I made two cards with another die set from the new Holiday Release from Simon Says Stamp, Layered Tree and Christmas stamp set of wonderful sentiments. I made one tree with traditional Christmas colors, the other...not:)!!
This tree is SO ADORABLE...I LOVE IT...I loved it best, simply by itself!!! I die cut the tree in dark brown and green and used 2 extra die cut layers underneath each piece...hey...a Layered Tree die should be layered, right? (I just LOVE LAYERS!) I used some glossy Accents over the red ornaments. All the papers were textured...thought that was cool with the simplicity of the tree and card. I added some tiny pop up dots underneath the sides of each branch and the star...not necessary, but thought it looked cooler that way!
The second one, I went with totally untraditional colors. The paper wasn't textured, and I wanted some, so I used a piece of burlap I had sitting in my scrap bowl, and embossed the pieces against the burlap with my embossing pads...gave them a very cool texture!! I used Doodlebug and Basic Grey dots for adornment! Oh my...TOO MUCH FUN...love this die!!! Thanks for visiting me today!!
