The 5th annual Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® celebration began yesterday with the official release of Simon's new stamps dies, stencils, inks, and some new stamping accessories...the collection is AMAZING!!! I am thrilled to be among a number of uber talented and amazing artists who have joined together to showcase some of all these wonderful products by way of this hop today!!
I, personally, am blown away by all the creative genius that went into this release....I am in love with the new and wonderful stamps, dies and stencils...the collection takes you from Fall to Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas and lots of places in between....and with fun, beauty, and amazing artistry!! There are SIX new Simon color inks, too...have-to-have colors!! I LOVE IT ALL!!!
I especially LOVE dies, and there are SO MANY to LOVE in this release!! I will be showcasing the Poinsettia Parade today...
The cool thing about this die is that it can be used as it is in it's parade form, or used to make a traditional poinsettia! I wanted to show you some of the ways you could use this die to make some poinsettia loveliness for your holiday cards! A parade die calls for a parade!!...maybe you could put your Christmas music on:)...
The second and third ones use the die as is...layered and then simply die cut, using the same striped paper with a wonderful new sentiment die from Simon, Season's Greetings. I used wood veneer paper for this one...just loved the layered wood together with the striped paper and white sentiment...
This one I simply die cut the poinsettias with a layer behind the die cut, then embossed with the die on the card, using the same die sentiment as the one above...
I used shiny silver paper on a black panel and card for this next one...using another new Simon, sweet sentiment die, from the set Deco Trees dies. I die cut the sentiment first, then used the poinsettia die at an angle on the panel and die cut around the sentiment(a total of 4 times, 2 large cuts and 2 smaller ones for the corners). I die cut the poinsettia parade and sentiment in shiny silver and with sticky foam behind the panel, adhered the sentiment and poinsettia pieces onto the black panel. Cool how you can layer, simply die cut or inlay!!
For my last card, I simply used the entire Poinsettia parade to make a wreath and made a pink poinsettia for the wreath...
Here's a close up...
