I decided to make a couple more, but different cards than my first cards made with the new Simon Says Stamp Mother/Father full card dies. My first two cards can be found HERE...here are my two new ones...
I wanted to use canvas as a background...trying to splatter paint on the canvas to make it look like a drop cloth, but my daughter said it looked like blood, so I opted for a clean canvas with some tools and screws(brads with the brads cut off). I LOVED the look of wood for a Father's Day card...I layered with 3 layers of kraft die cuts underneath the wood veneer. The tools were made with My Favorite Things dies(I cut the hole parts off...the dies were meant to be charms). Here's a couple close ups...
I layered all the tools...I layer EVERYTHING...die cut the hammer and saw in wood veneer , the screwdriver in black then cut and used for just the handles. I then used glossy accents on all the tool handles.
The Mother's Day card HAD to have flowers...so I used some flowered paper for the main die cut...
I then die cut some pink flowers mimicking the actual flowers in the paper...
The centers of the flowers were white stick on dots colored with a navy sharpie marker. The dies I used are listed below, although one of the flowers was made with Memory Box Floral Delights, which doesn't seem to be in production...thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
