Simon Says Stamp "You Have My Heart" Release Blog Hop and Giveaway!

With Christmas behind us and the New Year here,  Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their latest release, You Have My Heart, a beautiful collection of stamps and dies filled with loving and happy messages and images...beginning the new year with love!  This collection is perfect for everyday, but with all the beautiful hearts in the stamps and dies of this release, it is especially wonderful for the most celebrated day of the year for love, Valentine's Day!!
I am so thrilled to be a part of this fun blog hop, joining some amazing artists, showcasing the amazing stamps and dies of this new release!!  You should have arrived here from the creative and sweet Sarah Moerman's blog!

I have made a couple cards to show you.  I have a question for my first one...who/what does it make you think of when you see it?...
Ok...when I made it, it made me think of the show and lady that anyone who knows me will tell you is one of my forever favorites, I Love Lucy!!...LOL
I used some watercolor paper and with one of the middle dies from the new Nested Hearts dies,  I created a mask to watercolor a heart onto the paper.  I LOVE these heart dies, the sizes go from tiny to extra large...have never had such a wonderful variety of sizes in one set of dies, and never any this large for whole heart card possibilities!!  I die cut and layered the new I Love You dies and adhered to the heart.  I popped up the panel.  The polka dotted ends are washi tape (loved the smaller dots and intense white and black that somewhat have it over simply using dotted paper.).  Here's a close up

The second one...LOVE the new Texting stamp/die set!  Couldn't resist making a card, as it spoke to my style of texting to my daughters, especially...
I chose to use Simon Says Stamp Island Blue ink as it most mimicked the color of my texts, and then cut out the text messages.  I popped them up, die cut and color the heart with my prismacolor markers and lined them up down the middle of the card.  Here's a close up...

Now...for the giveaway!!  Each stop on the hop will receive a Simon says Stamp Prize pack valued at approximately $50, randomly selected by Simon on Monday, January 4th, so make sure you leave a comment for a chance to win...leave a comment on each blog and you will have FOURTEEN chances to win!!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog on the hop!!  The next stop on the hop is the creative      Yoosun Hur!!
The hop begins at the Simon Says Stamp Blog, so if you encounter any broken links while "hopping", you can head  back there for a full list of participants!
Happy Hopping!!

Stacked Hearts x 3

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas!!! I still have family here for another day, but have made a few cards with the Simon Says Stamp Stacked Hearts die that I wanted to share with you!  This die is so pretty/adorable...I used it, by itself, with three different sentiments..
All the colors of my hearts were done with paint chips...LOVE paint chips!!  I layered each of the Stacked Hearts three times and inserted the hearts into the frame.  The sentiment for the first one is a piece of a Simon Says Stamp sentiment.  Here's a close up...
The second one, the sentiment is computer generated...
The third one, the sentiment is from Paper Smooches...
Oh my gosh...you could use this die for birthdays, wedding(two red hearts with all the other blank....which I had, but changed out for the blue), or even...simply...love...and that alone is an idea with endless possibilities!!  OK...will be back in my craft room next week, can't wait to get back to all my new "stuff" just waiting to be played with:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Final Christmas Card for 2015

I know I've been absent a bit this month...lots of family visiting and a crazy December have had me away from my "haven"...I will be back soon!!  Here's one final Christmas card I made using some peanut tops(the tops that seal a can of peanuts) and some older products from Paper Smooches and Hero Arts...
I die cut the leaves from the Paper Smooches die and adhered them to the card, fitting them to the Hero Arts sentiment.  Here's a close up...
I LOVE using older stamps and dies...always great to give them some loving:)!!  Hope you are all having a great weekend in anticipation of Christmas this coming week:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Bramble Heart

Simon Says Stamp just released their latest sets of stamps and dies yesterday, with their You Have My Heart collection it is wonderful!!  The Bramble Heart die is one of the sweet dies from that collection, and is  a simply lovely, delicate and flowing heart shaped die!  I have a card to show you today, that I made using this pretty, new die...
I die cut the flower filled heart 3 times, and adhered them together.  I colored the leaves with markers and  used pink cardstock for the flowers and dotted them and the berries with Enamel Accents. I used a white panel, and embossed with Simon's stitched rectangles, and an older sentiment stamp from another Simon set.
Hope you will check out the new  release...it's full of some wonderful new products, can't wait to show you more!!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Three Layered Snowflakes

I LOVE Reverse Confetti's  Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts dies!!  The versatility of this set is wonderful...you can make layered snowflakes as simple, or as intricate as you choose.  These dies make for some really pretty snowflakes...I have opted to make my snowflakes into ornaments that I will give as gifts!  I have made three...all with the same colors, so you can see how different they can look...I have had so much fun...the possibilities are only limited by your imagination (the diagrams on the Reverse Confetti site are SO helpful, too:)!!)!  Here they are...

I layered the kraft base on all three, as well as the hearts and green and white center pieces.  I did paper pierce all the flakes...

I did hand write this on the back of the ornaments, too...

Here's a pic of the die set:

Oh my...I think I may do one of these each month next year, so I will easily have 12 done by Christmas!!  What fun!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

One More Heart of Roses...For My Dad!

I told you that the trio of cards using the Simon Says Stamp Heart of Roses die, the other day, would not be the last. Well, I had some more white die cut hearts on my desk, when I thought of my dad!  My dad LOVES the color yellow AND roses,  I give him yellow roses on Father's day. AND...although this heart is wonderfully feminine and romantic,  I thought...hey...why can't we make a "guy" card with this die??  Answer: WE CAN!!  I added some gray and white striped paper to the background with my favorite little Rubber Soul "dad" stamp, and...
Along with the die cut hearts, I also had some watercolor paper on my desk, so I die cut the heart from the watercolor paper, removed the pieces that were not flowers or leaves, and used my Peerless watercolor paints to color them:)!!  I adhered them under two white die cut hearts.  Here's a close up...
I know this card is very much like those of a couple days ago, but I have now used paper with markers, acetate with markers, and watercolor paper with paints for the the flowers and leaves...same layout, different mediums, colors, and overall look:)!!
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
