To the Point...Thanks

Today's card uses the My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges die and Paper Smooches Quote Tag die for the sentiment...
I die cut the stitched edges from five different colored cardstock that was all wider than 4 1/4".  Why, you ask??...Well...when die cutting, the point where the die angles may be a little off with each die cut, so if the cardstock is the exact width, the cardstock may fall short or long on one side or the other.  SO, to make sure there is enough cardstock on either side, the cardstock must be wider than the card size, to be able to cut it down when finished die cutting.  After die cutting, adhere the pieces to the card, and trim the sides, bottom and top.  The sentiment was layered, here's a close up...
I have such fun playing wih my dies!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

  3. And to think all we had was a few stamps, some black ink and a set of markers when I started stamping years ago! Now we get to stamp (maybe) and create with all sorts of dies and other supplies. It truly is amazing what's available now. Who knew! I especially like the stitching on your card.

  4. It's a simple card, but yet it's obvious you spent time and effort to make it.
