I absolutely love releases at Simon Says Stamp!! They are always exciting and inspiring...but one of my most loved releases of the year at Simon Says Stamp is the STAMPtember release...not only is the release filled with Fall, Winter, and Christmas products...my favorite times of year, but the release has become an event... filled with so much more!!
STAMPtember® is an event created 7 years ago by Simon to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping and those who love to stamp! Simon not only has an amazing release, but has video tutorials, loads of inspiration, collaborations with other companies, giveaways, and blog hops, to name some of the "happenings"! Imagine how super thrilled, and incredibly excited I am to not only have been given some of the wonderful products from this STAMPtember® release to play with, but to be asked, along with some amazing artists, to showcase those products by way of this amazing STAMPtember® Blog Hop!!...
I LOVE flowers!! The new Stitched Daisies dies are amazing...these are some of the most versatile flower dies I have ever seen... I LOVE THEM!! I made 4 cards...yes, 4, so bear with my long post:)! The first three cards have the exact same layout, but what I wanted you to see is the different ways these wonderful dies can give your cards very different looks... even with the same simple layout and die!! Here they are..
This first one shows the stitched daisy UNDERNEATH the die cut outline on the top card panel. LOVE the stitched outline around the daisy...this would be beautiful simply by itself, but I opted to put a stitched daisy underneath the cut out. I used the new Basic Stripes stamp set (a bunch of the stripes on one single acrylic block...easy peasy!!) along with the new Simon Stone ink (also swiping around the outer ends of the base of the card's sides to match the card to the plaid panel). I die cut the Simon "hello" and layered three times. Here's a close up...
The second one, I opted to put a layered daisy ON TOP OF the die cut panel...
I used the Stripes stamp set, again, this time with the new Willow colored ink (swiping the edges, again), and and older set of Simon Thanks sentiment stamps...
The third one, I used a piece of patterned paper, and die cut with the largest daisy, like the first two, but filled with the medium die cut daisy, so it was an inlaid daisy with a tiny space of yellow showing through the die cut panel, with a stamped Simon "Smile" sentiment...daisies ARE a flower that makes ME smile...
Here's a close up...
The last card is one that shows you how you can ALSO use these daisy dies to make flowers on their own, without the borders!! AND although you COULD make daisies, I opted to make a card with SUNFLOWERS...VERSATILE... making the smallest daisies yellow(two for each flower), and I used a bigger brown center to mimick a sunflower. My daughter's fifth year wedding anniversary is in two days, and sunflowers were the flowers at her wedding, so this card is already in the mail...
I LOVE the versatility of these dies!!!!! I used some Simon stems and a Simon tag along with a Simon sentiment, all from older releases, all of which are listed below:)!!
I hope you will check out the release at the Simon Says Stamp store...there will be a month long celebration with a wonderful collaboration between Simon and other companies throughout the month, LOTS of events and happenings going on, so hope you will stay connected to the SIMON BLOG!! OK...now that you've seen MY fun, it's time for fun for YOU!!
Simon will be giving away a prize to one lucky winner from each of the 12 blog stops on the hop...that prize will be one of the surprise collaboration stamp sets(Check out the BLOG for all the collaborating companies...WOWSA!!) coming out later this month...a perfect prize for this STAMPtember® event!!! Simply leave a comment on each blog for 12 chances to win one of those sets!! Winners will be chosen on Monday, September 7th!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog on this hop, the next stop is the amazing Wanda Guess!!
The hop begins at the Simon Says Stamp Blog, so if you encounter any broken links while "hopping", you can head over there for a full list of participants!
Thanks, again for being a part of the hop today...hope you've had as much fun as I have...Happy Hopping:)!! Lisa
