Gold, Black and White Thank You

I made a card using an old Memory Box die, Meadow Leaf, with black and gold, and white cardstock (I'm loving this color combo!), to make a thank you card...
I die cut the leaves from black cardstock a few times, layering underneath the main panel a couple times.  I EMBOSSED a piece of gold cardstock with the die, and adhered that to the bottom of all the layers.  Just a note...in case you're wondering WHY EMBOSS the gold instead of simply putting a piece of gold cardstock underneath??  I am all about the littlest of details that make a card look a little more special.  Below...the first panel EMBOSSED, the second NOT EMBOSSED.  Notice there is some cool raised definition SHOWING with the embossed gold...just a slight detail that adds so much to a simple card...
The sentiment is Papertrey Ink, stamped with Versamark and gold embossed.  I also textured the panel with an impression plate and die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle. I don't know if you can tell from this pic, but it looks kind of "leathery"...liked just a little texture on the black panel for added interest...

Inspired Hexagon Birthday

Another card made with the Simon Says Stamp Perfect Shapes dies, and Thoughtful Messages stamp set...
I wasn't sure how to best use the hexagons for a card, so I googled hexagon art, and found the pic below...IN LOVE!!...
I used one large gold hexagon on the bottom, then 2 large black hexagons minus their middles, then used 2 layered smaller white hexagons on the top of the black layered hexagon...yes, a lot of die cut hexagons...but it goes fast!!  I stamped the one sentiment and clear embossed, then stamped the "happy" with versa mark and gold embossed.
Here's a pic of the die cut gold, white and black hexagons, and up in the right corner, you can see that I used washi tape to tape the nested hexagons together so all the hexagons would be die cut identically...
Here's a close up of the hexagons and the sentiment...
Not sure I'm ready to put these dies away, yet...having too...much...FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Feel Better Soon Vine of Flowers

I used the leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Forget Me Not die set, flowers from the Mini Flowers and Leaves set, and a sentiment from the Handlettered Encouragement stamp set to make a get well card...
I die cut,  and layered both the leaves and flowers, and embossed the card with a piece of burlap to give the card some texture.  Love this layout for sentiments...they can be nicely nested into the image...kinda looks cool:)!! I made sure to put a flower over each spot where the leaves ended and began(there are 2 long and 2 short),  making it look like one long vine of leaves.   Here's a close up...you can see the lines of the embossed burlap a bit better close up...

Triangle Thanks

I made another card with the same things I used on yesterday's card...Simon Says Stamp's Perfect Shape dies, Thoughtful Messages stamps, and paint chips...
I used one of the CAS(E) this Sketch sketches for my inspiration!  I have been seeing commercials on tv, of late, with shapes in the backgrounds, and have just so been inspired to create with shapes.  I layered the triangles, stamped the sentiment...super simple...oh how I love clean and simple!!!  Here's a close up...
SUCH FUN...more to come!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Blue Squares Birthday

I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Perfect Shapes dies, and have been having SOME REAL FUN!!...
The dies came attached and I decided to leave the squares attached and die cut with them that way.  What that gave me were large and small squares with the centers cut out.
I die cut a bunch of large black squares, and then, by accidentally placing a smaller black one on top of a larger one, decided that it would be really cool to put a couple layers of black on top of the layered large squares, and top it off with a small paint chip colored cut out square (Oh how I love when "accidents" like this happen...they make me HAPPY!).  I used a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages stamp set for the sentiment.  Here's a close up...
This set of dies is a BLAST to create with...more to come!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Silhouetted Thank You

I'm really late to the party, but made a card based on a CAS(E) this Sketch challenge sketch from a couple weeks ago, and decided to use one of my FAVORITE leaf dies of all times, Memory Box's Fresh Foliage...
I used a My Favorite Things background stamp, Mesh, stamped on watercolor paper with versa mark and clear embossed.  I then used watercolor paints in silver and black with a water brush to color the panel.  I cut it up and layered the pieces, then adhered them onto card with a stamped Papertrey sentiment.  I layered the Fresh Foliage leaves three times , then adhered to the mesh rectangles.  Here's a close up...
Just a note... It appears the Fresh Foliage die has been discontinued, but can still befound at a couple places, it IS a pretty die!!

Thanks Sew Much

I used some retired button dies from My Favorite Things (that's what happens when you let dies stay unused on your desk too long😞) to make a thank you card...
I die cut the buttons, layered, then put two layers of glossy accents on them to give them the look of shiny buttons!  I then used some twine, and threaded the buttons.  I used a Simon Says Stamp die to make a swervy pattern to follow the buttons on the card panel...
I chose to use the new Simon Says Stamp Script Thanks die as the sentiment, but it just wasn't enough.  I chose to computer generate an addition that would GO with the buttons..."sew much"...only thing was...I tried and tried, and it just didn't look right.  Lots of cardstock went through my printer on a quest for the perfect font and size, and cut strip.  Look at all my "tries"...
I had wanted to put the "sew much" on pink cardstock, but it just...didn't...look...right.  So I opted to simply print the "sew much" onto a white card panel...and that felt and looked right to me. I used one of the striped recycled papers for a side border (I used one on yesterday's card).   Here's a close up...
Just a note...although these button dies are no longer available, I've linked, below, to some different button dies that you could use in lieu of the ones I used on my card!😊
Sometimes, clean and simple can be lots of messy and full of trial and errors...LOTS of redos...not so simple, to get to the final product.  But, no matter what, this was so...much...fun!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
