CAS(E) this Sketch...For a Cause!

How thrilled I was to be invited to be a guest designer for CAS(E) this Sketch! this week!!  This week's challenge has an added dimension to it.  You can make a card for a cause...make a card with some sweet animals in mind...for an animal shelter to use for our furry friends!  You can check out all the details on the CAS(E) this Sketch blog!!
It's so funny...when Chrissy asked me about being a part of the challenge and sent me the sketch, I immediately made a couple cards.  I didn't know of the animal shelter part of the challenge at the time...she didn't want to add another request on top of making a card for the sketch, but TOO FUNNY, today's card is the first card I had made with the sketch (but opted to send my snowflake card instead).  I sent the pic  I had taken of this card to her last night when I read of the animal shelter cause...

Too funny, right??!!  I LOVE this heart with paw prints in it...together with the sentiment,  SUPER LOVE!!  I die cut and layered the heart border and paw prints, made the strips across the card with patterned paper and stamped the wonderful sentiment from Papertrey ink.  Here's a close up...
Hope you'll join the fun...I'm off to mail my card away to the shelter!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch!...Peace Love Joy

I am thrilled and honored to be a guest designer at CAS(E) this Sketch! this week!!  Thank you Chrissy for inviting me!!  What a fantastic sketch this week, too!!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used a Memory Box snowflake die, Precious Snowflakes(retired I think), layered several times, a small Simon heart die for the center(Holiday Shapes), a Hero Arts sentiment (Holiday Sayings CL343...I think it's also retired😞) and sponged the background using a torn piece of paper.  I used the division between the sky and ground on my background for the middle line.  I also used some Enamel Accents to dot the sky with some snow.  Here's a close up...
Hope you  will join in the fun...what a wonderful sketch...endless possiblities!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday Hugs

I LOVE the My Favorite Things Stitched Flower dies!!  I made a birthday card with my favorite color scheme...pinks green and gray(the striped paper is from Hobby Lobby)...
I had had the MFT Stitched Cover Up Vertical die for a while, but thought these flowers, fit it perfectly!  I die cut and layered both the flowers and the frame, using the tiny flowers on the bottom to mimic the single flower on the top.  The sentiment is from Altenew, Birthday Greetings set.  Here's a close up...
Fun to make everyday cards in the midst of Holiday creatin'!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Believe...

Simon Says Stamp had a new release today...Believe in the Season!  There are beautiful, fun, and inspiring stamps, dies and some pretty new inks available with this release!!!  I have made a card to celebrate this new Christmas release using two of the new stamp sets...
I stamped the berries and leaves from the "Winter Flowers" stamp set on dark red and green cardstock with versa mark and gold embossed.  I cut the leaves and berries with scissors and then stamped the sentiment  from the new "Believe" stamp set and the berries and leaves again, on the white cardstock panel and gold embossed.  I dotted the "eyes" of the berries with white enamel accents.  I adhered the red berries and green stamped leaves onto the gold embossed images that I had stamped on the panel, and adhered the panel to a white card.  Here's a close up...

Hope you will check out the new release...jam packed with wonderful new stamps, dies and new inks...for the holidays ahead!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday, Noah!

We are celebrating my amazing Noah's 21st birthday today...my "baby" is TWENTY-ONE!!  He IS my rainbow boy...hey, he IS NOAH, after all, so I HAD to make a card with a rainbow!!...
The "Happy" and "st" are from Papertrey Ink, the "21" is My Favorite Things.  I used 3/4" pieces of patterned paper adhered together, then everything was die cut together.  I layered all the pieces and adhered to black cardstock panel.  I also stamped a Happy Birthday background with a stamp from Impression Obsession, stamped with versamark and clear embossed.  Here's a close up...
I love my boy...he brings such incredible joy to my life!!   Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 194...Prayers and Love

Another new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used the Simon Says Stamp/Hero Arts set from last year's Stamptember® release, along with some patterned paper from Reverse Confetti(discontinued😞).  I cut a strip of hearts from each of 6 colored papers, then attached two strips each, in rainbow order, into 3 strips.  I popped up the middle strip and layered and popped up the sentiment.  I also die cut 3 hearts from black cardstock (and layered...of course) and glossy accented them after I had adhered them to the card.  Here's a close up...
Hope you're having a great weekend...thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Merry Bough

I just got the Concord and 9th Take a Bough dies, and made a super CAS Christmas card with the longest of the dies, along with a sentiment die from one of my favorite sets of holiday sentiment dies, Reverse Confetti's Winter Words dies...
Funny...I had put the sentiment and bough together a different way, with the bough on the top and the "merry" on the bottom.  I decided I just didn't like it so much, so I put the "merry" in the middle and hung the tied together boughs from the end of the "y".  I layered both the sentiment as well as the boughs.  Adhered to a card that had a piece of patterned paper from AC Moore adhered to it.  I used some Ranger Classic Cherry on the boughs to make some "berries".  Here's a close up of the fun bough and sentiment...
