CAS(E) this Sketch...Happy Birthday Handsome

I am so thrilled and honored to be a guest designer this week over at CAS(E) this Sketch!!  Thank you so much, Chrissy for the invitation...I love CAS(E) this Sketch!!
I made a birthday card for this week's sketch challenge with a Simon sentiment die, a Hero Arts sentiment stamp, and some paint chip strips!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used the Impression Obsession Cover a Card- Birthday Words for the background.  I stamped that in Simon Fog ink, through a torn piece of paper that served as a mask.  I used strips of paint chips, adhered to a thin piece of cardstock for my "Happy Birthday", then die cut and layered. This Simon Painted Happy Birthday die is one of my favorite...great for gal AND guy cards!!   I added a piece of a Hero Arts sentiment stamp to go under my die cut sentiment, and then some enamel dots to make it a little more fun.  Here's a close up...
Hope you will have just as much fun as I did with this week's sketch!  For more inspiration, make sure to check out the CAS(E) this Sketch! blog to see how the design team interpreted and created with the sketch!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday, Noah!

We are celebrating my amazing Noah's 21st birthday today...my "baby" is TWENTY-ONE!!  He IS my rainbow boy...hey, he IS NOAH, after all, so I HAD to make a card with a rainbow!!...
The "Happy" and "st" are from Papertrey Ink, the "21" is My Favorite Things.  I used 3/4" pieces of patterned paper adhered together, then everything was die cut together.  I layered all the pieces and adhered to black cardstock panel.  I also stamped a Happy Birthday background with a stamp from Impression Obsession, stamped with versamark and clear embossed.  Here's a close up...
I love my boy...he brings such incredible joy to my life!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Fall Leaves Thinking of You

I traveled back to Virginia from Florida yesterday, and I got in late last night!  I had a bunch of new goodies waiting for me when I got home😊...and I hope to get in my craft room this morning, but I have one more card to share with you that I made with my leftover watercolor leaves from THIS card and THIS card...
I coupled the leaves together with a very old rubber stamp sentiment from Stampa Rosa(the date on the side said 1999!)...I just thought the wispiness and flow of the font went so perfectly with the leaves!!  Maybe there are some of you, like me, that have drawers of old rubber stamps that are just dieing for some "love"...check out your old stamps next time you're creating to see if you have an old stamp that would just go perfectly with what you're creating:)!!  Here's a close up of my leaves...
OK...time to go a little unpacking, then it's off to my "happy place", my craft room, to get creatin'....can't wait!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 186...Fall Leaves Thanks

There's a new sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  Here's my card and this week's sketch...
(I edited my card and moved my leaves a little lower to go a bit better with the sketch.)

Feeling in a "Fall" mood today...even though the heat index is in triple digits here in Virginia...ugh.  I used watercolor paper, watercolors, and Impression Obsession die, to make my leaves.  I colored the paper, then die cut.  I do think this is a first in maybe forever, or at least in a LONG time...I DIDN'T LAYER THE LEAVES!!  Watercolor paper is pretty thick anyway, but I thought they looked more like delicate leaves with single layers.  I added Lawn Fawn's Stitched borders(all of them still attached to one another)on an angle for the bottom of the card.  The sentiments are by Altenew.  Here's a close up...
I just can't get enough of these sketches, of late...SUCH FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

**EDITED**
Thank you so much, ladies, for the recognition of my card as a FAVORITE for this week's challenge...

...you made MY week!!!

CAS(E) this Sketch 145...Happy Birthday Flower

I couldn't resist another try at the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge this week!!  Aaaahhhh simplicity...how I LOVE IT!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used the Impression Obsession Cover a Card stamp, Birthday Words, using the top left corner of the 6" square stamp, masked on 4 sides, for my multi lined SENTIMENT part of the card.
I clear embossed the sentiments...loved the pretty shine the words got!!
In an attempt to perhaps encourage someone out there, I'll let you in on a little secret...l stamp imperfectly!!  The reason that the panel is raised is that I stamped the sentiments on cards crooked so many times, hoping for a one layer card, that I finally stamped one that I could cut down to "look" just right...yes, sometimes you just have to go with imperfect...and for a perfectionist, that's a HUGE thing to admit!!!
I used a Paper Smooches flower for a POP of color,  and an enamel dot for it's center.

I am really loving this sketch...the possibilities are endless!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 145 Fall Thank You

I am short on thank you cards right now, so when I saw the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge this week...it was perfect for a Fall thank you!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

Used my MISTI and just kept moving my paper up as I went lighter on the inks.  I started with black and used 4 colors of gray.  The leaf is from Impression Obsession (I think it's so pretty:)!!), the sentiment is Papertrey Ink.  I die cut the leaf from watercolor paper then used watercolor paints(a hint...I ran the leaf in the die back through my Big Shot AFTER I colored to strengthen the veins of the leaf that watercoloring mutes...it's all in the details:)!!).  Layered then adhered over the sentiments...
I have a feeling that I'll be doing some more of these...so much FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Love + Birds = Lovebirds

I have had the Impression Obsession Love Birds die for a long time, decided it was high time I made a card with it...
Die cut the birds in white, but thought they looked cooler black, so after 3 layers of white, covered with a black die cut image. The wings are ALSO layered.  The cool thing about this die is that it comes with the birds on a branch, their wings, AND the hearts...all in one die.  The "LOVE" die is from WPlus 9 Design, layered several times, too.  The hearts and "LOVE" we're colored with a red marker.  A close up...
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
