Ok...I know...I admit it...I case cards quite a bit:)!! What can I say...I LOVE other artist's works!!! Diane on Splitcoaststampers(fionna51) is a stamper whose work I've admired for a long time! She made this card back in July and I loved it so much I used her idea to make a similiar card for a friend of mine's parents when she unexpectly passed away last month. Then, I just made another for the fall. Here are both:
Both cards are made with a wheat stamp from Hero Arts. Diane had made her card with 3 different stamps (I LOVE how that looks, but couldn't find any 3 flower that came close, so chose the huge wheat stamp). The first one was made with 3 different colored papers..none of the colors are known by name, but one is kraft, one a gray/sand and the other a light blue. I used versamark and clear embossing powder. Cut each strip and lightly sponged ink around each panel(I think I used crumb or sand) and placed and popped a white strip across them all with a Papertrey Ink sentiment(Gracious Vases). Layered on white card.
This second one was done with glossy white paper, using versamark, heat set with heat gun and used distress ink to add color(Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick)...resist technique. I used Java Bazzill paper and another sentiment from Papertrey Ink (Fall Elegance) stamped in versamark with white embossing powder.
Thanks for looking, hope you have a great weekend!!

I just got that stamp two days ago and I am thrilled to see such a beautiful card to CASE. I like them both but I seem to make so many sympathy cards for our church, that first one is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteoooo I like these a lot, the colours on the first are just so appealing to me but they are both beautiful :)
