CAS(E) this Sketch 124...Hello

The sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch was a bit challenging for me.  Those three slanted lines were hard to interpret.  As I was looking at the possibility of three skinny trees, I found a very old flower in a vase stamp in my drawer (Bloom Vase by Stampendous...press on colored title to take you to ebay, in case you were wondering)  that, although a bit of a stretch in design and content, I thought was cute!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I flipped my card sideways, making my strips a bit wider.  What I LOVED about this stamp...the flowers are leaning at an angle...in the same direction as the sketch:):)!!!  I stamped and cut out the flowers in their frames, then separate flowers and one set of leaves(the flower without the sentiment across it) and because I messed up on the coloring, stamped and cut out the vases! Colored with my Prismacolor pencils...YES, I could have made the flowers and vases funky, fun colors, but I love black and white polka dots(especially with yellow flowers), and in THIS case...thought less is more:)!!...so... simply and rather basically colored.  Dotted the dots in the flowers with Enamel Accents, the sentiment die is from Reverse Confetti!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Blossom Bunch...Three Ways

Last time I made cards with this fun and pretty Stampendous Blossom Bunch stamp, I had just gotten my new Prismacolor pencils for Christmas...HERE.   For my birthday, my wonderful sister, Rebecca, bought me some Prismacolor MARKERS!!  SO...I got out that stamp again, and colored...wanted to show you what I made:)!!...

 I stamped, clear embossed and colored.  Then, I tore some copy paper (did this the other day), and stamped the background stamp through the paper onto the card.

 This second card, I stamped on patterned paper.  I stamped again, on white cardstock and cut (LOVE fussy cutting...so relaxing!!) and colored the flowers, adhering them onto the stamped image on the patterned paper.

This third one is actually one that I made almost a couple months ago, when I first got the markers, took a pic, then gave the card away.  Simply stamped, framed and popped up on the same patterned paper as the second card (LOVE this striped paper...from Hobby Lobby...use it A LOT!!), then dotted the centers of the flowers with enamel accents.

Coloring on Colored Paper

I had told you after New Year's I would share what I got for Christmas...well, this is my one gift I REALLY wanted...

My daughter took a panoramic of the SIX TRAYS of pencils...this pic is only a portion of the 4 lower trays...

 I don't own any copic markers, but I LOVE my Prismacolor Pencils for coloring!  I HAD 70 colors, but found that for flowers and such, there weren't really a whole lot of colors and shades in the 70 colors.  Cyber Monday saw a great deal at Jerry's Artarama...so I upped my color palette to 150 colors...more than doubling my pencils with this new set!!   And although I know I often use purples and blues when coloring, I was drawn to color on colored paper, so was a bit more picky about colors that would be intense on the dark colors...I am going simple and easy....LOVING these pencils!!!...

 Three colors of purple on a white embossed kraft panel.  I stamped the sentiment on vellum with purple ink and clear embossed.  Added two shades of enamel dots in yellow.

 Used just two shades of blues on this one on white embossed dark gray panel.  Added enamel dots, twine and an elongated tag with a sentiment stamped with versamark and white embossed.  I added texture to the panel by embossing with texture plate.  OK...so much fun...LOVE!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Flowers of Paint and Ink

I made this card using a technique I saw on Pinterest, painting the petals of a flower with white craft paint and a water brush  and after drying, coming back over the paint with ink from a reinker, also applied with the water brush (I used Stampin Up Regal Rose)...

I dotted the middles of the flowers with Enamel Accents.  What a fun, relaxing time I had.  The only thing that is IMPORTANT in this technique is to make sure that when you paint with the white paint, you need to make sure you stay in the lines...otherwise the ink will feel free to go over the lines, too...and makes for a blurry look with the petal's lines.  Thanks for visiting me today!!
