Tall Pointsettia

I used the very pretty Simon Says Stamp Tall Pointsettia die, from their Festive Fun release, to make a card just for the love of it...

Very simply done, I die cut the pointsettia from white cardstock, and brushed on ink.  I bent the petals and leaves a bit for some dimension, and adhered to a card with a sentiment stamped (that I LOVE), and a layered frame.  Here's a close up...

Pointsettia Swag

I have made a Christmas card with a Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set from their Festive Fun Release!

I stamped, die cut, then colored the poinsettia flower and berries.  I added some yellow Tonic yellow drops in the center of flower, then popped it up on a card that had a stamped sentiment  and a thin layered frame.  Here's a close up...

Snowflake Ornament Card

I have made a Christmas card with a pretty die from Simon Says Stamp's Festive Fun release!...

I layered the snowflake with four layers of white cardstock.  I layered two of them back to back, then the last two layers back to back as well.  My intent was to make the snowflake an ornament to hang on the tree.  I added some silver thread, and adhered it to a striped card stocked panel.  I added a layered sentiment  and done!  Here's a close up...

I hope you are not too stressed, for those of you in the states, getting ready for Thanksgiving!  I have two of my wonderful sisters and their significant others here for the holiday, and it will be fun!  Family is chaos, but wonderful chaos!!

Rainbow of Mushrooms

I have made a card using a cute die from the Simon Says Stamp Festive Fun release...

I die cut all the cute mushrooms from white cardstock, and colored the stems and backside of the mushrooms with a tan ink.  I die cut the top of the mushrooms with colored cardstock and dotted the colored mushrooms with a gel pen.  I used a  Simon sentiment stamp that I thought went perfectly with the colored mushrooms!  I used the card panel to make a border for the mushrooms.  Here's a close up...

Christmas Star

I have made a Christmas card with a pretty Simon Says Stamp die, from their Festive Fun release!...

I die cut the arched star four times from white cardstock.  I layered the first two after placing adhesive all over the bottom layer, and attaching the second layer(minus all the pieces) on top of the first layer.  I die cut the die from three shades of yellow, and two shades of brown.  I placed the pieces into their spaces( the adhesive was already on the first layer.  I then adhered the last two layers together, then adhered to the first two.  I die cut an arch from another Simon die onto the top panel of the card.   I had added a sentiment just below the arch, from a stamp set also from this release, and popped up the panel onto the card. I then positioned and adhered the star die cut into the window.  Here's a close up...

Gingermas House

I have used a cute new little Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set, from the Simon's Festive Fun release, to make a Christmas card...

I used the stamp and the die for this set, stamping and die cutting the gingerbread house.  I colored with markers, then dotted the tiny white circles around the top rainbow window, and around the door and window, with Glossy Accents, and the snow on the roof and chimney with Enamel Accents.  I had SUCH fun with this card!  I am not a "colorer", but I gave the coloring a try and it was fun!!  I popped the card up over a die cut hill and an embossed snowfilled background.  Here's a closeup...

Fesive Fun Blog Hop~Day 1!

I am thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp's Blog Hop over at the Simon Blog, celebrating their newest release, Festive Fun!  This new release is the perfect way to begin getting ready for the holidays and season that is quicky coming up!  I have chosen two of the new dies, a CZ Design sentiment die,  and an embossing folder, to make two Christmas cards!

I die cut the leaves and berries from white cardstock.  I colored the leaves by brushing on different colors of green until I got the color of leaves I liked.  I used the dies from the set, for the berries, and die cut them in red.  I used Glossy Accents to dot the leaves with shine.  I die cut the sentiment from gold cardstock and layered.  Here's a close up...

The second card, I used another of the beautiful leaves and berries type die set, and used the same sentiment...

This Abundant Leaf die is a card covering size die, but looking at it covering a card, I liked the idea of it being a "part" of the card, not the whole card.  So...I opted to make my card a 5x7 and pop up and adhere the whole die cut panel on a larger card, then have the sentiment below it.  Here's a close up...

Okay...I had SO much fun with these two cards!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Festive Fun Release

I have made a card with a new Simon Says Stamp stamp/die set, from their new Festive Fun release!...

I used the Stained Glass Christmas stamp/die set and a piece of vellum.  I stamped the vellum with black ink and clear embossed.  I colored the vellum from the back, then used the die to cut a window in the card panel.  I popped up the panel over the colored window and a black glossy  card panel[ol, after adding a black stamped and clear embossed sentiment.  Here's a close up...
