Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember®” event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complimenting ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, life documenting, art journaling, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.
To celebrate the 4th annual Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® event, we're 'hopping' along sharing some great projects featuring the newSTAMPtember® product releases!
It's one of the biggest releases to date and features new stamp sets, dies and stencils - the newest addition the Simon brand of products.
I am so thrilled and honored to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp Artist's Group and this blog hop, today!! This STAMPtember® release is AMAZING...wonderful stamps and dies, galore!! I was especially THRILLED with the gift card envelope!! I don't know about you, but I give A LOT of gift cards!! I think they are perfect gifts for most people, but they ARE pretty boring. THEN...I found that the Circle Card Border die fit the Gift Card Envelope die PERFECTLY...so gift cards can be made fun/pretty/cool... personal... with not only an envelope but a card, too...a gift card becoming a special gift...not just a boring card!!
We're so excited that you are here to celebrate with us and we hope to inspire you at all stops along one of our biggest blog hops ever!
I made four gift card cards with the gift cards enclosed in vellum and acetate envelopes...
This first one was made with a onesie gift card from Target. I cut the tops off the gift card envelope and used a circle punch to cut a 1/2 circle out of the envelope. It was essential that you would see the gift card, thus the vellum...adhered the envelope to the inside of the card.
The second one is one I made for my daughter (actually I made 2 of them for my 2 daughters:)!!)...
I started by stamping the sentiment on the envelope and using a white gel pen to add three dots on the end and the beginning of the inside (BTW...the We R Memory Keepers envelope maker is a must have...very cool...you can make envelopes for ANY sized card...like these 3" x 4" cards!!)...
Then the card finishes the sentiment
And when you open up the card, you will find momma and baby(me and her) in an acetate envelope...this time even MORE important to see the card clearly
The third one is a wedding card for one of my daughter's friends. I opted for cream with white embossed script from Beautiful Moments and a vellum white embossed flower colored with Memento markers(the bridesmaids will be in pink)
I used the same sentiment on the envelope as I did on the card, though it is hard to see...
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a goody bag at every stop on the hop! That's 16 chances to win!

And it open...
The possibilities are endless and SO MUCH FUN!!!
I will post all the supplies I used on these cards at the bottom of this post...
