Butterfly Love Recycled and Leftovers

I must confess...I am a bit of a hoarder.  Just to clarify, I'm not like the tv show "Hoarders", but when I get a box with bubble wrap in it, or a pretty reusable gift bag, for example, I know they still have potential use...I hoard with purpose.  Yes, I hear it...I'm sure that's what every hoarder on that show used to say, but I will say, I occasionally watch the show to keep me from going down that slippery slope!! 😆  Well...I was given a package, recently, with some really pretty, heavy wrapping paper on it, and just knew it would make for a pretty card, so I cut it up and put it aside for later...well, it's later...
I have combined the recycled wrapping paper, with a few Simon Says Stamp dies,  choosing the pretty gold and beautiful blue from the paper to use as colors for the sentiment and butterfly.  I tried a few gold card stocks, until I tried the My Favorite Things Gold Shine that I had gotten, and it was PERFECT!!  I layered the sentiment as well as the butterfly.  Oh, and I used the body/antennea from Adeline Butterfly and adhered it to the Stitched Butterfly die cut body...I really wanted antenna on this one.  I took a couple pics, and hopefully you can see/the picture picked up, the pretty gold streaks in the paper...
 Here's another view...

Then...The Leftover part of the post...
I had one little square of my rainbow paper leftover from the birthday card and the butterfly card I made(the last two posts), well, being the recycler  I am (yes, I also love to recycle!!), I stamped the small butterfly from the Beautiful Day stamp set, die cut it and added a sentiment from the set...a quick, super simple card, no layering, no dots, SUPER CAS!!  But cool, though how a tiny butterfly and a sentiment CAN make a card...
Here's a close up...the only extra to this card, embossed...gives it a little shine...
SO MUCH FUN!!  Hope you're having fun today!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  1. Now repeat after me till it washes away any negativity, ' I am not a hoarder, I am just more aware than others that most things have another use in craft'.Your card is stunning and I would have saved the paper too.

  2. That paper was totally worth the save! Your die cuts are wonderful for showing off the colors and design of the paper! I love that idea for many reasons: sometimes it's sad to throw away pretty gift wrap, and you could make a card to match packaging! Such a sweet rainbow butterfly on your CAS card!
