Smile in a Circle...Two Ways

I love the Simon Says Stamp Smile in a Circle die...so much fun!!  I made a couple cards to share with you...
I, once again, as I have with the last couple cards, swiped the new Simon Says Stamp ink pads on some white cardstock scraps and die cut in 3 different colors.  I layered each on two more white layers and adhered level to the back, to the white card panel, so they are popped off the card just a bit.  I added a layered tiny heart to dot the "i" in "smile" of each color, to go with the sentiment I chose from another of a newer set of stamps from Simon Says Stamp...
I stamped a striped strip on the bottom of the card, before popping up the panel on the card.  The striped bottom helps break up the card...and hey...that striped strip is pretty hot right now:)!!  Here's a sideways view of my card...
The second card I decided to show you the close up first, so you could see the sentiment up close...
 Then the card...

Freshly Made Sketches 200!!

Freshly Made Sketches is celebrating their 200th sketch this week!! How cool is it to get to the TWO HUNDRETH CHALLENGE??!!   Reverse Confetti is sponsoring this week's celebratory challenge, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to be a part of the party:)!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

What a wonderfully simple sketch!!  I chose to use two different patterned papers for my two panels, covered them with a piece of vellum to actually tone down their bold color and make it possible to show-off the sentiment, a wonderful sentiment from Reverse Confetti, and finished with red ribbon to seamlessly combine the two panels together!   Here's a close up of the top and bottom panels...

Hope you will join the festivities of this special sketch, you can find all the details of this challenge on the Freshly Made Sketches blog:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Hand Colored Paper Hello

I LOVE the new colored inks that Simon Says Stamp has come out with in their latest couple releases...they are SO pretty!!  SO...I swiped five of those ink pads on some scrap Bazzill paper I had in my white scrap pile, and with a new Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scallop Stitches die, made a colorful "Hello" card...
The "hello" is a new sentiment die from Simon, as well.  I die cut the "hello" three times and layered the sentiment.  I used the middle sized scallop die for my wavy strips, turning the die to either make the scallop or the negative of the scallop to make the pieces fit together.   LOVED the texture of the Bazzill paper, and how cool is it that you can MAKE COLORED paper with the swipe of an ink pad:)??!!  AND...these colors are SO BEAUTIFULLY INTENSE...I LOVE THEM!!!Here's a close up...
OK...THIS WAS SUCH FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 136...You Make Me Smile

Some sketches I have to think about for a bit, others I have an idea right away.  The sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch is so sweet and simple, I KNEW right away what I wanted to make, and made not one, but two cards for the challenge (I'm entering the first:)!)!  Here's my first card and the sketch...

This sketch was just screaming a die cut border to me.  I saw the lines of the strip across the sketch and pulled out my Simon Says Stamp Air Vent die for my first card.  I used some of the newest and some of the newer colored inks from Simon to fill in my stripes of the vent...these new colors are SO PRETTY!!  I did this by swiping the ink on white card stock, making "colored paper", and then die cutting on that swiped colored paper.  I adhered double sided tape to the back of the vent die cut,  to adhere the little colored strips to the vent.   I popped up an upper and lower panel over the vent after stamping a sentiment on the upper panel from the cool Simon set, Happy and Smile, hiding the ends of the stripes of the die under the top and bottom panels...

Oh, I was on a roll with this idea, so... I used another Simon die and the same Simon colors with another sentiment from the same sentiment stamp set...
This border was a bit more of a challenge due to all those little squares, but what fun and how relaxing that tedious work can be!!
I am so thankful for a craft that brings me so much happiness...how 'bout you?  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Heart in a Rainbow and a Summer Sale!

I have made a card using some of my favorite products from Reverse Confetti's latest release to help announce the wonderful three day SUMMER SALE at Reverse Confetti!!  NOW is the time to stock up on   all those Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts dies that you've had on your wish lists:)!!...
Use the code you find above, to receive 20% OFF your ENTIRE ORDER...but only today and tomorrow, so don't wait!!  Make sure you check out the Reverse Confetti Blog for daily inspiration during this sale:)!!

I used the My World stamp set and the Globe Confetti Cuts heart portion of the die for my card.  I also added a layered "xoxo" in the middle of the heart, made with a die from one of my very favorite set of sentiment dies, Fancy Words Confetti Cuts.  I hung the inlaid heart from the die cut circular center, with a piece of silver thread...

Having used the newer Reverse Confetti products, I couldn't resist using something older from my Reverse Confetti stash to create with, so I  made a tote for a baby gift card with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts die, along with the Folded Tag Confetti Cuts die  and the "baby" die from the  same set of sentiment dies as I used above...
I wrote a little note on the inside...
You'll want to check out the other Confetti Crew members who've also created projects today on their blogs, for this special sale:
