Birthday Wishes

I made this with a few leftover birthday die cut sentiments from cards I made for my mom's music group...coupled with some flowers I stamped, embossed, colored and cut out from a Simon Says Stamp set called Petal Pieces...
I embossed the card with Diagonal Striped impression plate from Papertrey Ink (I couldn't make a link for it).  I used Glossy Accents on the "birthday".  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Just Two More Hexagons...I Promise!!

Ok...this Simon Says Stamp die is just too much fun...but just two more cards and then the die goes back in it's sleeve...but for how long I'm not saying:)!!..
You know me and rainbows..couldn't resist...and did them on the diagonal.  Added a Simon Says Stamp sentiment from Inside and Out Sayings on a strip of vellum and clear embossed...
This on is more flowers...different colors(left overs from the other cards) with black centers.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and done the same way as the first card, the sentiment cut apart and stamped side by side  For those of you in the states...Hope you are having a fantastic Father's Day!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Hexagon Hello

Having more fun with the Simon Says Stamp Summer Release Full Card Hexagons die!!  Design with this die is so much fun...but I must admit, I love the flower possibilities...
The cool thing is that you can keep all the die cut hexagons from each card and use them on the next one...all the white ones are from yesterday's card.  I still have a couple more that I will share with you tomorrow:):)!!  The "hello" is from the Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banner Sayings stamp set.  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Inspired by Ice Cream Parlor Tiles...

Wow...over a week since I last said hello...finally feeling like life is coming back to "normal"...yay!!!...
I was watching HGTV(Home and Garden TV) the other day, the  designer on the show I was watching redid a couple's bathroom.  She used white hexagon tiles on the floor, mixed with some black ones in the shape of a flower...they called the tile and I think the design "Ice Cream Parlor tiles".  I used the new Simon Says Stamp Full Card Hexagons with some white, black and bright pink paper to mimick the tiles I saw (except they filled the middles with white)...
FUN!!  Used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Petal Pieces.  I will have a couple more to show you tomorrow that I made with the same die:):)...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A TOTAL Jennifer McGuire Case!!

My eye sight is on the mend...thanks so much for your kind words and concern:)!!
Did you ever see a card that you LOVE so much that you just have to make a card EXACTLY like it????  Well, having just taken the His/Hers Online Card class recently, the uber talented Jennifer McGuire (I LOVE her work!!!) made one of thost cards for me, so this card is a TOTAL CASE of one of her beauties...can't give you a link or show you things from the class, but this is pretty closely exactly like hers!!...
I LOVED the way she made this flower, the colors, the sentiment...well....EVERYTHING about it!!!  It was made by her as a "guy/his" card, but I actually gave this to my mom for her birthday!  I know the colors are dark, but I think it is SO PRETTY!!  Made with a leaf from a Paper Smooches set, the sentiment from Avery Elle, and the bacground script from Impression Obsession.  Super simple, but fun!  Stamp the 8 white petals then the blue and green.  Stamp the sentiment with versa mark and white emboss on vellum, and stamp the script over the finished flower...just love this!!  Jennifer had put her panel on a different colored card, but I kept mine on the same soft suede.
Thanks for visiting me today...hope you have a wonderful week:)!!!!

Mom's Music Group 2013

My mom is the "Sunshine Committee" for her music group.  She sends them cards for birthdays and such.  I have made the birthday cards for the last two years...this is year number three...she keeps getting reelected!  She wants cards with a music theme...but frankly...I've not found a lot of musical themed stamps.  I DID find a cool musical script border at Clearly Besotted, combined with a Papertrey die stamp/die and My Favorite Things flower dies...came up with these simple but musical cards in 5 colors...

I die cut the "birthday", layered and put glossy accents on it.  The flowers are also layered(with light chipboard) and the centers are glossy accented, as well.  The centers were from a My Favorite Daisy die.   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
