Floral Sparkle...Two Ways!

I used the pretty Simon Says Stamp Floral Sparkle die to make a couple cards!  The first one I combined the Floral Sparkle die with the Floral Burst Collage die...

I thought the Floral Burst Collage flower mimicked the flowers on the Floral Sparkle die, so I added a flower and then a sentiment from my much loved Thoughtful Messages set.  I layered the border die a couple times UNDERNEATH for some depth and added a striped panel underneath the panel.  OK...FUN...RECYCLE moment!!  I had purchased a small gift card for someone who watched noah for me, and this is the gift card holder...

Well...I opted not to use the holder, so it was just sitting on my desk.  I thought...hmmm...I like those cool little stripes on the top and bottom of the paper!!!  Cut in 1/2, it became two perfect card panels....now how cool is that????!!!!  So I cut it in 1/2 and used one on the bottom of the layered panel of Floral Sparkle borders...

The second card was made using some of the leftover die cuts(but made before I had the thought of the striped paper and this pic, or I would have used it!)...

I embossed the Sparkle die on a  piece of cadstock, and used my Memento Markers to color the embossed flowers and leaves.  You can be messy...what fun...

...cause in the end...you can't see the mess...

With Love

I couldn't resist making a card with hearts, using the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Floral Burst Collage die...yes, a flower die...but the petals of each die cut flower are actually HEARTS!!...

I layered each petal/heart twice, and arranged the small and medium in a row across the card, using only one of the large hearts for the focus of the card.  I adhered a die cut red petal/heart to the large heart and glossy accented it after adhering it to the card.  I LOVE the sentiments in the beautiful new stamp set, Bouquet of Thanks!!  Here's  a close up of the hearts and sentiment...

Flowers in Squares

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Floral Burst Collage die along with their Tri Square die to make a thank you card...

I EDITED my card and added some enamel dots...I like it better with the dots!!  The original is below...

I die cut and layered the medium sized flowers from the die, and adhered them randomly on black cardstock, behind three die cut squares, made SUPER easy with the Simon Says Stamp Tri Square die.   I used a Papertrey Ink senitment stamp stamped vertically and dotted with two tiny black dots for some interest.  Here's a close up...

A Simple Sunflower Birthday

If you've seen a few of my flower posts this last week, you might have noticed a few repetitive elements...well, I have noticed:)!!  I am in LOVE with MFT Stitched Flowers, and PTI Impression Plates and Keep it Simple sentiment stamps!!!!  Today is yet another in this continuing series of fun flower cards...

I had die cut a bunch of the stitched flowers and had them on my desk with another idea in mind, when I thought of a sunflower...they are a much loved flower in my family.  Well...I pushed the multitude of flowers aside to use a couple of the flowers to make a sunflower!  I layered the flower three layers thick for each of the two flower pieces, and three layers for the middle.  Each leaf is two layers thick.  I used the other side of the PTI impression plate that I used for my trio of flower birthday card last week...Guide Line Grid, and another of the Keep it Simple Birthday sentiments.  Here's a close up...

Two Different Scalloped Thanks

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Three Sided Scallop die to make a four sided scalloped card...

I thought it would be cool to extend this die and make the scallop go around all four sides.  I used some of my pretty flowered paper that I recently purchased at AC Moore, for the mission:)!  I used a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of the cardstock, and die cut the die placed at the very end of the paper, with the acrylic plate over "most" of the die.  Once through, I turned the cardstock so that the opposite end was facing my Big Shot.  I lined the die over the already die cut part, and again, die cut with the acrylic plate over "most" of the die.  What you get, is a 5 scallops x 4 scallops die cut panel.  What is cool about this die is that it has a rim around the center die cut scallops.  SO...I die cut the same way a couple more times with white cardstock, but only used the rim and layered the rim a total of three times, so the outer rim was raised.  I then embossed a card, and cut out the scallops with a pair of scissors, to adhere the die cut panel to.  Here's a pic of this... 

I used the new Simon Script Thanks die for my sentiment...using a blue textured cardstock for the sentiment to match the flowers in the cardl.  Here's a close up of that and the scallop rim...

The second one, I used the same paper, same sentiment die, but a Simon Wavy Scalloped Stitches die.    You can never have too many thank you cards, and althought pretty similiar, wanted to show you yet another way to use scallops with the same sentiment die:)...

I popped up te flowered panel over the beige cardstock panel.  Here's a close up...

Another Trio of Flowers...Feel Better Soon

Today's card uses up a lot of leftovers.  The flowers are leftovers from yesterday's card.  The frames are scraps that have been sitting in my folder filled with white scraps SO LONG, that I could not remember WHAT DIE I USED FOR THE FRAME!! ...

 Hmmmm...a scalloped, stitched frame...and layered( I KNEW that it HAD to come that way to have layered it)??  Well, after MUCH searching, I found it.... a W PLUS 9 frame die in a set with sunshine and clouds...but what's SO COOL is having scraps, that, even though so old, and been hanging around  so long, finally find a use on a card!!   Doesn't help with my tendency to hoard scraps...as with evidence of this card, hoarding scraps isn't a bad thing:):)!!  I used paint chips for the flowers, and had them match the flowered paper that I had purchased at AC Moore and used as the background for the flowers...I thought this paper was SO PRETTY!!  I layered the flowers, and used a dark brown paint chip for the stems and leaves...a little unconventional, but matched the leaves on the background paper.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, stamped with versamark on vellum and white embossed.
