To say I LOVE dies would be an understatement, but I REALLY LOVE dies!!! Simon Says Stamp creates REALLY amazing dies!! Simon has one release every year that is devoted to dies, DieCember®, so you've got to know that it is one release I am especially excited about!!! Today, Simon is celebrating this new release with a Blog Hop jam packed with a whole bunch of amazing artists!! I am so thrilled to have been invited to be a part, and to share a couple cards I made today with just a couple of these amazing brand new dies!!!
I used the beautiful new Corbel Border and the Handlettered Greetings dies on both cards...just making them using different sentiments, color schemes and materials. I used two different colored green cardstocks on this first one. There is a white layer underneath to bring out white dots in between the colored "leaves" of this color schemed corbel border die. I used a white embossed strip underneath the two kraft layers(for depth) for those white dots...
... I adhered adhesive to the embossed strip, adhered the strip to the kraft layers, and then deposited the different colors into each particular kraft opening, like a puzzle:)!! I layered the die cut sentiment and adhered the whole panel onto a white card. Here's a close up...
The second card is using the same Corbel die with a different sentiment, using a rainbow color scheme and paint chips!!...
This one, I used a black strip underneath all the color, to have black dots show through, instead of white! Here's a close up...
OK...that was so much fun!! The corbel border is SO pretty, and SO much fun to fill in with color and the sentiments are SO PERFECT with the border!!
And now, the fun part for you all! Simon is giving you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate on my blog and on every blog stop...just leave a comment by Sunday:)!! The winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp Blog! Here's a list of all the other amazing artists that are in this fun hop...
Hope you will have fun checking out this new release and all the creative ways to use the amazing dies this Diecember and all the months to come:):):)!!! I've listed the dies I've used on my cards along with all the dies from this wonderful release below!! Yay!! Happy Hopping!!
Hugs!! Lisa
