A quick post as I squeeze in a card for CAS•ology Week 60...Cue Card APPLE.
I just got the Apple Print set from Papertrey Ink...and although it is filled with wonderful apple stamps...I thought and thought and thought some more...and wound up die cutting with the coordinating dies...go figure....
Here was my thinking, though...just to justify my choice. I substitute teach and thought..."If I'm going to make a card with apples, I want to make a thank you card for a teacher I'll be subbing for." So...die cut 5 apples from total sticky post it notes and positioned them on card. Placed die over each die cut paper and cut out apple. Stamped sentiment and used Woodgrain impression plate to give the card texture. Used layered piece of paper underneath card, popped up only at the bottom, and adhered polka dotted apples in the die cut holes. Not fancy, but FUN!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea - you are very creative!
ReplyDeleteI am a first grade teacher. I am going to make a bunch of these on craft paper cards and give them to the first grade team teachers for a Christmas present. I am going to put a simple note in the middle so they can add a sentence and be done with Christmas thank you notes to their kiddos.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful and what a great gift that will be for your team teachers, Kathy, as thank you's are ALWAYS needed by teachers for those Christmas gifts:)!! Soooo happy you were inspired:)!!
