Having Fun With Leftovers...Joy!

I made a card with leftover die cuts...
I save my leftover die cuts.  Some projects work, others, not so much, but...call me a hoarder or maybe as I'd like to say, a hopeful hoarder, I save the die cuts I don't use for another day...another project.  THIS is what my craft desk looked like when I opened my 4+ bags of leftover die cuts to sort and decide what to keep or use...AGHHHHH!!!!!....what a mess, but what POTENTIAL!!!...
I chose to use the snowflakes from the discontinued Memory Box die, Snowflake Love Pendant die (on the bottom left in the above picture), cut them off the die cut, layered and used the Pretty Pink Posh Film Strip dies that I had leftover(in the middle), layering them as well.  I combined them with a piece of watercolored paper, that I had THROWN IN THE GARBAGE, my craft garbage can...but remembered it, and thought it would be perfect for THIS project...TOO FUNNY!!!!  I adhered them to a card that I had used the Papertrey Ink Impression Plate and then die cut the Reverse Confetti Joy to finish the card(layered too)!  Here's a close up...
I have ideas for A LOT more of my leftovers...stay tuned!!!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  1. Yay for leftovers! The card is beautiful. I save a lot of my leftovers, too, especially the Christmas card ones. I may need to thin out the selection this year, I've still got stuff from several years ago.

  2. I save my leftovers too, and when the pile gets too big, I sort and give some to a friend just starting out in cardmaking!
Love the pretty card you created with your leftovers -- so gorgeous!

  4. And a lovely card it is. Thanks for sharing. I'm a hopeful hoarder, as well.

  5. I keep my leftovers sort of organized in a 3-ring notebook by putting them in plastic photo pockets or baseball card pockets. Not perfect, but easier to find than when just all thrown together.

  8. I bet we all have a leftover bin or bag of stuff too pretty to throw away yet time just didn't allow us to make something with it at the moment. Do I spy a Pringles foil in there in the upper right??? That would be awesome die cut!
