My sister left for home last night😞...I headed to my craft room to make a card. I used a brand new die from Simon Says Stamp, Hearts Align and a new set of stamps, All My Love, along with some paint chips to make a card with a bit of play on words...
This sweet new die is made up of a border of hearts which each contain three hearts within each heart...heart pieces. I thought the "LOVE you to pieces" sentiment went perfectly with all the heart "pieces" on the card. I used five paint chips, each with three shades of the same color on them. The darkest shade is in the middle heart of each heart, the lightest being the biggest heart. I added three enamel dots for some whimsey. Here's a close up...
Oh, how I am LOVING this new release...MORE to follow!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
Be still my rainbow loving heart!
ReplyDeleteI placed an order for the new stamps/dies from your previous post. Hmmm...now I need to place another order for this die and stamps. Should I wait for another post? Undoudtedly I will love whatever you create and need to buy everything you make it. This is simply lovely!

beautiful card. I think I need to order from Simon now.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome way to use paint chips! Simply Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWow, Lisa, I sure do love this!! Beautiful rainbow of hearts!
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and am your newest follower. Your card is beautiful and very creative! Having never seen this die cut before, I have some questions. Did it create the white border around the hearts as well? Where did you get the "Love you to pieces" stamp? Thanks so much Lisa!
The Hearts Align die is a die that cuts a border PLUS three heart shapes within each of those bordered hearts. Hope that makes sense. The "Love You to pieces" sentiment stamps are from the Simon All My Love stamp set. Both the die AND stamp set are linked to the Simon online website above these comments...hope this helps?!:)
DeleteI understand what she is asking...the hearts look embossed. How do you emboss with a diecut? I love the raised look and using paint chips...ingenious!
DeleteUsing paint chips for color variation: GENIUS! Love that idea - thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! My wish list just keeps growing! Beautiful cards and lots of inspiration! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these. Thank you for all the great ideas.
