I am thrilled to be a part of today's Simon Says Stamp Diecember® release Blog Hop!! You should have come here from Suzy Plantamura's blog!
I LOVE dies!! I love December!! Simon has made this December full of wonderful dies...making this a LOVED Diecember®:)!! I chose the fun set of border dies from this new release for my two cards today, Arched Stitching Borders dies! What is so cool about these border dies is that they can be used as traditional border dies to make cards like these...
I like that they can also be used in different ways! The first way I've used them a lttle differently is to use them to make an image... a sun!...
I like that they can also be used in different ways! The first way I've used them a lttle differently is to use them to make an image... a sun!...
This was made with patterned paper, die cut with the saw tooth edged border die from the set, layered and adhered to a card base with another piece of patterned paper with a sentiment from the Simon Handlettered Encouragement stamp set. Here's a close up...
OR...you could use the border die to create a frame for a sentiment, which serves as the focal point for the card...
Simply done, I die cut the scalloped die from the set on both sides of a piece of white cardstock, creating a scalloped frame. I then stamped the sentiment stamp from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set, stamped in black and clear embossed. I layered the frame for some depth and adhered to the patterned panel of the card. Here's a close up...
