All You Need is Love

Today will be my last post until after Christmas...my daughter and son-in-law arrive tonight and will be here for a little over a week...will be spending all my time with family for the next week or so:):)!!  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!!  I will leave you with a card I made today from a song whose chorus sums up not only this holiday and season, but life...sung by the Beatles, HERE...
I used a new die from Papertrey Ink along with a musical score stamp from Hampton Art Stamps(couldn't provide a link to it) to kind of give the "feeling" of music.  The song starts out with..."Love...Love...Love", the end of the song..."Love is all you need".  The musical score was stamped with versamark and clear embossed for just a touch of added interest.  I glossy accented the popped up hearts.  Here's a closeup, even though it's still hard to see...
The inside of the card used the 3 "love" die cuts adhered together and covered with glossy accents.  Love this die and it's stamp sentiments!  Here's the inside...
Hope your holiday is peaceful and full of the true Love of the season and this life!!  See you after Christmas...Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 57...Pink Flowers, Red Hearts

Quick post...used my favorite set of flower dies with some red stick on hearts for a simple card for this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used a stamp from a set by Simon Says Stamp to make the colored polka dotted paper.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.  So glad you stopped by, hope your day has been or will be sweet:)!!  Hugs!! Lisa

From Mama Bear to Baby Bear

Made this card for my daughter, Hannah...she just finished hair school and has been given a full time apprentice job at an awesome salon in Nashville, with her very first interview!!  Proud of her???...uh...YEH!!!  And no matter 4 or 24...still my baby...
Used a new set of really cute animal stamps from Hero Arts, Lil Hoot, that I got at Simon almost a  month ago and finally had a reason to pull out of the wrapper and ink up:)!!  Paper pieced the bears with 3 shades of brown paper and white for the eyes,  and cut out all the pieces.  Popped up their heads just a little for depth.   Used a Papertrey Ink impression plate for the card and a polka dot set for the panel the bears are on. So happy you stopped by!!   Hugs!! Lisa

Flowery Happy Birthday

Used a cling stamp by Hero Arts...stamping 1/2 of it on each side of a cut card panel to make a birthday card...
I used a number of sharpie and mark it markers to color, and stamped and clear embossed an Avery Elle sentiment between the popped up panels.
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Lots of Thanks

I had pulled some stamp sets out of my big box of newer stamps the other day...looking to have some fun with some everyday stamps, taking an occasional break in my Christmas card making!  I used a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp as my "image"...
I stamped, embossed, cut out, and colored all five sentiments, and popped up above a few more Simon sentiments.  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS•ology Week 74...SNOWFLAKE

This week's challenge at CAS•ology had me reaching, yet again, for my favorite snowflake die, the Simon Says Stamp Eliza snowflake:) as the cue card is SNOWFLAKE...
I layered some patterned papers and die cut a wooden snowflake...
The patterned papers are from Chic Tags...they came in the Simon Says Stamp Elegant Holiday Card Kit..one is a reverse side of the other.  I think they are so pretty!!  I die cut the wood veneer snowflake and layered on 2 more die cut kraft paper snowflakes.  It was SO HARD to find a sentiment to fit that tiny space, but found a sentiment from Papertrey Ink that I THINK, fit perfectly.  The bow was white ribbon colored with a Spectrum Noir marker to match the paper.  I also LOVE the thought of this pretty snowflake as an ornament, so the twine wraps around the white panel and is lightly attached with a piece of tape, so it's easy to remove and hang on a tree...good way to get another use from a Christmas card:):)!!  Here's a close up of the wood and the Simon Says Stamp woodgrain paper...love the bright white and texture of this paper(photographed with a shadow)!!...
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
