Spring is right around the corner, and Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their latest release, Spring Plush, a wonderful collection of over 20 lovely large Spring imaged dies, along with over 20 different pretty colored felts, and an adorable set of stamps..I am LOVING all this Springtime goodness!!
I am so thrilled to be a part of this fun blog hop, joining some amazing artists, showcasing the sweet new products of this new release!! You should have arrived here from the amazing
SUZY PLANTAMURA'S blog!
These dies are wonderful as stand alones and can be made into decorations, easter basket/Spring gift additions! These dies are also beautiful on cards, and I have made a couple cards using two of the new dies! The first I used the Tulip Bloom die combining felt and textured paper...
I die cut the tulip twice, one for front, and one for the back, stitched together with a darker red floss, and used some cream colored floss for the detail stitches. The leaves are the middle petal of the flower die, stitched with similar colored floss as their textured paper. I also cut away the bottom right corner of the card, rounding it with the tulip. The petals of the flower were stitched so that the tips were left open to hold a small pressie, for my friend. Here's one idea ...
And here's another...money is always nice😊...and it tucks really nicely inside the tulip...
The second one, I used the Charmed Heart die, this time using a piece of linen along with a piece of cardstock underneath for stability and then stitched them together, and adhered felt hearts and leaves on the heart to decorate it:)!!
The background was made by stamping the new Simon Says Stamp Gingham Background stamp. I also used the Simon Painted Hugs die for my sentiment. Here's a close up...
Oh...these were SO MUCH FUN!!! Stitching is SO much fun!!!
