Spring is in the air at Simon
Says Stamp!! Celebrating the spring season, Simon is introducing their amazing new collection of stamps, dies, inks, papers and stencils with the new Spring 2014 Release!! I am so thrilled and super excited to be joining some
incredible artists today, showing you some of the wonderful new things at Simon by way of this fun Blog Hop!!
I
am using the brand new Simon Says Stamp Full Card Hourglass die for my cards today. There are so many ways to showcase this die, I wanted to show you just some of the many possible ways(OK...I had A LOT of FUN!!)!!
This first one I adhered strips of the new Simon Says Stamp blue papers and a couple different grays and THEN die cut the whole striped panel. The sentiment is a combination of a brand new die from the Spring collection, Brothers Nephew Son dies, and a stamped sentiment from the SSS set Inside and Out sayings.
This
second card I used an extended die cut behind the front panel. I put the blue paper on
the die and die cut about ½
way through. Then, I moved the paper up a bit and die cut the blue paper
from the opposite side, making the blue die cut paper a bit longer than
the original die. The blue paper was then long enough to fit underneath and opposite the white panel, showing blue triangles and not pieces of them on the ends. I used another die from the Brothers Nephew
Son die with some glossy accents and a sentiment from the SSS set
YOU. I carried that sentiment to the inside...
I then
decided to try a radiating rainbow of Simon paper with some of the new Tiny Tags stamps and
their coordinating dies making up my sentiment...
And
though this die has lines that make it very easy to make"manly"
cards, the die also can also simply, be used for a more feminine card. I
used some pink patterned paper, embossed the die OVER the white die panel,
added enamel dots and a glossy accented Simon die cut "hello"
sentiment.
...and lastly...for all those leftover triangles from the die cut, this card with paint chips(if you know me...it's all about the rainbows!!) to cover the layered white triangles and another glossy accented SSS die cut "hello"...
OK...FUN,
FUN, FUN!!!
