Did you ever start out creating with NO IDEA of what you were doing, or where you were going with a card? Today is the result of one of those days...
I knew I wanted to use my Simon Mini Flowers and Leaves, but wasn't sure of much else. I pulled out my Simon Stitched Square dies and thought...wouldn't it be cool to make them kind of into diamonds down the center of the card? Then I decided to let the center "diamond" be the place to put all my mini flowers. I added a striped panel in the background and a birthday sentiment from the Simon Jumbo Stripes stamp set that I cut apart and stamped on top of each other, rather than side by side. Here's a close up...
What a fun card to make! THEN, I had leftover pink and orange flowers that I didn't think I was going to use, as I opted to use blue and yellow on the card I made, so I made another card...with a sentiment from the same set as the first...
It's so hard to tell unless you see this up close and in person, but I took my Wink of Stella pen, and gave some glitter to the middle flower...

ReplyDeleteLisa I uldnt imagine you ever struggling for ideas on how to use your stunning flowers and die cuts but I suppose everyone has to have one of those days. Coming to your blog is always a guaranteed way of helping my mojo along. Both these cards are stunning.
