markers, then layered 3 plain white die cuts with ALL the pieces removed over the colored heart...

I popped up the layered heart on the card, using a Simon Says Stamp sentiment to finish the card.  Here's a close up of the heart...

 Love how it looked popped up on the card, giving it real depth...

 The second and third ones, I adhered acetate to a layered heart and colored the back of the acetate with markers.  I adhered the heart to the stitched panel, and popped up the panel on a white card, the first a 4 1/4" square...

 Here's a close up...wanted you to see the shiny from the acetate...

The third one,  and the second on acetate, I colored the acetate with red and a darker shade of green, and used a rectangular stitched die.  I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  A less curvy sentiment just seemed to go better with all the curves of the heart...

 Again, the shine of the acetate...

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop!

There's a special Decenber Blog Hop over at the Reverse Confetti Blog today!!  It's a blog hop to celebrate the new and the old...each Confetti Crew design team member has a new project to share with you, as well as sharing three of our personal favorite projects from this past year!

I wanted to use the cute, fun, Frosted PillowBox for my project, and made two boxes...one for Christmas and one for a birthday!  The first one also uses the Wreaths Confetti Cuts  and Winter Words Confetti Cuts dies.  I die cut the wreath in red and then again in pink, removing all the pieces from the pink, so the red would show through.  I layered the "merry" and adhered the wreath and sentiment to a strip of one of the Quick Card Panels.  Here's a close up...

Tbe second one, I used the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts die, combined with part of a sentiment from the Circle Sentiments stamp set with the coordinating Scalloped Circle Confetti Cuts die.  I once again, used a strip of a Quick Card Panel to adhere my Scalloped Circle and sentiments to...and now we have a birthday pillow box...PERFECT for a sweet gift card (my favorite thing to give:)!!)!

CAS(E) this Sketch #150...Merry Little Christmas

A Two week challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch and I'm in at the last second!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

Talk about clean and simple...just pulled this stamp by Stampotique out of my Christmas box and figured that 3 little hearts were PERFECT with the sentiment AND this sketch!!  Here's a close up...

Change the Paper, Change the Look!

The new Thanks Scallop Border die from Simon Says Stamp's latest From All of Us release is so cute and makes some sweet cards...simple and easy...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! This die could be used in combination with other elements, but I initially thought of it as a stand-alone die!!   I think it is so cool how simply changing the cardstock used with a die like this one, can TOTALLY change the look.  The first of three I made using a rainbow of solid pieces of cardstock, die cutting the border and stacked on top of one another.

The second one, I die cut the border from a patterned piece of paper, and used a solid piece of cardstock under/below...

and a close up...

The third one, I used a piece of white cardstock, with a piece of pink beneath and striped black and white under/below the scallops...

Layered twice.  Oh how I love simplicity!!  Here's a close up...
