Tropical Silhouettes in Gold

I used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Tropical Silhouettes stamp/die set from their Rainbows Release, to make a birthday card...
I googled these leaves, and found so many cool inspirational pieces with them!  The one that I was most drawn to, I think it was wallpaper, had a black background and gold toned leaves.  What you see is my take on that piece.  It was pretty impossible to photograph, but the stamped, embossed and die cut leaves on my card, were embossed with a sparkly gold embossing powder.  They have a pretty sparkle, and not only stand out from the gold embossed leaves on the black panel because of them being die cut, but because of their sparkle.  I also hand cut some of the slits in the die cut leaves, that were not die cut, to allow pieces of the leaves to stand out when I adhered them to the card.   I added some gold Tonic drops.  I couldn't decide which(if any) pictures showed the sparkle, so I will show you all three that I took...

SO MUCH FUN...these leaves make for wonderful card...I'm kinda happy with the results!  Hope you are doing well...hope you have some fun today!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  1. Lovely card and enjoyed your detailed description as well! Nice to see a mix of stamping with die cuts as an accent instead of a focus. Really looks striking!!
