Bunny Kisses

I have made an Easter card filled with adorable bunnies!  I used a new stamp/die set, and a new stencil, both from Simon Says Stamp's newest Splendor release!...

I stamped and colored the bunnies, then, despite having dies, I hand cut them out.  I had stenciled the rainbow of words on the panel and cut it down, and I wanted the bunnies to fit on the panel, so I cut them out.  Having them all together, die cut, they wouldn't have fit.  I think it worked out cutely with them all randomly in a row on the panel.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment, then popped up the panel on the card.  Here's a cloe up...

Daisy Butterfly Birthday

I have made a birthday card with the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Mix and Match Butterflies stamp/die set, in the Splendor release as well as Simon's March Card Kit!

I stamped and die cut the butterfly and colored the butterfly with markers.  I was kind of liking the thought of a daisy for my flower(I LOVE daisies!),  and surrounded by blue skies...I actually like how the colors played out.  I layered the butterfly pieces, and popped it up over a gray embossed square.  I chose to adhere the butterfly to a square card...just like how it looked on this layout.  I know alot of people don't do square cards, but....did you know...that the stamp you use for a card with thickness or embellishments, one that won't go through the postal machines, is the same stamp you can use on a square card??  Just FYI.  I used one of the new embossing folders to make the background a little interesting and give it a little interest, and a birthday greeting from a new CZ Design sentiment stamp set!

...More Than Carrots

I've made a card with a new stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's newest release, Splendor...

This set has some really cute stamps, and I chose the single carrot and it's die, to make my card!  I stamped the carrot a bunch of times, and die cut each one.  I then colored them with markers and randomly popped them up on a card with foam tape.  I used the fun sentimtiment from the set, stamped below the carrots.  Here's a close up...

Whirl Flowers

I have made a couple cards with the new fun and pretty Simon Says Stamp Whirl Flower die, from their new Splendor release!...

I have made both cards the same way, just different colors, layouts, and sentiment themes.  To used this die in a slightly different way then was perhaps intended, I hand cut part of each petal out with my scissors, and used the cut outs as a stencil to color the flower for the card...

After the colors were brushed on, I took and folded that stenciled, and colored part of each petal up a bit...to give them some dimension.    I added a couple of the sentiment stamps from the very cool new CZ Design Birthday Basics stamp set.   I layered the flower a couple times, then adhered one of the very pretty new gems in the center. I love about this gem is it's RAINBOW!!  Yes, a gem that is rainbow colored...how cool is that!!  Here's a close up...

The second one is actually the first one that I had made...in an aqua blue with another one of the pretty gems from the new release...

I used a sentiment from the Flower Love stamp set.  I also used one of the new gems from the release, too, for the center of the flower.  Here's a close up...

Splendor Blog Hop Day 1!

I am joining a number of amazing artists to celebrate the newest release over at Simon Says Stamp, Splendor, over at the Simon Blog!  There are so many wonderful stamps dies, stencils and stamping accessories(inks, brushes, sparkles...) in this release!  There are products for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, birthdays, and lots more!  

I have used the cool new Gift Bag die, and the sweet and adorable Easter Peeps stamp set(has coordinating dies, too!), to make a couple Easter bags filled with candy!...

The first one, I die cut the bag, then stamped one of the line stamps with black ink, and colored the flowers and chick with markers.  I dotted the "daisies" with some of the new dazzling yellow gems.  I did use very old red metallic heart brads to attach the handles to the bag(I have linked to some red metallic heart brads below...not sure if they are the same size, but they"look" like it).  I then used thin double sided tape to adhere the corners and bottoms of the bag.  I filled it with Easter straw and Easter Kit Kats, as the colors were just right.  Here's a close up...

 

The second one, I used some aqua blue cardstock to cut out the bag...

This time I made it super simple(you could quickly make alot of them for work or neighbors), by stamping the bunnies and sentiment with versamark and white embossing.  Like the first one, I used some very old heart brads, I had, these smaller and white.  I, again, filled the bag with straw, and then with candy.  Here's a close up...

Okay...I had SO much fun making my bags, they are so stinkin' cute and perfect for so many occasions, or no occasions at all!!  My fun was above, your fun is below!!

Splendor Release!

There is a new release out, over at Simon Says Stamp...Splendor!  I have used one of the beautiful new die sets, along with a sentiment from one of the new sets, to make a birthday card!...

I die cut the stem/flowers from white cardstock, and colored the stem with a marker, and the flowers with an ink pad and blending brush.  I adhered the stem/flowers to the card, in an oval cut panel that had texture...it was a scrap.  I used a sentiment from one of the new stamp sets from this release, and popped the panel up over the card.  Here's a closeup...

Mix and Match Butterflies March Card Kit

The new Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit is out today, the Mix and Match Butterflies Card Kit!  The butterflies are beautiful, but I chose to work with the also beautifulTim Holtz Transparent 

Things 2 acetate flower filled sheets in the kit,  creating, simply, with these four beautiful pictures...

So simply done, I chose to use these four sheets to make four note cards, no sentiments, just the flowers, framed in the ivory, navy, and gold cardstock from the kit, blending the other 3 colors with Simon inks, to match the flowers.  Here are close ups of the four cards...

Love Notes

I have used the new Simon Says Stamp/Tim Holtz Love Notes Bundle, the stamps from Tim Holtz and the dies from Simon Says Stamp...a wonderful collaboration, to make a card that simply says it all...

I stamped the one heart three times, die cut, and hand cut out the middles of all three hearts.  I die cut the heart shapes another three times, these times with red and pink cardstocks...no stamping.  I popped the stamped and die cut/cut out hearts over the colored die cuts, then adhered them to a card, popping up the middle one,  with one of the sentiments from the stamp set stamped below the hearts.  I added some Rainbow Splash Drops for added bling.  Here's a close up...

These hearts are so cool, and making this card was so much fun!!  How cool for these two companies to come together and create such a cool bundle of fun!!

I Think the World of You

I made a card with a Simon Says Stamp sentiment die from the Sweetheart release, that speaks volumes of the recipient...

I used an older stencil with some embossing paste, stenciling the hearts and letting them dry.  I then blended some red ink all over the panel.  This turned the stenciled hearts pink, with a red background.  I layered the sentiment, and adhered it to the hearted panel.  Here's a close up...

I have been having a slow start to creating, this month.  With Valentine's day just a handful of days away, though, you can never have too many cards with hearts on them...although... love is for everyday!!
